- Miranda Kerr's parents have made a tearful public plea for their supermodel daughter to come ho (Type: photo | Published: 2014-02-07T21:11:19+0000)
TODAY: Miranda Kerr's parents have made a tearful public plea for their supermodel daughter to come home to Australia. It’s been revealed they haven't seen either Miranda or their grandson in over a year. What do you think of the public comments made about Miranda Kerr by her family? #today9Comments:
vanessa mcgregor - Seriously???? My mum lived in England while here in Australia I had three children. Of which she saw the two younger ones once.
It was wrong to go public! Why don't they jump on a plane and go to America??
annie connolly - How's about a little coverage on the drought & farmers committing suicide #today or stories that are happening in your own backyard that actually affect this country!? Is this really news worthy? Is there any benefit to everyday Aussies hearing this news? Come on, you can do better than this!!
jacki mattock - Yep . Sorry more pressing issues in the world right now. 1000's of sheep dying in live export. Drought- Farmers suiciding , SPC workers losing jobs, people homeless, I could go on !
kerri fuller - Why is this news??
ashleigh kate vannes - Just because their daughter is a public figure it does not mean all aspects of her life should be on display especially when this is a very private matter. I think its selfish of the family to do this publicly.
ann-maree minogue - Their family shouldn't have gone to the media, how ridiculous she is a grown woman and they should be dealing with this privately.
nathan katie munro - Bad bad bad idea if there is a problem that just made it so much worse.. I'm sure there is nothing stopping them from getting on a plane & going to see their daughter & grandson!
sainimili ugavule - & this is our problem because? There's a drought going on in several parts of the country at the moment. Cloncurry (Qld) residents may face evacuation if they don't get any decent rain soon BUT somehow THIS TRASH is more "newsworthy". Awesome journalism #today
nicole roberts - It's emotional abuse and very manipulative on the parents part.
dodie phillips - Come on Today! Surely you can report on better and more relevant issues!
anthea sherry - Really? This is news?
sam gibson - She's a grown woman with a child & a career which just happens to be overseas. Keep the family life private. If they are so desperate to see her why can't they fly over there? I'm sure she would pay for the flights
nicky asseraf - You are becoming a joke nine network. Seriously.
belinda braid - Get off ya arse and go see your daughter... Dumb story
jenny-mae brown - This crap happens to everyday people. Who really cares bout their issue.
cheree baker - Really channel 9 ???? I think your on a down hill slide into the abyss of grotty grotty.. I think I could possibly stop watching... Coupled with the Liz Hurley Bill Clinton blah blah and the continued coverage of Shapelle Corby your becoming very very draining to watch hence a DVD now not you... What happened to news ????
mel vella - Why would you make this public, to try and embarrass her into contacting you? If there is a problem you just made it a whole lot worse.
wendy cuthbertson - If it was my daughter and grandy I'd buy a ticket and fly over to see them! Problem solved!
heather ross - There is always a reason but we don't have to know,
I agree with everyone, keep it private.
joanie somerville - Simple solution instead of going to media. 1. Take time off work. 2. Book Plane Tickets. 3. GO and see YOUR daughter. Done.
jodie mckenzie - It's a conversation that should be between Miranda & her family. It should be private not shared with the public. It will only push her further away by using the media

TODAY: Happy Valentine's Day from the boys! Karl and Ben changed the date… "Because real romantics don't wait!” #today9Comments:
laura mckenzie - Awww, they are both super cuties!!!! Love them both!!!! xxx ☺️💗
mellissa hannaford - What a beautiful couple they make!!!
trish rulla - I hear you only did it cause it was cheaper??? :p
don zonneveld - Jenny & I are getting married (pirate theme) next year on valentines day on a carnival cruise, we can't change the dates now guys i'd have a mutiny on my hands
josie knocker - Love it! Valentines day is a little over-rated, too much pressure on men to come up with the goods.
vanessa pickard - Love those 2. Such mischief. Love to have a beer with them, can only imagine the giggles (from them not me}
jenny andersen - I'd rather get flowers when they're not Valentine priced. Any time would be good actually Terry Andersen and I'm not talking White Wings either!
tracey price - Thanks boys, its the only flowers I will get :-) :-)
cheryl-lee williams - Ohh, thanks boys, they are beautiful 😘 Just a bit if a shame its the only Valentine ill get though ❕ Lol
sharleigh smith - Oh love those 2 hehe ♥♥
dawn freeman - you guys are the best, love your work! ;)
mandy golden - How nice to see you boys get into the spirit. But it shouldn't take one day of the year to tell the one you adore that you love her.
