theresa menard - Congratulations, good luck in the future. Don't be going back over to Liberia.
carol foggo-klos - Wow, congrats to you for beating Ebola...ignore the ignorant haters on here...most of Nebraska is filled with better. God Speed!
shelley juma floro - Omaha is so blessed to have UNMC. Good luck!!
carrie smith - Wonderful news for him! I hope and pray that the people in Liberia can have the same care...or even a fraction of it to end their suffering!
rosalie bonney - What a hateful person. I won't say any names because anyone that reads these comments can figure out who I'm talking about... You should be ashamed of yourself.
josh karas - good luck on the dating scene bro
todd riner - Stop going to Africa! !!!

caleb carolus - Don't get me wrong, I support the guy, I just wish they would have kept him a little longer for fear of it becoming inactive...
geraldine williams hood - I'm certainly glad for these people who are getting "free" of this terrible virus, but, what happened to "there is no known cure" for Ebola? Another of the many lies we are spoon fed? Or are they actually developing the cures as they go?
joy jensen - UNMC works miracles daily! They helped my cousin Matthew Brophy Sr and saved his life near 9 times.
shelly muckey - He has insurance and his employer paid for his trip back. It was no burden on taxpayers
kleo ghostdancer warner - Lmao why? He went to Africa on his on. He should be thanking us for our tax paying money that help him beat this virus! He isn't nothing special. Why is it that now days people take these jobs as a professional and expect for people to care about there mishaps from on the job incidents? I dislocated my collarbone the other day at work. Can I get some help paying medical bills? Probably not!
charlene potter - Congratulations Great job Medical team.

WOWT 6 News: UPDATE: An alleged intruder who was shot and killed was out on bond, awaiting trial in two separate cases.Comments:
rick mangold - Saving taxpayer dollars. Good job!!
michael moore - He got what he deserved! Glad the community is fighting back to protect their family and property.
bobbi terry - Somebody is going to say "he was such a good guy".
scott ruckman - If an intruder entered with a gun take him out with a gun
morgan lambert - Good, now onto the next, let's keep the trend going!
connie coenen alexander - Now watch, his family will try suing the person who shot him. This world is so upside down.
sarah snyder - A man tried to break into my moms house a few days ago and got a loaded gun and flashlight in his face. He ran but i hope he realizes how he could have been shot between the eyes! Stupid thieves! Lol
patrick roeder - Good guy and helpful kid, yeah helping himself to others belongings. He probably put his hands up too. "I broke into your home but please dont shoot me!" People making excuses for criminals gotta love it.
daniel r sutton - Good riddance. More and more of these stories are popping up around the country in the media. Good evidence of why the second amendment exists.
miranda klausner - Awaiting trial on 2 separate cases and had just got out on bond, ya, he sounds like a good guy. People make mistakes, but he obviously wasn't learning from his.
michael roberts - Wouldn't even had the chance had the justice system done the job right the first time and not let him out on bond....The justice system needs fixed and not just a money revolving door now someone else has to live with the fact they were forced to kill someone or be killed themselves
becky pluth - What the hell did he think would happen when he went into somebody's home with a freaking gun!!! SMMFH
travis mitchell - Law obeying citizens exercising their second amendment, saving tax dollars, and freeing up the courts. Give this guy a drink.
kris mikels - Sorry, no tears for him.one more off the street.
kevin herron - Obviously what he did was wrong by breaking in but Ty was a good guy. I met him 2 years ago at my job and then ran into him at the gym I went to. Always super nice and helpful the last I saw of him was in August after we did abs. Crime is wrong but Ty was a good guy in my book, rest in peace
lindsay boffa holding - Saving Taxes! Woo hoo!
taylor burkum - You break in. You die. It's such a SIMPLE concept.
dan duffy - What do you mean alleged, he broke into the house and was shot I think if he was shot dead in the house he got what he asked for.
michele weibel kennedy - They saved the tax payers a little money !!!
rick domenge - Idiots are here defending him too , it was a mistake! Spilling milk is a mistake , being an armed intruder makes you a POS!
sam chatham - Yeah, this word "alleged". WOWT, I do not think it means what you think it means.
