- SHOPAHOLIC SOLUTION
Imagine using a handbag that alerts you when you enter a shopping 'danger (Type: photo | Published: 2014-01-29T20:45:28+0000)
TODAY: SHOPAHOLIC SOLUTION Imagine using a handbag that alerts you when you enter a shopping 'danger zone'… it could stop you spending too much and curbs your credit card debt. One of the features will send a text to someone you nominate as 'your responsible other' telling them you may be overspending. TELL TODAY – Good idea? #ibag #shopaholic #today9Comments:
carolyn lack - How about " grow some own responsibility".
faith gray - Wow, looks like it's yet another app to take away personal responsibility. I'm also somewhat concerned about how the app could be adapted and used to track a spouse, in the case of domestic violence, stalking, etc.
peta joanne street - Here's a solution... IF YA DON'T HAVE THE BLOODY MONEY... DON'T SPEND IT YOU SHALLOW, MATERIALISTIC, CONSUMERISTIC LEMMINGS!!!
mel davies - When are WE going to be responsible for our own actions. It's becoming a bloody Joke!
georgina whitleyames - They should implement this for someone who gambles!
duane ferguson - On the one hand, we have a story about a school principle displaying uncommon common sense, and his students reaping the rewards, and on the other hand we have this - an app that allows your phone to take responsibility for managing you behaviour.
annika wright - If you need this handbag there is definitely something wrong with you. It's called self control. If you don't have money in your wallet for random stuff just don't buy it. It's exactly why things like laybuy was invented.
gordon sullivan - Want to cut down on credit card debt? DONT get a credit card!
steve botham - What I haven't heard mentioned is how much the bag costs in the first place. . Catch 22
amanda starkey - Lmfao that blonde woman saying Wagga Wagga is alright, obviously she hasn't been here for a while, I could take a pic from my front door and all ull see is junkies!! Ppl like me are trying to get away somewhere safer for our children, u need to do some research
kotoni bara - I can see it being abused by controlling partners to keep track of their partners spending habits.
amanda bennett - Kellie Hall perhaps we need this function on our phones u can be alerted when I'm shopping & if my card is declined u can come & prise me out of the foetal position?
kim warren-evans - How about an App, to show some people about manners and morals................App for shopping control, bloody unreal
jayne johnston - If you can't afford to pay it back, don't have it! We don't have credit cards, have 3 kids, both work and are doing fine!
michael john renton - Or notify you of nearby sales.
peter campbell - what a load of rubbish, technology is going overboard
heidi davis - How about a lil self control
michelle ksenic - Brittny Ksenic is this a sign ? Lol
neville nuk nuknuk - these are a great idea for idiots to use
jaime leigh nelson - Chloe Taylor Rachael Walters 😂
myles banner - That's hilarious.

A primary school principal from New Zealand has thrown out the rulebook an (Type: photo | Published: 2014-01-29T19:53:24+0000)
TODAY: NO RULES, MORE PLAY A primary school principal from New Zealand has thrown out the rulebook and is instead letting children roam free in the playground. Kids are allowed to climb trees and can even ride their bikes and skateboards. It sounds like chaos, but the school is functioning better than ever before. There’s less bullying and concentration in classrooms has increased. TELL TODAY – What do you think of throwing out the rulebook? #rules #playground #kids #today9Comments:
louise barwin - Good for him ..... a Principal that obviously has kids needs first - awesome!!
lisa burley - Fabulous
Schools have gone too far and kids can't be kids
rhys hiscox - I'd rather my kids hurt "by" amusement than being hurt "for" amusement.
Love the idea.. :))
karen fitzpatrick - AAAHHHH the good old days when kids were kids and a scuffed knee was worn like a badge of honour....Well done NZ, again leading the world in forward thinking!!
amanda guilfoyle - Maybe they should have regular schools for those who want their kids to be kids and cotton wool schools for the pussy parents
bobby jean williams - Great kids don't need rules they need guidance.
donna lea white - Schools could be schools, if all you parents out there didn't run into the school with every little problem, like my child fell scratched himself, why weren't you watching him,,,blah blah blah, etc etc etc the good old days won't come back until the good old fashioned parenting comes back
nikki reedie - I'd be happy to relax rules at my school, but I'd also have to dedicate half my day to parent complaints. Schools don't do these things to stop kids having fun, parents need to loosen up and let kids be kids. Everyone supports this until it's their child who gets hurt.
debbie ann hinga - I'm a parent of a 7yr old, i wish he could do this, just like i used to, there was no bullying because our imaginations were allowed to be free to invent games etc.
see the kids nowadays, limited imagination and play > they get hurt and become the biggest drama queens about it > they sit inside playing games cos they don't know how to do anything unless it's been put in front of them.