cheryl-lee williams - Ohh, thanks boys, they are beautiful 💋💋 Its just a shame they will b the only Valentine i will get ❕ lol
leanne small-rankin - Like a pair of naughty schoolboys
sharlene thus - At first you look cheap, but in hindsight the prices they charge on the actual day are ridiculous and more people should refuse to pay those costs. The day is a bit of a carry on anyway. Love should be shown daily, not annually.
richard french - well done guys, looks like you guys have made us guys look bad, then again I get the consensus that you guys are cheap!!! lol!!!
alison lee buys - My fav guys on today . You both crack me up..
donna turner - Funny love Ben he can do no wrong.
lanny edey - Which cemetery did you flog them from boys?
melissa zaske - Mmmhmm Ben can give me flowers anyday ;-)
cynthia jones-horne - Legends....love them....

TODAY: Ben has got in early... he's already given his wife a bunch of flowers in the lead up to Valentine's Day. Karl asks, "Is Ben's idea - to celebrate Valentine's Day early - solid and romantic or cheap and nasty?" #today9Comments:
christine lily fittler - I would be happy with flowers any day..... Early, on time or late it doesn't matter. For those of us who don't get anything just to get something would be nice!
michelle croucher - I would prefer flowers any other day than valentines day.. that way I know he wanted to buy then and not pressured into it by the commercialisation of the whole thing! We don't do valentines day.
fiona brooks - Why spend $100 for roses on the 14th February when you can buy the same flowers for probably $30 -$40 any other day??? Ridiculously commercial.... Great thinking Ben, I've said for years don't buy flowers etc for Valentines Day!
kerrie sampson - Just because I love you ...not because its valentines day ...no problem....good on you Ben
valo rose - I came home last night to my favourite flowers. My boyfriend said the same- why wait til the 14th!
andree dennien - Valentines Day is just an overly commercialised day....
jess todd - Aw so romantic and she better get another dozen roses on the 14th too!
amy lee - I cancelled valentines day years ago! Waste of money I would rather my husband spend it on our TORANA or BOAT (I love fishing!!!)
tara wigley - My husband doesn't believe in Valentines day, he thinks Valentines day should be any day of the year not just one specific day.
brittany clews - You shouldn't need a 'dedicated' day to show someone how much you care and love them. You should let them know everyday and I'm sure people would agree that doing small little things for your partner that makes their life easier is more special then roses and chocolates.
nat jones - Ben, Karl or Pete can buy me flowers any day! Those boys are Smoking Hot!!!!!!
lexi morley - I would never complain if my husband brought home flowers. Any spoil is special :)
melinda gault - Wives love flowers any day and it shouldn't just be on Valentines day
barnes-mayman johnandmargie - don't like valentine's day would rather be surprised with anything big or small on any other day means more
desley keeffe - My husband is spontaneous he surprises me with flowers several times during the year. When I ask what they are for her replies because I love you. We have been married 31 years we celebrate our love everyday, saying I love you and mean it everyday.
debbie limb - Good on you Ben....I think this is a lovely idea.....I must say that I really don't think much of Valentine's Day.....any day should be a day deserving of love and flowers.... :-)
michelle oberman - Valentine's day is over rated it's too commercialised..........So what if Ben & Karl gave their wives flowers early good for them at least they got something ........some people don't get any thing from their partners.
christina elbrow - Think about the rose growers who spend all year trying to grow a massive amount of roses for V.day. Boycotting V.DAY hurts them and the florists as unfortunately people don't buy roses all year round, and we want to support our local rose growers. And now heat waves to make it even harder. Support all these small businesses!!!
jesse james - I Think Valentine Day is Cheap and Nasty why s it we need a day to celebrate the love we have for someone be it your wife, a girlfriend or someone you admire.........Sadly its Just another commercialize day like Easter and Christmas............
sharon hallinan - Should show them you love them everyday not just one day a year.
billy ray fuller - I'm told by the missus that foreplay starts in the morning and continues right through the day and that my doing the dishes gets here right in the mood for love. Maybe my missus and Ben's move in the same circles.

christine tipper - A giraffe walks into a bar, has 3 pints of larger, gets up & falls over. A visitor walks into the bar & asks "what's that lying there", bar tender says "that not a lion that's a giraffe" - sorry - couldn't resist!
katrina brunker - A giraffe walks into a bar and the bartender says, “Let me guess, a longneck?
kathy silcock - Did he ask for a longneck?
sam aukland - I bet that whatever he ordered was served in a tall glass.
steve templeman - Drinks only top shelf stuff. I'd hate to see it "legless".
anthony lee - And the barman said.. "why the long face"?
debbie wigg - Lol he was in need of a cold one
jacqueline kogan - A giraffe walks into a bar, the barman said "we have a drink named after you" to which the giraffe replied what Kevin?