- Christmas is still 2+ months away, but we're already getting details about the shopping season (Type: link | Published: 2014-10-20T10:45:07+0000)
WOWT 6 News: Christmas is still 2+ months away, but we're already getting details about the shopping season from CreditCards.com about where people intend to spend their money. That got us thinking: How soon is TOO SOON to start talking Christmas. Sound off -- your comments may end up on WOWT 6 News Daybreak!Comments:
julie yeshnowski - Any time before black Friday. Please let us celebrate Halloween and Thanksgiving before the C word is part of anyone's vocabulary.
jacqueline miller - My mom starts shopping the day after Christmas for the following year. She is already done shopping.
heather thomas wehling - Thanksgiving seems to be the "forgotten" holiday with Christmas being so commercialized and over advertised so early. After Thanksgiving is when it should be talked about......... like it USED to be! :)
alan leach - Bah Humbug, outlaw christmas.
erika sencenich - I start shopping for Christmas the day after. This year I'm behind usually done by now but I will be done by thanksgiving and everything wrapped shortly there after. Then I sit back and enjoy a stress free holiday season
kim smith - The only time it's acceptable to talk about Christmas, is Christmas Day. Guess which one I am...
shannon yager-jones - I start asking my kid what she may want so I can buy little by little...however we dont decorate until after Thanksgiving
joshua raj rajaee - When they pull Halloween decorations from Home Depot here in LA and stock the halls with Christmas decorations at two weeks before Halloween...They cut Halloween early, skipped Thanksgiving and went straight to Christmas...What is that all about?!
cathy mcdonald - I am due to have our third baby days after Christmas. I am already planning for Christmas. Though, we basically asked family members for gift ideas that can be bought online or ideas for places/ events they would like to attend. No stores for me, if I can help it!
conchita tolles - When the stores sell Christmas stuff in October or before thanksgiving, don't buy it until after. If everyone did that instead of complaining maybe the stores would get the hint.
brandy wegner - 65 days TIL Christmas!!!! ❤️🎅🎄🎁
bobbi chapman - Christmas season should start after Thanksgiving, preferably in December.
dustin mcauliffe - Have they cancelled Halloween and Thanksgiving? Seems like we go straight from swimwear to Christmas now.
julie emert - Just because someone thinks about Christmas early doesn't mean they have forgotten about the other holidays! People have a right to start thinking about it whenever they want to. I love all holidays and no amount of Christmas shopping before Thanksgiving is going to change that. I don't understand why it makes people angry or upset. Some people just like to get things started early so that they aren't having to scramble during the holidays.
meckenzie gleason - I'm starting to shop now, simply because buying for everyone in one month is too much for my budget. I'm thinking I'll be done just in time. However, I do NOT like seeing decorations for sale already...
becky ronkar-hissong - I've started shopping already, but the tree and decorations always go up after Thanksgiving.
ashley myers - They shove Christmas down our throats earlier and earlier every year, like we all forgot what day it is. I think it would be appropriate to start stocking store shelves a week or two before Thanksgiving and keep all the commercials off tv until then as well.
shannon thies cooper - YES! Please wait until after Halloween....at least! :-)
shelly hayden - As a crafter I start thinking about what to make people for Christmas In October as some projects take time. But otherwise not till after Thanksgiving. We do tend to forget thanksgiving . We shouldn't as we should be thankful for God's blessings. And to shop on thanksgiving is so wrong. 🍗
kristina thompson - Heck, yeah.
Making customers vulnerable to credit fraud and identity theft is no small matter.
connie katterjohn - Not yet. Christmas is gonna be depressing this year. I have no money for it.

WOWT 6 News: Doug McDermott cheering against the Huskers? He sported a purple polo in a video played in the stadium at Saturday's game against Northwestern. See what the former Creighton standout had to say when Ross Jernstrom asked him to explain himself. Do you have a problem with it?Comments:
josh bartek - No tired of hearing about this what allegiance does he have to Nebraska he played for Creighton and he is from Iowa. He can wear what ever he wants
matt oberle - In other news, someone dared to cheer against the huskers. Oh and it's a super slow sports news day.
rachel neill - What does it matter? He's from IOWA, played at CREIGHTON, and now is playing professionally in CHICAGO. What does he owe Nebraska?
andrew seberg - Who cares!? Isn't there something else actually related to a sport in Nebraska? UNO Hockey swept their first conference series last weekend. Why don't you give them some press for once?
connie coenen alexander - Next time I'm going to lend him my game day pin.
