Corbin Bernsen: Okay, so you seem to be having some "fun" with the photos posted so here's another one from last night; mom, my son Oliver and Grace (birthday girl) all stylin' the shades! We are all blown away by the largeness of the community and incredible compassion behind this journey! I just landed in Florida to hear that - cross fingers - tomorrow she may be headed home! She's a fighter, but has ALL OF YOU in her corner, powering her through this. That is why this has had miraculous turns. Again, I want to be very clear, still a long road to recovery and whatever that means - "recovery," but we are marching steadily toward the mountaintop! The climb continues and while the top is in sight, the journey never stops. I'm embracing that more than ever!Comments:

Corbin Bernsen: As promised, new photo of me and mom just taken tonight! Hopefully FB will allow me to post a photo of my mother and I celebrating her incredible journey and miraculous recovery. This time I gave the thumbs up for good luck. If you're wondering about her glasses, well, they're somewhat of a trademark of hers... let's just say she owns the female rights and equivalent of what Jack Nicholson holds for men. Her spirits are high and we all (brother, sister, and full family) "charged her room" after a birthday celebration for my niece Grace. It was the "icing on the cake" to an incredible evening and couple of weeks. Enjoy, and hopefully FB will respect my and her wishes here to share this with you. Once again, she wants me to tell you how much she loves you all and is so thankful for your continued thoughts and prayers. As am I. Sleep well and rejoice in the potential of a new tomorrow!Comments:

- I'm glad most of you had a chance to see the photo, but along with taking it down came a "threa (Type: status | Published: 2013-04-22T15:08:47+0000)
Corbin Bernsen: I'm glad most of you had a chance to see the photo, but along with taking it down came a "threat" that if I continue to post photos like this they will shut me down. I think it's all pretty generic and they don't even really look at what they are taking down, only acting on someone's "reporting it." I think what might have happened is that some people posted a photo I only put on Twitter - which has more relaxed standards - of my mom giving me the finger. I didn't post it on FB specifically out of respect to FB and some fans who might not want to see it. I think that someone reported "that photo" up on a few peoples's pages... not really sure. Either way, most of you saw it and you can still find it, so I'm not going to risk getting "shut down." That said, I will take another photo today with me in it with her - a smiling "family photo" - which they should have no problem with. And given that she's doing better each day, it will be a newer progress photo anyway. In the meantime, FB hasn't responded to my request to re post it, so perhaps many of you can "flood them" with the request and challenge what they have done. They need to know that they've made a mistake. I will, through the day, try to reach higher up at FB, but I'm just a guy on TV, so who knows. I do want to repeat something here that was removed with my post that I think bears repeating more than the photo... my mother ADAMANTLY, ABUNDANTLY AND WILL AGGRESSIVELY try to get back to work. She ain't done with Duchess! Look for photo later in day. Last, a big shout out to my Niece Grace (Caren't daughter) for her 16th BIRTHDAY. Happy Birthday Gracie! Our roads across America will never be the same. Drive safe, live large, and continue to be that incredible woman you're becoming!Comments:

Corbin Bernsen: Unfortunately FB has taken down the photo that I posted today of my mom in hospital and her great recovery. I'm not sure how to challenge this with FB. It was her idea, with her approval to take a photo to post to say "hey, look, I'm getting better, and thanks for all your prayers and thoughts." As you saw, so many people appreciated this and then FB took it down! Not even sure how or where to contact FB to say please put it back up. She's disappointed it was removed as so many were thrilled to see her smiling face. Does anyone know what to do here. This is ridiculous. She's doing great today, but this was a bummer.Comments:

teresa mccrea - Maybe you can repost it.
suz denker - FB has no business doing that, I'm so sorry to hear would have LOVED to have seen her recovering after praying for her!
sandee maione - Why would they do such a mean thing?
donnie killeen - They may have done it because she is an actress and maybe they didn't like the idea of it being posted ...just saying.
robin root - can you re-post it?
margaret o'hair - :(
jacqueline f irving-mueller - Daniel Goddard posted the one of her flipping you the birds. I loved it and shared it on my page. Bless her heart and love her personality it is a no wonder we love her so much. Love the humor..
laura sims powell - Send it to a few of us and we will all post it... It will take a while for them to censor us all.
amedria amy stovall - Post it again if it is still on your phn or tablet.
margaret o'hair - has to be a facebook glitch
sharon cohen - Just happy to see her feeling better. Don't have a clue what to do to get it back online. But you could always post it separately and all you have to do is put the link to the pic on your post. Take care, Corbin!!!!!
- A mixed bag of potent emotions today. First and foremost, family; Mom is doing remarkably well (Type: status | Published: 2013-04-19T17:29:11+0000)
Corbin Bernsen: A mixed bag of potent emotions today. First and foremost, family; Mom is doing remarkably well. In her own room now and I just spoke to her, with clear "I love you's" going back and forth. I know she's not thrilled about any of this... if you know her, followed her over the years, or have read her book, you know she's ready to get back into the world and kick some ass. I'm headed to LA this weekend to be with her. Very excited to see the progress. Then in the same moment, like the transition here, my heart and thoughts go back to Boston. (For those who just want "mom" updates, you can skip this part.) But I'm experiencing the most strange emotions here. Of course my prayers continue to go out the victims and there families. They will be in my thoughts for years to come as are those from 911 who I still remember almost daily. They help me focus on the evil only to know the good, the heroes, and our ability for human compassion. What has happened in Boston brings focus to what is ultimately good about us. Then, and this is the most odd part... my heart goes to the families of these two young men who committed the most evil of acts. And to them... weird. I look at their photos and think of my four sons, not far off in age, pictures from what looks like high school, that so resemble the kind of photos my own kids have been in. And I think, "there but for the Grace of God go I (we, us) I so desperately want to know how darkness enters a child's heart. I see a softness, especially in the younger brother who his family describes as "an angel." Where and how does this evil enter? And ultimately "why?" I know we are all brought together through tragedies like this, but at such an enormous cost? Perhaps if we start to act more human in our daily lives we won't need tragedy to help us see the light. Okay, yes, rambling again, but I warned you it was a bag of mixed emotions. So thrilled about my mom, going home to see her, and in unbearable pain, grief for all that has transpired and continues to transpire in Boston.... and of course West, Texas. Just so much one heart can take in a day. Deep breath... focus on the light, the light, the light...Comments:
derrick fenley - I will keep praying for your mother and the people of Boston.

Corbin Bernsen: Good news continues for my mom as I believe she is being moved out of ICU to a more "comfortable" room. I was able to Face Time with her today and I can't tell you how amazing it was to speak to her and hear her voice! Her sense of humor was in tact, the greatest sign of all. I want to take a moment here to express something that - as usual - I'm at a bit of a loss for words for. So much of my reporting to you in the last week has been a sincere effort to convey her status and progress. And with your magnificent, steady prayers she has, day by day, improved. Yet still I feel a bit "guilty," weird. I mean, with all the other suffering going on, it's hard to celebrate this miraculous recovery. Also, about that, her extraordinary recovery... I've looked back over the posts because I wanted to make sure that I have been truthful and accurate. I know for a fact she was in extreme, life threatening danger that was even made more clear to me than perhaps I let on. But then, she did improve, steadily and somewhat defied the extent of the terrible news I was delivering. I want to make sure no one misinterprets this as my "making more of it than it actually was." I can guarantee you that wasn't the case. Her recover has been nothing short of "miraculous" and very quick considering everything. That will be, if all continues in this fantastic way, the legacy of this... the effect of prayer and the ability for miracles. As always I want to close with making sure I'm accurate once again and letting you know that which I've been told... remain cautiously optimistic. That will most likely last for some time now but in the upcoming days I'll most likely drop it from these posts. I will keep the connection with you both regarding her recovery as well as "what all of this ultimately means" in the bigger picture. I also want to take a moment to once again thank the INCREDIBLE STAFF at Cedars Sinai hospital who have helped in this miraculous recovery (that involved a lot of non miracle, expertise and kindness.) Also, I haven't mentioned my brother Collin by name, or my sister Caren who have stood by my side, holding me up and shared in your kindness. I love them both and feel closer to them than ever.Comments:

kathy corley westberry - prayer works, my friend. My Aunt suffered a stroke while in the hospital with pneumonia this past week. She had to be flown to another hospital and has been moved out of ICU. She still has a journey ahead of her, but - considering all the other ways this could have turned out so far - we are in a good place. God hears our prayers. I pray for comfort for your mother as I am praying for my beloved aunt. Have faith, be strong, stand in God's love.