TODAY: A new survey reveals 21% of engaged, married or divorced women are left disappointed by their marriage proposal. Is the proposal really that big a deal? #today9Comments:
gayle halford - Why do women think its all about them? l feel very sorry for men!!
stan glennie - It’s because the whole idea of engagement and marriage has been turned in to a circus and too much is now being expected.
karla mar - Only to 21%......the other 79% obviously aren't pretentious cows.
jo pratten - no. My husband's proposal was while we were out Window shopping. . Him.. Do you want to get married? ..me. I suppose so...him. ok lets go look at some rings....30 years later we are still going strong :-)
kat pee - It's only important to people who think the wedding is more important than the marriage
nicole voigt - There are too many people hung up on the Hollywood moment! Life is not a romantic comedy, your future husband will not ride in on a white horse and sweep you off your feet. If that is what you are after, your life will be an eternal disappointment. If he loves you, supports you and does a load of washing occasionally, then in my humble opinion he is "perfect".
em jones - No, because if the right person is asking you then it should be perfect anyway💚
jess smith - I don't think it's overly important neither is the cost of the ring. I think simple is better. In years to come it will remind you of humble beginnings. I feel sorry for these men who spend thousands on a ring. Mine was a $600 ring purchased at boxing day sales. You gotta start somewhere and starting at the top only sets you up for disaster.
kristien dwyer - I love love love how my fiance proposed.. christmas eve infront of our babies let me open 1 present there was a box inside a box etc. When I finally got to the last box he got down on 1 knee and asked while my boys were watching.. PERFECT.
jacqui ricketts - Why can't these women just be happy ?!!
See ... These days women expect too much so they can brag to their friends and on social media!!
Bitches .. REALITY CHECK PLEASE!!
Everyone thinks they are a KARDASHIAN pffffftt
nicole sztainbok - No neither is the wedding the most important thing is that if you love that person with all your heart doesn't matter where you are married or how you are proposed too it is that you are together xx
gary clift - Can someone explain to me just what "left disappointed by their marriage proposal" means ? What it wasn't showy, gaudy, romantic, personal enough ? I think the trend of those individuals who go to great expense, involve exotic locations and thousands of other people including family, friends, supporters at major sporting events, or morning 'news' shows in order to turn their proposal into a you tube sensation are to blame, and now they are all trying to outdo each other. IMHO boring, trite and somewhat demeaning. Whatever happened to taking the woman you love to somewhere you both have an affinity for and asking (on bended knee) her to marry you ? Then if she accepts running back to tell the family and friends instead of inviting them along for the performance.
cheryle gericke - If people stopped expecting their life to emulate fairy tales, soap operas and movies their would be less people disappointed in every aspect of their life. Make your life on your own terms and not expect it to be anyone else's ideas
adrienne cowan daly - priorities people! My now husband proposed to me while we were out walking in a park. He just stopped and dropped down and did it. Sweet, simple, beautiful and in no way disappointing. The best part? He took my 7 year old son with him to pick out the ring and they both kept it a secret. The fact that he included my son in the process was just so lovely and thoughtful :-)
jenny coghlan - My hubby asked me in his sister's bedroom while we were watching her foxtel, no ting or anything.. Sounds disappointing, but- I asked him the next day what made him propose then And he said "I was thinking: 'this is nice, this is what I want' ...so I asked".
andrea j portors - My late husband threw ring at me and said put this on your finger
cynthia slattery - No, I didn't get a symphony orchestra arriving at my work with my fellow arriving by horse with a giant ring - but what he did was considered romantic and a HUGE & romantic gesture at the time - especially for a young 20 yr old man!! But, 22 years later we are still happily together with 2 kids. Forget the engagement and wedding - the important thing is the marriage!!!
kim taylor - We had know each other through school, he was my brothers best friend, he always hung out at our house, a year after graduation in March 1977 he asked me out. The question came out of no where! I accepted! The next weekend he asked me if I wanted to take a ride down to the beach. Okay halfway there, at a red stop light he just blurts out
"Your going to marry me! " the following February 1978 we were married! Yesterday we celebrated our 36th
It's be wonderful.