casey abler - Why did Ross have to ask him 'to explain himself'??? He can cheer for whoever. The world doesn't revolve around cheering for the Huskers.
dave hudson - He plays in Chicago, so why wouldn't he support Northwestern. And he DID go to Creighton, not Nebraska. Must be a slow news day if this is a big deal.
tater salad - C'mon, get a story !! This is Doug adapting to his new town of Chicago!!
scott theobald - Explain himself... what? He went to CREIGHTON!
emerson cole - Why is this news? He's from Iowa, went to Creighton, and is now an Illinois resident. Stop being an idiot. How about some real news?
brian mann - NEWS FLASH! Not every resident of NE is a Husker fan!!!
jeff harris - He played for CREIGHTON people! He's no way associated with the Huskers. Get over it. Man, Husker fans are stupid........
mindi richardson - Why does he have to like nebraska? He played for Creighton. He can like who he wants!!!!
victoria jolene - Anyone can be a fan of whatever team they'd like.
kyle tobin miller - Did he go to Nebraska? Didn't think so.
linda stessman schmitz - Why does he have to explain himself? Just because he went to Creighton University, which so happens to be in Omaha, Nebraska, does not mean he has to cheer for the Huskers!!!! This is ridiculous to make it headline news! Seriously!!!!!!
galen donovan - Only dweebs get offended by this kind of thing. McBuckets and DoubleGfor3 for life!!
robert kniewel - He played basketball at Creighton not at Nebraska so I dont care who he was supporting
derek stephens - He didn't go to Nebraska, he went to Creighton. He lives in Chicago now. Who cares.
shanon stamp knight - Last I checked he never played for UNL, he played for a team who beat UNL in a game or 2. Why would anyone think he should be a Husker fan?
chuck herring - Huskers=Lincoln. Creighton=Omaha. Evanston is in Chicago, same city as the Bulls. Am I wrong to think Doug McDermott might live in the Chicago area now and not in Nebraska?

WOWT 6 News: MISSING: 14-year-old Kaylee and her friend are still missing. Kaylee's mother is frantic. She was in the Old Market all day passing out flyers. http://www.wowt.com/home/headlines/Mother-Searches-Downtown-for-Missing-Teen-279838552.htmlComments:
lori crosby - Why is the photo showing John Chapman instead of the girls?
tyna assa - How does anyone know if they were taken, coerced, or ran away? No matter what they are minors and are MISSING. Let's find these girls and if they took off then let the concerned mother handle that.
tracy thompson - Is the other girl's mother worried or concerned about her own child..
heather mcpherson keeran - Amber alerts are for all missing children... As a mother that went through this I know your heartache .. stay hopefull .. I hope her and her friend come home safe
lisa malone - The other girls step dad said they aren't looking because the police have more resources than those of us out searching nd passing out flyers....WE are out there passing out flyers that have pictures of BOTH girls on them. We want them BOTH home safe!
jessica rangel - Oh my heart aches for that mom!! Please if anyone knows please say something n hope shes found safe
xane olson - This same mother youre all worried about showed up at our house beligerently drunk LAST night. After her stupid Daughter lied to Kaitlins mom about taking them to the old market. Staci kicked her car and tried to cause a fight.
julia woods - The other girls name is Kaitlyn Traxler and her family is searching as well.
melissa watson - Yes an amber alert is only issued if you have an abductor description and vehicle info. This is really scary I hope they are found alive.
cindy keene - We as parents never truly know our kid's so I hope she didn't take off for some reason. Either way I hope she's found safe.
jeff benson - Wheres the amber alert. Isn't this what a amber alert is for , hours matter now it's turning to days ???
jen evans snow - Why no Amber alert???? Can you tell what schools they were from? Any more info would help
brittany lincoln - Is it just kaylees mom trying to find them cause if so it shouldn't just be her it should be the other girls mom too and hope she gets home safe does she know anyone over here in Omaha
melissa bradley - Xane why must you run ur mouth when kaylees mom has been up day and night looking for her. They have found Kaylee but I guess friend ran.
charlie volcek - Can't they call their cell phones and or track their phone activity? Young girls love their phones...
sheri mundy - Malorie Maddox is the other girls parents not worried about there daughter? Not much has been said about her.
angela buckley - You know what terrifies me? Anyone hear about the serial killer dumping bodies. ...like 7 women now. There's no missing women around the area hes dumping them but there's missing women between here n Indiana where he's dumping them. Just pray they are ok.