Let them get hurt it teaches that life is full of hurdles and learn not to repeat the same mistakes
Let them hug it teaches kindness
Let them climb, it's how they explore
What a great idea this principal has :)
belinda tews - Omfg! What is wrong with some of you people?!? My siblings and i grew up climbing trees and god knows what else in the school ground! Nothing serious ever bloody happened to us! Its a known fact that kids need to burn off energy other wise they get bored and become disruptive. And to all those parents out there who would even consider suing a school cos their kid came home with some scratches or even a broken limb, you are pathetic and need to pop the bubble you put your kids in! Let them live a little for god sake!! And yes, i did break my arm at school, but guess what, my parents didn't sue the school as it was an accident, and guess what, accidents happen! Go back to letting kids be kids ffs
bonnie mallett - What? These kids are able to play like kids should? Surely this is a joke!
jane edwards - Ditch the lawyers, the oh&s buffoons, the litigious parents who see a dollar in anything and allow kids to play. Children do not develop a fully functioning frontal lobe unless the are able to take risks and learn from mistakes. Perhaps some of the issues we are having with violence among our young men may have been alleviated if there weren't so many rules in their playgrounds?
lisa rasmussen - My son got suspended for 2 days for climbing a tree. So my husband told the principal 'I will take him home to practice on our tree to be quicker'
Let kids be kids, but you do need some boundaries.
deidre warburton curry - Think it's a great idea, too many kids a wrapped in cotton wool and aren't allowed to just be kids.
shona johnston - A couple of years ago - I was in the Doctors Surgery with three elderly people in their 80's reminiscing about what they used to do when they were young. All under 10 at the time they were in charge of the younger ones in the family - Each morning they all had chores to do - help milk the cow/s, and tend to other animals, prepare breakfast for the family, clean the house, yard etc and then when all that was completed the day was theirs. They were allowed to go down to the river with the smaller children and swim all day if they wanted, run up the hills and roll down, climb trees, hunt, fish, eeling, meet up with friends/cousins - there was no time to the day and they knew as the late afternoon arrived it was time to meander on home as dinner would be waiting. Children naturally learnt skills on how to stay safe, care and protect one other, respect for the environment as well as themselves and those that were in their care - the key principals of life. They spoke of the fun and laughter the pranks and the accidents....not having any money but there was always love. And then one of them said "oh are they allowed to climb trees today..." That was the end of the laughter and conversation as we sat there looking at each other and reading our "Life magazines..." So cheers to the principal who has thrown out the rules book. Children need to feel the freedom of play, laughter, fun AND how to be creative.
jolene m hansford - Bring it to Australia
kelly austin - The fact that some comment about sueing is what's wrong with society these days :-/ I say let kids be kids.. Awesome idea..
nicky rough - I was horrified to learn a few years back that kids were no longer allowed to play bullrush or even have lolly scrambles, two of my favorite things to do as a kid! I am glad someone finally is taking a stand against the extreme PC culture around at the moment!! We were all allowed to do it and we have turned out fine! I want my children to have the same experiences that I did, not be wrapped in cotton wool and be able to just be kids!!
robyn timm - Funny thing is all the games that are banned now are the very same games we played as children, we climbed trees, play red rover & if we fall over we went & saw the school nurse who after cleaning us up sent us back out to play. It didn't kill us & it won't kill our kids either.
kirsten bailey - It's not because of teachers and principals that schools have so many rules. It's due to parents who complain and sue.
jules bailey - Finally children actually being children WELL DONE TO THIS PRINCIPLE

alaistair saunders - Karl I don't blame you, good clean fun certainly worth laughing at the little slip,
melissa lee was mccarthy - Oh wow Tracey! Australian's are known for taking the piss out of each other and having a laugh. Lighten up. Seriously if you didn't smile or chuckle at that you need a counselling session
jenny sheppard - Hilarious or not, Karl is getting to be very childish most days, I don't know why they don't fire him.