helen blackburn - i picked my own engagement ring and knew that i was getting it that Christmas morning no complaints here as i know that my partner is not very romantic but loves me i dont need all the glam to show that you love someone
yasmin clayton - It would be nice to be proposed to romantically but as long as you love each other thats all that matters :)
charmagne jennings - some woman place such high expectations on men and I wonder how good they are - FFS be happy you were asked - men are different to woman and most do their best
- A father has uploaded videos on YouTube teaching his sons aged seven and 12 how to be car hoons (Type: photo | Published: 2014-02-05T19:51:35+0000)
TODAY: A father has uploaded videos on YouTube teaching his sons aged seven and 12 how to be car hoons. They’re shown doing burn outs until smoke fills the family driveway. Tell us what you think - is this right? #today9Comments:
sally ann smith - I have never heard such a load of crap in all my life. He is not teaching them to be hoons. He is just letting them be kids. Is it better if they sneak off and do it somewhere unsupervised? All we do is complain about kids watching too much tv, playing too much computer and never getting off phones and tablets and here's a dad willing to get out and spend time with his kids doing something fun and exciting. I remember in my early teens going off with other kids and driving around bush tracks and fire trails in old bombs and doing outrageously dangerous stuff with no supervision and my parents certainly didn't know what I was up to. As far as I know, everyone I did that with is still alive today. At least they're doing it in a controlled environment and hopefully will be learning something about vehicles and how to handle them before they get out on the roads.
shaun wilson - Why do all news shows have such a problem with cars and burnouts? just why? I know its makes old ladies and uneducated people who don't like cars watch your show, but it just makes people who like cars really upset and angry. I think you guys should go to a car event and have a couple of passenger runs and see why we enjoy ourselves so much.
Im totally against burnouts on the streets but hating on a father enjoying his hobby with his sons on private property should be left well alone. would you rather he not have fun with his kids and bond?
Today Show Australia
lois almeria steep - This guy knows what he is doing and I agree with his teaching method, I was also driving on my own at the age of 7, I had the luxury of being raised on a beef cattle property. We would do burnouts, skids and go paddock bashing every weekend, however, my mother emphasised that this was behaviour was only to be done on the farm!!! By the time I got my L's I knew how to handle a vehicle with confidence, I'm 46 and have never been in an accident. This man is a brilliant father, to all the people who have written negative comments, have a look in your own backyard, how many of you smoke in front of your kids, how many of you drink alcohol or take drugs, how many of you have speeding fines, how many of you are in violent or abusive relationships ..... people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, sadly, we live in a world of political correctness!!! This man has the right to raise his children the way he sees fit!!!!!!!
kate birch - I bet his kids know how to handle a car better than most adults
belinda pesch - What a stupid thing to say Linda Norman, to take his kids off him! Quick to judge arent we, im sure this father loves his kids dearly. Small minded people.
natalie lock - Move on, Stop telling us how to parent, stop judging. No matter what, no one is ever happy with anyone else's actions in the world. How about we start to support people and give positive encouragement, any idea what a news story like this can do to a father spending time with his kids? we are judged enough... give it a rest.
amy swetman - I'm a farming wife and mother of two. I can say without a doubt that this topic will separate the townies from the farmers. Farming kids grow up learning to drive from about age 5, they sit on Mum or Dads lap to start with and then by age 10 most of them are already reversing the utes, tractors and have great control on quads. I don't see anything wrong with this to be honest. He doesn't seem to be beating them or molestering them. And on the flip side I think cotton wooling your child is far worse then letting them paddock bash a few cars. My opinion anyway.
ryan burns - It is the Australian way
anthea perry - The more driving experience our kids have on the road the better, surely!! We all grew up doing this stuff, are you all forgetting this!! ( well unless you grew up in the city, I guess) I believe we were much better prepared for the road. It is obvious this Father loves his boys and is trying to teach them about cars, it's just been portrayed very poorly, as well as spending quality time with them. Society and the media is so quick to judge. We live in such a Nanny state and there is little room for physical, active little boys. Maybe some of these people need to look at what there doing with their own boys, are you allowing them to play like boys?? and develop their own interests? There's not many boys that wouldn't love spending the day with this family. My boys would be there in heart beat!
ryan burns - Once again to all the people out there trying there best to be politically correct....an Australian hero at age 7 in a vehicle with no doors and more horse power doing the exact same thing, get a life and worry about the growing drug problem with kids not a dad teaching his kids to have fun on a farm
dave moran - Everyone's condemning this but does anyone know the conditions of his drive way, is it on rural property, is it under controlled conditions. I'm all for teaching your kids vehicle control and a burn out is a good lesson. I learnt to drive at a very young age which in turn made me a good driver and there were a few burn outs in my lessons but it was on a 100 acre property. Get all the facts first is all I'm saying. The media would have you before the firing squad before you even get a fair trial.
denis opie - Ppl just don't get it the more hooning he does now while he is learning will make him safer on the road all you do gooders wouldnt know how to handle a car in a bad situation I bet this kid will! you will all just let go of the wheel close your eyes and start screaming .