cara james - One girl is back home safe....sounds to me like there's family issues stemming for poor parenting
emily mcguire - It just says kaylee and her friend, as in the other girl doesn't matter or have a name. Why?
wendi winger-condon - Oh my gosh, I hope this girl comes home soon...her mother is going thru hell
kristi hadden - They have been missing since Saturday
- FOUND! Kaylee (on the right) has been found safe. Her mother says she is back home tonight. No (Type: photo | Published: 2014-10-21T02:22:49+0000)
WOWT 6 News: FOUND! Kaylee (on the right) has been found safe. Her mother says she is back home tonight. No update on her missing friend Caitlin.Comments:
brian smith - Safe at home and possibly grounded until she is 37.
caroline hartung vernon - Here's an idea......Boys Town!!!!!
christina white dizona - If only kids understood that running away takes away from finding real lost children.
elaine wilkinson - There really should be some legal repercussions - this happens SO MUCH that it makes people not pay attention when a kid actually is abducted.
emily burr - Where were all of you when they first went missing. And this was all over the media. It's not the media nor the police that should be contacting you, it is YOU that should be contacting THEM and making a scene to find this poor girl. Just like the other mom did. Hats off to her, stood up, made it known, and most importantly found her daughter.
julie emert - I am happy she is home safe. Hopefully if she was gone on her own free will, there will be consequences.
sallyand ian jevons - I pray Caitlin will be found safe too.
emily burr - I can see that you're here now, commenting on a post that the other child was found safe as the other ran off. We were all here sharing the photos, watching out everywhere we went, and listened to the mother say how she had zero help or information from the other child's family. If you were out along side of her looking you would have already found her! Get up, get out there, and find this girl too! We will all keep a look out, especially since it is another poor child. Quit blaming everyone else and go find her!
emily burr - If my kid hadn't come home in 2-3 days, I'd be out there day and night looking, just like the other mom. Look at the awareness she got and I'm sure helped her find her daughter. Where are the other parents at on this?
lisa auten - Xane...it says the other is still missing. Who cares how you spell her name. Quit harping on the news station who has been trying to help from the beginning. This sounds like a case of two teenagers running away...guess maybe attention needs to be diverted to the children who were abducted. Maybe these kids should have to answer to the juvenile court...
shellie rhoden - Let's be thankful she is found safe and sound and leave the rest to the parent(s). No need for nasty comments and parental advice here.
missy carlson - Xane instead talking bad about the news station get off the Internet contact the mother of the girl found to see where she was located and get there as fast as you to see if she is still in the area. The parents of these girls should have stuck together from the beginning looking for them then they wouldn't have to be waiting for someone else to update them on their child.
yvonne julio gomez - A girl is missing and people are more worry about spelling.
xane olson - There is still another girl missing! Her name is Kaitlin traxler! Fix your bad reporting!
megan l karls - ^^^ calm down, they said the other one was still missing... the spelling of her name isn't important, the fact that she hasn't been found is though... they can only report what they know.
danny n chelle - My daughter.....18 years old with no connections to the girls spent her day in old market handing out flyers and helping to find BOTH girls ....Xane....As her uncle were you at work as well as your sister today ? And not out looking ? Thanks to the help of my child and many others your family was LET KNOW whom she was seen with what the make and model of the vehicle is and the area she ran off with this 22 year old boy was ... my daughter also let your friends/family know that there planning on fleeing to Colorado ... The fact that you are on here being so negative to the other girls family is ridiculous ...shame on you ...and as I stated on previous sites shame on her mother for going to work and not joining forces with caylees mom and family to find the girls had she chose to go look or even you instead of working she would've gotten her daughter tonight ...my child gave this information over a hour ago ...WHY IN GOD'S GREEN EARTH ARE YOU STILL ON HERE AND NOT OUT LOOKING !!! furthermore no one chased her away !!! They wanted them both safe she ran with this man....
amanda kreifels - The other girls name is Kaitlin! She is still missing and her mother is worried sick! Please keep sharing and looking! Her name is Kaitlin Traxlen! She needs to be found too! The family of Kaylee saw her and let her go! She needs someone to pray, care and stop trying to figure out who's right and just find her!
melissa bradley - Your getting all mad xane because Kaitlin ran and Kaylee didn't. That's not kaylees moms fault and who are you to judge her
missy carlson - Amanda I have been following this since before the news posted anything. I'm a mother of a 16 ur old girl. I was a teenager at one time also. I've been following closely for those reasons. I don't know either family personally but I have checked each Facebook profile repeatedly to update myself so while I'm out running errands or going to and from work I can keep my eye out. So actually none of the information I had gotten was from the news. It was from the frantic mothers Facebook pages.
amanda kreifels - Kaitlin is still missing! Please, please keep sharing her photo and looking for her! Her name is Kaitlin Traxlen! She needs to be found! She's 15 and a CHILD!!!! The police are not helping the parents! No one is!!! She is a CHILD! Since when has it been okay to let a 15 year old who was reported missing first go when over 20 people were there to see her! Help her please!!!!
kayla graves - Glad she is safe, hope Caitlin is as well.

WOWT 6 News: Armed intruder shot to death in Bellevue identified as 21-year-old Tyrell Dalia of Omaha wowt.com/a?a=279702152Comments:
leanne meckna - I love that people are defending their family and property. Crime will ultimately go down if everyone follows suit.
kathy harvey - I'm glad more people are protecting themselves , their families, and their homes. Maybe someday these losers will take a hint. I double dog dare em to come to my home lol.
jessica merkley pastor - Want to bring your crime to Bellevue? Well welcome to Bellevue, most of us are legally armed
melissa k erickson hojnacke - I am sure he was "turning his life around".... glad he can't hurt anyone again!
lindsey leblanc - Thank you for saving tax payers money.
duvon dushaun perkins - I get what he did was wrong I myself would shoot to kill but he was part of someone's family, they will miss him and that is their God given gift to do so. That being said its rude to demean them for that. Good or bad family is family. If your family member was gunned down today for doing the wrong that doesn't mean you stop loving them tomorrow.
hannah mueller - I'm absolutely disgusted at the way people act. Yes he was in the wrong yes he had made mistakes and yes he should NOT have been breaking into this persons home. But that fact of the matter is people are being so cruel when a kid my own age from my highschool DIED last night. Show a little respect and try to imagine how you would feel if your son or nephew were in this position. I hope all you "adults" feel absolutely ashamed of yourselves for the lack of tact you've shown.
angela marchant - When are they going to realize you can't break into people's houses??? They are NOT going to like what happens next..
del hazelip - Hats off to the homeowner, they'd get the same at my place.
beverly decarlo hazuka - Bang bang 🔫🔫
kimberly a shady - Don't break into other people's houses!
cassie bell - This was just a few months ago about him..
john farrington - Just a pic to reduce the tension here....
sarah marie fredrickson - In life every decision you make has consequences. Those consequences can be good, bad, or indifferent. Unfortunately when you choose to live a lifestyle full of crime one of those risks is prison or death. It is sad this person couldn't have made better choices, I am sure his family wishes so too. The person who had to shoot him I am sure would have wanted a different outcome but when someones choices puts your own life at risk you fight back and you have every right too. Hopefully out of this entire thing it helps deter others from thinking they can break into someones home- I am sure it won't but that's why there's firearms for protection and to be used in situations as such.
emanuel ortiz - He broke in and was armed. What happened next was a textbook definition of what needed to happen. Armed man breaks in, home owner defends himself. Hopefully the other criminals use this as an example of why they shouldn't break in to people's homes.
brian chase - We all assume the worst. We don't know the circumstances of the persons life. We don't know for certain his passing. You all are sheep who feed into the main stream media for your first hand judgment call on a person who's died and you pass judgment and criticize their life by how they left this world. Grow up and regain your humanity. A young man died last night. Mourn his death, that is the tradgedy.
jerome jackson - Rip...even though u made a bad decision u are still human. Apparently most of the ppl leaving comments never made a mistake in their lives were they can condemn those that do.
kristopher warren - Kinda stupid breaking and entering in Bellevue. Lots of active and retired military. I hope the legal system doesn't harass the home owner on this one.