raymond larkin - We were the same grew up in the country, doing all this and more!!! Then we were taught if we want too do burnouts legally we had too do it at the local drag strip or other legal competitions which we still compete at today and I'm 39!!!!!
samantha elliott-halls - There you sit, all of you, judging this father for doing something you consider to be wrong. I'll not accuse or judge him. He was in his own driveway, in his own car, with his own children. Those children were off the streets, causing no problems, being directed by an adult, taking and following instructions, in a safe environment. We complain about fathers not spending time with their kids, kids wondering the streets with nothing to do, stealing, smoking, etc etc etc. We complain about hoons on our streets, doing burnouts, breaking laws. Here's a father, teaching his children.....what? None of us were there, none of us know the full story, none of us in fact, have any real idea of what was going on. Maybe you should all work on your own errors and flaws before passing judgement on a youtube sequence of a man and his boys.
chezza walker - Best dad ever 👍 only way to learn how to control a car in a frantic situation on the road, is to lose control off the road! I was doing the same when I was 7!
These kids will have more experience by the time they are licensed, than half the judgemental flogs commenting negatively! Maybe if you all went and participated in an advanced driving course you'd know this.
Burnouts at competition level, believe it or not you small minded fools, are a growing, popular and widely supported form of safe Motorsport.
The younger the better, just look at Jake Myers at this years summernats, at only 17 he qualified for the top masters class in his first competition against girls and guys that have been competing for 20years!
Way to judge a loving father, and put the boys in a position to be bullied by the children of people like yourselves. Bravo
scotty fox tucker - Sounds like a good dad I started driving at around 6 and my dad and brother showed me how to do skids drifts donuts and reverse donuts on the family property but I knew then like I do now there is a time and a place. But sadly due to wanker do gooders like most on this thread controlled environments where this type of fun and sport are becoming few and far between.
If you want to stop it on public roads support reasonably priced venues where enthusiasts can enjoy what they love
darrin lawton - He's the father.....he is supervising his son......private property.......end of story.
sharna hitchcock - Almost every child living on a farm knows how to drive and skid by 8. Everyone I know did roughly around that age... And not one of them has had a serious crash. The ones who have had a serious crash lived in town with no driving growing up. It's invaluable what they learn. And saying no to a 10 yr old learning in a car is like saying the same child can't learn to ride a dirtbike doing jumps & tricks if they plan to get a motorbike licence later on... Oh no. What they could do on the roads then. Htfu.
russel soper - so many do-gooders here, pray your own backyard is clean and that your glasshouse is safe from stones. Nothing this father has done is illegal, why don't you go back to knitting socks and keep your nose out of other peoples business
rebecca bykerk moroney - Pretty sure most people that live on property teach their kids to drive , this is pretty much the same. Far as I'm concerned , he's doing a better job being a father than some of the dead beat dads I see who only want to get drunk ( or worse ) and wouldn't know how to spend time with their kids. It's on his property, they aren't speeding around, I didn't see a beer in his hand ( so he's supervising properly ) , what's the big deal.
richie day - This country is turning in to a land of softcocks it doesn't matter what you do there is some prude telling you that you can't do that this bloke is spending time with his kids people need to learn to mind there business

- OLDER DRIVERS: The national debate about older drivers has been reignited after a 90-year-old d (Type: photo | Published: 2014-02-04T19:41:39+0000)
TODAY: OLDER DRIVERS: The national debate about older drivers has been reignited after a 90-year-old drove a car onto on-coming traffic, travelled down a grass embankment before coming to a stop on Bondi Beach. How old is too old? Are they a danger, or is it just a bad reputation? #today9Comments:
rachael wright - I think you should have to be retested when renewing your licence irrespective of age. There are just some people who shouldn't have a licence and it's got nothing to do with age
renee darcy - I think everyone should be retested when they turn 70. Just to check their reaction time and driving skills are to scratch
daniel o'flaherty - Test Asians drivers annually
daniel o'flaherty - What about asian driver the biggest danger on the road
nick o'keefe - Dont see that many 80 year olds doing burnouts or drag racing up busy streets putting everyones life in danger! At least I dont think my 80 year old Mum does!
sofie vesuvius - People do get retested. My great grandad is a great driver, and he's 96. It all depends on the specific person, not everyone is the same.
nat tilley - I think everyone should be retested every 10 years or so. Most people get their license in their early 20 and then nothing again till their 70. It's not just the elderly and the young.
jah taiapo - Young drivers are just as bad as old drivers. Speed, talking on mobiles and drink driving. Why are we singling out older people?