sean conaway - But he was a good kid. Not
amber smith - Just never know who ur gonna meet when u break in someone's house.....justice served
katie budd - That's what you get

WOWT 6 News: How many times a week do you eat at home with your family? With busy schedules, maybe not as often as we would like, right? But this next week is Omaha Family Dining Week, a time where area families are encouraged to cook and eat at home as a unit. Help us make it easy for families to participate by sharing some of your go-to recipes below. Then tomorrow on Daybreak, WOWT's Jordan Shefte will be discussing the benefits of gathering around the table. #OstartshereComments:
carol willmore - I make dinner for my family of 6 almost every night. It is cheaper for me to fix dinner home than to take everyone out to dinner. Even a fast food value menu can cost us over $25 or $30 to feed everyone. I can make three meals at home with that same amount of money.
jody grancer - Anything can be thrown in a crockpot, let it cook all day while your away, put a liner in and cut out the cleaning time. Pintrest has hundreds if meals for crockpots or make your own combination!
betty klingemann - It's all about planning ahead. Choose your meals for the week, make your grocery list and stick to it. You will be amazed how much money you will save. And you'll eat healthier because YOU control the ingredients! Avoid all processed foods!
carol willmore - Best recipe's come out of my imagination....lol....a pound of hamburger and a pantry work wonders......like tonite I had a pound of hamburger, two cans of tomato sauce, two cans of tomato's two can's of chili beans, a pk of chili mix, or a tablespoon of chili powder works just as well, a tablespoon of sugar and a tablespoon of flour and boom! you have chili for all! I buy groceries once a month and got for a few supplies in the middle of the month.ie: milk, bread etc.......
lynda parks tomsu - Go to allrecipes.com and you will find a wealth of recipes easy ones to very involved with reviews to help guide. I have always cooked over the years and save lots of money plus take pride in fixing my family's foods.
amy malone - Enjoy those meals while kids are young folks...mine are teens now and driving off into the sunset and eat when ever they get home!
I do however make sure I cook early if they have to work. ;)
april udron mather - Crockpot are the best!! I cook every night! It takes planning but it's worth it
sandy eckert - I am proud to say I eat dinner 6 nights a week with my family I truly enjoy that time😍
jessica roberts - Chicken fajitas cook some chicken breast with bag of frozen pepper mix (red yellow and onion) add garlic if you want or any other spice and throw on tortilla shell. Wham bam.
lauren miller - Let's cook dinner one of these nights! Kellie Elizabeth Hamilton Aimee Lynn Kelly Woodworth
stacie dienstbier owen - I love the app Yummly. It's awesome! I just made Sour Cream Noodle Bake tonight and it was a hit!

WOWT 6 News: An investigation is underway into a possible sexting incident at Elkhorn South High School. We're still digging into this story, but here is what we know so far.Comments:
roger hagedorn - Forwarding the pic is a misdemeanor? I hope that means the girl who sent the pic as well.
cece houston - I think it's very interesting how carefully WOWT worded this article compared to the blasting you gave Benson High School kids for something far more harmless. This type of media bias is exactly why Omahans have a 'less than realistic' view of the kids in our city.
nathan duffy - Possible sexting incident? You realize that literally every teen with a cell phone sexts right?
jake davis - Underage kids sharing pics, on devices under contract to their parents, parents are responsible for the service use (like on a landline if kids ran up long distance bills in the days of old), thats a potential child porn charge. Possibly exploitation of a minor too, since it was shared around.
max fu ham - Ladies can sext me as long as your over 18. Pm me for my number
teresa hungate - Time for parents to GROW A SPINE and start taking away their kids cell phones for a change. That's just ONE way to stop this kind of crap from happening. If it happens on a tablet or PC, then TAKE THAT AWAY TOO! Kids aren't going to learn what is or is not acceptable if parents don't ENFORCE rules! And before people start saying "that won't stop them" or "why blame the parents"......bottom line, if parents aren't checking on their kids phones, tablets or PC's, then WHO do you think is going to stop this or at a minimum TRY to prevent it? It isn't the Teachers OR School Faculty members jobs to police our kids cell phone habits. It falls completely on the parents to ensure that their kids are being safe and making smart choices.
joseph lee vampola - Haha duh it's Elkhorn South...
jan evert - How does this have anything to do with the school? That's what I don't understand.
bella melcher - Don't want your minor daughters nudes getting spread around? Raise a lady!