chris robinson - My mum turns 90 tomorrow, she has a restricted licence. She can only drive 15 k's from her home. She drives to the bowling club which is about 1k and the shops which are 2k. She does not venture any further. It gives her independence to be able to at least see her friends and buy the essentials. It is so important for her sanity.( and mine)
erzsébet bodor smith - My father is classed as "Elderly" purely because of his age. My father is a perfectly safe and responsible driver. He knows when to place boundaries when he is not in a state to drive, he knows when to take a break, etc. My father is also in good health. Why should his independence be taken away from him? Sure, it's understandable that there are some drivers who may experience medical issues but who doesn't? We all make mistakes when we least expect it - age should not factor that in. Put yourself in the shoes of someone your senior - how would you feel if your licence was taken from you when you've never had an accident, are in good health and it's only your age that is an apparent worry? Oh and how often do you hear the senior members of our community being in accidents in contrast to the young drivers of today?!
rennay smith - Bad reputation. Not all are bad drivers. I think they just need to re sit the test from a certain age an each 5 yrs or something after that.
mary mullins - It really annoys me when everyone gets on the age bandwagon when an older persons has an accident , but when a younger driver slams into someone's house or a shop front NO-ONE says a word. Lay off us older drivers alone!!!
nick o'keefe - At least this was an accident. Not like the Hoons who purposely speed, run red lights and kill people! Whats being done about them?
monica calabrese macgregor - I saw an old man at Safeway in gippsland struggling to get out of his car took him about 10 min. Then he had to get his walking stick to help him stand up out of the car!!!! Wtf!!! How the hell would he have had good reaction time if he has to walk with a walking stick. Took him a good 10min to walk into Safeway. I was mortified so I called he police gave them the rego and they said 'we will investigate to get that driver to have a refresher driver skill done'. It's a bloody joke. At the retirement age of 65 it should be mandatory to have driver refresher coursers every 12 mths. Absolute joke how many older generation over 80 still drive and some aren't even capable of walking on there own.... NO GOOD!!
robyn core - I'm in my late 30's i need knee replacement the doctors are not allowing me to drive. So why is it ok for someone to drive with one eye and in their 70's.
brento appel mercer - How about "S" plates for seniors so other drivers are aware?
laurén maree pritchard - My neighbour is 93 and she drives daily.. I shudder every time I here her car start, and a manual mind you...she also has one eye that looks like those pearl marbles I played with as a kid and also starts the car when it is already running Omg too old to drive.. I think 85 should be the cut off.. There is an age to start there needs to be an age to stop!!
inge robl - Maybe some of you should take a leaf out of the older driver's book........How do you think they got to be 90?? NOT By speeding?? or texting while driving?? and using their mobile phones?? showing off to his mates.. All of you will get old and then see what you think when the younger smart ass generation think your TOOOOOOO old.. The 90 year old got to be 90 because he Didn't wrap himself around a tree while being DRUNK.
tabitha jayee leo - Maybe everyone should be tested. The amount of 30-45yo that cannot drive astounds me. So people should stop turning this post on others because clearly there's people in all age categories who cannot drive.
They shouldn't be age based, it should be based on their competence level.
nick o'keefe - Maybe 18-25 sure be tested every year!
annie mcg - Stop this 'ageism'. Every age group has its issues on our roads. This poor man may have suffered a heart attack or seizure at the wheel like any 30yo could. I doubt very much he was high on weed or some other substance like so many on our roads. It's a freak accident and they happen.

Sharn (Type: photo | Published: 2014-02-04T09:30:00+0000)
TODAY: WEDNESDAY: This fit mum has advice for other pregnant women on weight gain and cravings. Sharny Kieser joins us LIVE after 7.00am. #today9Comments:
vanessa muscat - My advice would be to eat them and enjoy gaining weight for a relatively short period of your life. You're growing a human!!!
dimity wastell - Omg when are ppl going to realize that every pregnancy is different! Some gain weight some dont!
carol winikerei - Just let a woman be pregnant geeeee, deal with the rest later. Enjoy your baby and if you can excersice while at it good.
natasha walker - This is seriously bad journalism. Why would the Today show promote diets for pregnant women? You should be promoting women who listen to their bodies and eat what their baby craves. One of the biggest issues we have is denying women the food they need while pregnant. For God's sake! There are some things that our society needs to relax on and just let people be happy. No more reporting standards that are unachievable. I am over your social issues reporting that do not benefit anyone and set up unrealistic ideals. I will turn over to another channel when it comes on and I refuse to support things like this.