Youth these days are so disrespectful to themselves it's disguisting!
chad e. eagle - They need to start charging these kids with distribution of child pornography. Even pictures of themselves!
lauri labs - Lets talk more about those rocks?
ruth manzer - Max. U r not funny.
matt hernandez - ...they are kids people. Kids do dumb things. Maybe she will learn not to send nudes to ppl. Kids these days dont get to live lives anymore. Some are acting waaaay out because of this. There are too many laws and school regulations. U want to raise my kid and tell them what they can and cant do 24/7? Start paying for food, clothes, luxuries. As far as im concerned successful adults today werent walked around on a leash as adolescents.
derek stephens - I'd rather see real news and let the school deal with it when they figure out what's going on rather than continually see crap journalism from WOWT.
kevin liewer - Pretty minor in the grand scheme of things
wichman david - Maybe it is just a rite of passage for kids...kind of like drinking and underage parties according to so many ..
orlando neri - I mean c'mon that's a teenage little boy you're sending nudes to. They take so much pride in the fact that they got a nude that they send it around to show it off. Pathetic on both sides, and also a pathetic story from wowt. Thank you WOWT for sharing a story that's been happening in possibly every single school in the US.
kara bachman - No surprise since many of their parents and families live in either Spring Ridge or Fire Ridge subdivisions, both known as "swinging" neighborhoods. Watch for the rocks in front of houses-let's others know they "swing". More moral degradation sifting down to the children. Shame on the immoral parents!
chris n heather evenson - With all the things one might be tempted to say about this, there is only one thing that can truly help... It is written, "Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else." Everyone makes mistakes...
leslie golbitz eades - I believe distribution of child pornography by a minor, under age 19 is a class IIIA felony in Nebraska.
cody djknumark thomas - This must have turned into singling some body out at the school and a student is now being made fun of or now someone is being labled as a hoe(sorry for language) I'm guessing the student then felt like he or she was being picked on so now teachers and staff got involved.

ron peterson - Nelson mandella.
todd weber - Looks like Obummers oldest son
james duncan - What if that is a mask?
carmen stevens - Why would Mogan Freeman to rob a Omaha bank. He could give to the poor . He has more money than that man
khris dryden - I bet Andy Dufresne knows him!
lori olsen - I am gonna say Morgan Freeman as well!!!
dimitrias johnson - Morgan Freeman is doing bad
jay rainey - It looks like Mike Fritz but not 100% sure.

WOWT 6 News: The average price of unleaded gas is now $3.04 per gallon in Omaha. The price has dropped five cents in the last week, and nationally prices are expected to drop another 20 cents. Are the lower prices providing any relief for your wallet?Comments:
shane conaway - It's a big indicator that elections are close.
sandy christensen kanger - $2.89 in Council Bluffs. It can keep going down!
karen k pahl decker - and just in time for the elections!! How convenient!!! No celebrating until milk, meat, and produce are affordable.
cory chase - I would say yes but I have to disagree because I happen to go to the store last night and spent 5.00$ on a gallon of vitamin D milk holy cow
carol willmore - It's an election year ...of course things are going to drop....wait til after election day and see if prices are still low....then I will be happier about the drop in prices....right now it is great but as we all know it won't last....
stephanie wendt sobotka - No kidding...you'd think elections were coming soon. ;-)
evs evy - Carol beat me to it. It's election time = gas prices drop.
samantha vincent - $2.97 in Omaha as well. Or at least it was this morning
daniel nun - Once the elections are over they will shoot right back up. Just a way of playing politics
rick fisher - It's below $3.00 a gallon in Kearney.
cody muckey - 2.81 in sioux city
chris smith - $3.04?! It's $2.94 everywhere I look...
jennifer harkness gatzemeyer - Im on vacation in Arkansas and the price is 2.72!!! Why is Omaha gas usually higher??
myra jensen - Not really and how long will it last?
sharon pacetti - I am sure they will go up after the election!
pete boncordo - Not till they go down to under a buck
david dugger - helps me with my business as a HVAC contractor
debbie callhoun - $2.99 few days ago
joan porter - A little.......I will take lower prices as long as they keep the quality of the gas the same as before the decreases.
lou ann brown-dohse - It's 2.95 at Kum & Go on Fairview Rd in Bellevue.
denise wojtaszek - sure are, especially with my Hy-Vee fuel saver!

megan boatman - How about we beat him to death?
tiffini sanduski - Nice tough guy, taking it out on such a tiny dog. Hope the felony charge sticks!
anna marie blessing - How about his punishment be the same as he did to the poor defenseless dog?!? What a waste of oxygen!