bec riley - Unless she's battled sickness, chronic fatigue, crippling sciatica and a toddler to run after I couldn't give 2 rats about her advice! Just makes the rest of us 99% of pregnancies look ashamed when it's a time we should b given a damn body image break! I'm a nutritionist and with pregnancy I put on a ton of weight... I'm here to say ITS OK!!!! Do the best you can with the situation you have!
angie pearson - Great someone to make me feel guilty about the weight I've gained while I'm pregnant... After vomiting all day I'll eat whatever the hell I want.
amanda lee boyce - Just another story for women to hate on other women... Every pregnancy is different, take the 'advice' this lady has to say with a grain of salt. The best thing for you and your baby is to listen to your body..
nick kristine vaalepu - OMG GET OVER IT!!! every woman is different how each woman chooses to embrace being pregnant is totally up too them!! Wether they gain 10 kilos or not wether they eat a house full of food or not!! Enjoy it the blessing you receive at the end outweighs what you may go through during pregnancy!!!! It's stupid stories like this that make pregnant women feel insecure and feel the need to be a certain weight whilst pregnant!!!! Guess it's sunrise for me tomorrow morning!!!!YOLO!!!!!!
debrah russell sahami - These stories create more problems, havent you 'today show' been down this path before? ...This is not newsworthy of a headline. Stop it & leave women alone to enjoy & embrace their bodily changes. Pregnancy is a blessing it's not a body shape competition. Stop making it into one. Babies are miracles 💕
laura parsons - I am a fit girl who always eats healthy...then I fell pregnant and wow did I get a shock!!!! My body literally HATES steamed veggies and most of the diet I used to eat. I was so strict but now I listen to my body and give it what it wants. I don't eat junk and rubbish but I eat what it needs. It's all good to GIVE advice but until you are actually pregnant you have no idea how it affects your body. Everyone is so different so listen to your own body I say
ray findlay - I think this goes to more than the pregnant woman's health, maybe the babies health is important too!
Haha, a bloody mans opinion, just what you need!
I am the father of 7 very healthy children & been there every step of the way from conception right through each stage. & been there for every birth.
Including the growing up of each baby to their own adulthood .
millie hape - What happened to being happy?? So much judgement these days it's so not cool!! Happy healthy babies is what it's all about not how skinny you can stay while life is growing inside of you!! There are women out there who can't have babies n would love to eat weird food n gain weight!!
georgie pirie - Eat what you like. Growing elbows and eyelashes requires fat and calories!!
bec riley - If only it were as simple as a choice of healthy eating and low weight gain vs unhealthy eating and large weight gain and GD LOL! It really is rocket science when it comes to every individual's body reactions to hormones and pregnancy symptoms. U can just as easily b healthy n piling on the weight as unhealthy and skinny!
bernadette saberton - Talk about judging!!! No one's even seen the story yet!!! The poor girl is probably thinking about whats best for her baby and thats whats important!!!! Everyone gets so offended by healthy looking bodies!!!! At least she's not supermodel skinny!!!! Shes healthy and beautiful and carrying a miracle!!!
billie buckley - Lol you're all stringing this woman up before you've even listened to what she has to say!? MAYBE all she's going to do is draw attention to the idea that there are healthier options to satiate pregnancy cravings than Ben N Jerry's. MAYBE she's going to remind women that it's not healthy for *anyone* to avoid exercise, even if you're pregnant. Obviously there are always exceptions but Jesus, you don't all need to think she's speaking specifically about *your* pregnancy and get insulted if you're the exception.
christy boyle - This topic pisses me off truly everyone has a bloody opinion on what other people's pregnancy should be like get over it I will not be waiting this rubbish
lindy wheeler - I had twins second time around, you BET your bottom dollar I enjoyed EVERY moment of every craving and every ounce of weight I put on as long as my babies were healthy and guess what? They WERE! I am fit and healthy 9 years later, I didn't need to be super fit to have my boys I just needed to slow down and enjoy the flow of being pregnant.........SO much out there on losing weight or not putting weight on NO real emphasis on just eating healthy, no smoking or drinking and ENJOYING the beautiful life you are creating............SO SAD.............
krystal love - Ohh god your pregnant eat what the baby wants who cares about the weight!!!! As long as that baby is healthy!
stacy frogley - It's not hard - give in to temptation sometimes and make sure you eat a little bit more each day, and exercise gently daily. That's it! Not rocket science!
sarah hansen - That must be nice for her. I had PSD from 14 weeks and was in constant pain by 30 weeks. By 40 weeks I couldn't walk from one end of the house to the other let alone exercise. I've now got a 14 month old who doesn't sleep (and therefore neither doi) and has all the health professionals stumped. Weight gain has been the least of my worries.
- WEDNESDAY: Are elderly drivers safe?