tina carpenter - Low life piece of trash!!!! I hope and prayer you get a cell with an animal lover and he beats you every night
kathy allman marlow - It my wildest imagination, I cannot understand how someone could do this to an innocent animal. What would he do to a baby if it wouldn't stop crying?
lorraine sawyer kats - I have ZERO tolerance for animal abusers!!!?
kelly marie hoadley - I have spent time with this adorable dog and his owner is my good friend. Gizmo was such a sweetheart and was Cassi's baby! This guy deserves everything that he has coming to him! Love you Cassi!
cassi dietz - I'm not sure the exact punishment but I know it's 1-5 years in prison.
margo leibert - They say this is how serial killers get started...
cassi dietz - He's not innocent Andrew Morrison. He confessed it to me and I have it on recording. It might not have been his intention to kill him but he did throw him which resulted in my poor defenseless dogs death.
melissa frazell - That poor dog. :( I hope the judge gives this poor excuse for a human the max sentence.

WOWT 6 News: NEW: A second health care worker has been diagnosed with Ebola in Dallas. Click the link to track the latest. #OStartsHereComments:
denise stenzel robino - Thought they said Ebola was hard to catch. Seems otherwise...
rod schoening - Gee......I'm shocked. Who would have guessed that bringing someone with Ebola into a country that had NO known cases, would be such a risk. (Tons of sarcasm implied here)
tom newuno - Any one still want to chime in about how prepared our healthcare system is? I must say I am quite disappointed with that hospital in Texas....
But, we judge successful treatment based on UNMC.
Fact is, UNMC has had an amazing track record...
Fact also, UNMC has been building a team of doctors, training, ect... for months before they even got the first case...
IDK.... I also laugh about those saying the first died because of racial reasons...lol
Still think that? Or is it possible he just went to the most incompetent/ill prepared hospital in the state of Texas, and maybe in the entire country...
Obviously that made one heck of a difference...
mollie easter - If he was truthful in the first place, all of this probably wouldn't have happened.
lindsey meints - Stop bringing them into the United States!!! Ugh!
jake davis - ITT: Clueless people with instant medical degrees. When I read comments for channel 6 news stories I feel like the smartest person on the planet.
laura marie - Personally, I don't freak out over this Ebola virus. Obviously the Dallas hospital screwed up somewhere seeing as other hospitals didn't have staff getting it. I think I was more scared about the swine flu than this ha.
patty ann - Take the medicine there not bring them here
tyler neu - It's funny how the media again fails to report that this healthcare worker contracted it BEFORE the ebola patient knew he was infected. It can take 20+ days before having any symptoms. Got to love the scare tactics by the media. It does worry me that these workers went home likely to a family before they knew they were infected ....
heather clayman brown - They need to develop a vaccine and blow up Liberia. Thats the only way to get rid of this crap.
erica mcclellan - Oh lord...it just takes 1 to start an epidemic
mindy may davies - Month for UNMC ? TRY years however it could still happen here also ...
tenaha patterson - Mayhap start an investigation by throwing everything they claim about ways of transmitting the virus out the window...#fromscratch
emily christine rayfield - Thank you Dallas for this breach, if we get a massive outbreak now we know who to blame ... Omaha has been treating people for it and have kept it contained! Maybe they should get some pointers from them!
carrie kreiser - Well if they're following the CDC's protocol it's no wonder people are becoming ill as you'll note from the picture it states to take the gloves off first really common sense tells you you don't take the gloves off first and this is from actual training for nurses for handling Ebola
lacy ann - I know theres still a few days left for their isolation but even his family who he was around before he went the second time haven't had any symptoms. That is why they are saying there was a breach in protocol, which could simply mean they didn't have that one person watching them remove their protective gear to make sure they were doing it exactly right. Obviously very few hospitals prepared for this knowing it was a posibility.
carrie kreiser - Because the guy went to the hospital and didn't tell anybody he's been in Liberia they need to check everybody that may have come in contact with him
tricia westergard - The first nurse only had contact with him on second visit ...
mike mcdonald - I'll make this simple for everyone. It you were not part of a health care team that provided care for someone infected, you do not have nor can you catch Ebola.
jaice hunter - Stfu. I dont read comments
jenifer welch - Good god...protocol was completely breached..now they will send flipping everyone to Nebraska... where I live