It’s a miracle no one was killed after a 90-year-old d (Type: photo | Published: 2014-02-04T09:00:01+0000)
TODAY: WEDNESDAY: Are elderly drivers safe? It’s a miracle no one was killed after a 90-year-old driver ended up on the sand at Sydney’s Bondi Beach. We’ll be discussing with the experts from 7.00am #today9Comments:
lisa morti - I'd rather share the road with a 90 year old rather than a P plater
kelley pritchard - I think it would be a great idea to give the elderly free fares on ALL public transportation. They still have to get places. We need to look after our elderly :)
kayla richards - Funny how when young drivers are being targeted in stories like this everyone jumps on the band wagon... Now that older drivers are being targeted though, all the old people are getting their knickers in a knot!
I think old people are much WORSE and when I've been overtaken by a hoon or witnessed idiotic behavior and just plain bad driving, older drivers are the culprits 90% of the time!
Older people are just as arrogant as young people, adopting the attitude 'I've been driving for years so I know everything'.
lee mason - Always leave something out, the poor person blacked out at the wheel, that can happen to absolutely anyone! Go find actual news to report!
sharon gowen - Regions, country areas often don't have effective public transport...cant expect elderly to catch school buses,...need to boost public transport in country areas, they need their mobility
natalie henderson - I work for insurance I see it everyday and elderly need to give up their license or at least re do their test at say 65 they are in corehent at times and can be very confused it's very scary to think they are behind a motor vehicle !! Yes younger driver are bad but also the very elderly who might I add never check their mirrors I've nearly had near misses in roundabouts because they don't check at all , their own body motor skills are not as quick as when being young they should be made to have S plate for senior and blacking out is a concern what medications are they on ??? Elderly should be checked for their license they are slow when going on 110ks highway and they do 60 doing below the speed limit is also very dangerous yes I will get this way when I get old also and will be stubborn lol but something needs to be done !!!!
jennifer townend - 90 year old people should not be driving. I'm 65 next week and I intend to only drive for the next ten years and then I'll be surrendering my rights to drive. I honestly believe reflexes and normal ageing make elderly people a definite risk on the road.
sammie seigel - Yet you forget to mention that the elderly man had blacked out and doing so had caused this accident.
tonia rose - No
But the country needs a bus service dedicated just to the elderly allowing them to still be able to get around !!
shelley mcguigan - I think 90 is too old to drive! How about the government provides free transport for the elderly as they still crave their independence.
shannon white - an 80 something year old ran a red light and hit my fiancé and i , corssed 6 lanes and hit another car driving in another direction...that cemented my opinion! they need to give up their licences, no doubt, they are more dangerous then p platers, as they have slow reaction times, declining hearing and vision, and they have medical issues that cause accidents, like falling asleep at the wheel (not because of tiredness but a medical ailment )
kirk forster - show some respect some of you this is sombodys grandparent. you wouldnt be so disrespectful if it was your own family
enid bulman - Apparently this one wasn't :( Agree with the comments about free public transport like they have in Ireland - they should also get some taxi vouchers for when public transport doesn't work for them.
km luh - I think it depends on each individual driver no matter what age or race or whatever.
cathy ackroyd - The question shouldn't be just about elderly drivers. There are so many idiots on the roads these days. Sometimes it feels like Russian roulette on the roads as to whether you are going to be a victim on the road because of someone else's stupidity.
justine sherwood - Aside from this unfortunate incident, I believe everyone should be re-tested for understanding of road rules every 5 years or so. So many people forget even the most basic rules; how to indicate in a roundabout, keep left unless overtaking. Not to mention when new road signs are developed. .
julie mansini - Don't think it is at all sensible for a 90 year old to be driving. My FIL has early Alzheimer's the doctor approved his license renewal. He would ring us when he had driven somewhere and didn't know where he was or how to get home. He is almost 91 now and this was 6 months ago. It was an agonizing time for us.
dennai mcclurg - No! Def not. They lose all reflexes and are delayed. I have experienced this first hand with a 93yr old neighbour who got her accelerator and brake mixed up and ended up in our front yard, smashing my car parked in the driveway and part of the garage. Just lucky no one got hurt!!
simone richardson - It depends on the individual. I know plenty of people over 60 who drive and are very safe and capable drivers.
toni o'grady - By reading these comments I can tell who are on 'P's or just off them & who is in their mid 40s to 60s. Over 60s have less acidents and fatalities then the younger ones. What happened here is a minority. How many accidents do you hear a year compared to P platers killing themselves and their mates?
beverley johnson - This is one instance an elderly person had an accident, but I don't hear anything about the young who kill themselves every week, you are bias, today.