li tal wang - Karl for Australian of the year 2015
cathy simmons - Karl made it to immature news, not you Deb, you're too classy for that, he needs to monitor his responses a little better on national television!
grant colledge - Luv how Karl stays loose and other hosts are full of their own ego, onya Karl - Queeeeeeeenslanderrrrr 👍
francina kwiecien - Thank goodness we have REAL anchor people in Australia with a sense of humour we can all relate to.
hayley tapscott - This is why today is better then sunrise Kaitlin Oxley

One couple who have been married for a year and a half have spoken out sayi (Type: photo | Published: 2014-01-28T20:51:47+0000)
TODAY: MARRIAGE DEBATE
One couple who have been married for a year and a half have spoken out saying their separate sleeping spaces have brought them closer together.
A marriage and family therapist in the US says more than half of all married couples sleep separately.
TELL TODAY - Can sleeping separately save your relationship?
#sleep #relationships #today9Comments:
tristan hamson - What more needs to be said......
jane costa newton - Different houses works really well for me too ...
amy kelly - Debates like this are all a bit silly, no one knows what works best for any other couple. All of those people saying it leads to divorce and getting on their high horse about 'why get married' need to mind their own business and realise that not everyone does things the way you do. Your way is not perfect, you are not perfect, stop preaching at people like you are better than them. It's condescending and rude.
bernadette curtis - My husband would hate it, he hates it when I go away, he can't sleep properly when I'm not next to him.... Rather sweet, been married 27years !
diane maree young - we have slept in seperate rooms for years. Shift work, kids and a snoring husband! I LOVE my sanctuary! Go have sex in the kitchen people! lol
mardi proctor - I can't sleep if hubby not beside me....
joy earle-quick - For fifty years we have slept in the same bed, I would not like to be alone and neither would he, we share the good with the bad, snoring, can't sleep etc., that's what it all about sharing I think, works for us.
christine cairns - snoring, sweating, tossing and turning extra trips to the toilet the list goes on, you young ones will get it one day, you will beg for your own bed, doesnt mean you dont love each other just means you respect the fact that the other doesnt need to be woken up constantly..
sofie papasifakis - Separate beds, separate bank accounts, separate friends... what's the point in being married then?
sharon green - Each to their own! My husband and I have been married 34 years and neither of us can sleep if we aren't in the same bed! When I go to visit our kids by myself, we end up calling each other in the middle of the night because we both can't sleep! When I'm having a restless night I usually get up so I don't disturb his sleep, but he'll wake within 15 minutes because I'm no longer in the bed and I do the same when he gets up! Couldn't imagine sleeping in separate beds! We'd hate it! Love knowing he's there next to me!
steve brown - I'm a night worker, so sleeping alone is sorta on the cards for me, we have 2 lil girls aged 2-3 I may be able to get a few hours with the Missis before the kids get up at 6-630, and sometimes it's hard I love being able to roll over and know she is right there and pull her nice and close so she can hear my heart beat on my chest nothing can beat that feeling of utta bliss and heaven!!!
Rennay I love you with all my heart xoxo
victor nicholas muñoz - And here I spend lonely nights wishing to sleep next to someone to hold!
amanda denny - King size bed all the way!!!
valerie ritchie - Married 33 yrs, separate bedrooms 15 yrs and still very much in love.
adam price - No fun playing Dutch ovens on your own.
nunesfamily bellmere - Really? Sleeping habits are what can make a marriage miserable? Have been married for 22 years, bigger and better things people - I suppose we do live in an era of over-analyzing things hey?
mel davies - We have separate rooms.. Have done for many years.. My hubby snores and is a restless sleeper. I would wake up with his feet next to my head. He gets up at 3am to go to work. He goes to bed very early and I'm a night owl. We both get a good night sleep. There is no right or wrong answer. Do what suits your family. Our two kids don't find it to be strange.
robbie wiszniowski - Nope...there is 'space' and then there's 'i wanna be alone' time. Separate beds = Separated ... 1 love, 1 marriage, 1 bed. Sad to hear that people say they are 'happy' yet sleep alone. What happened to cuddles, snuggles, someone to dream with???
mandy ackroyd - Been married for 31yrs love knowing my husband is there right beside me.
corinna ward - That's what King size beds are for!!
sani ng wun - I can't sleep unless my beautiful wife is right there next to me, no matter what, you should put ur differences aside and get over yourself before the sun rises for the next day

TODAY: TODAY'S TOP STORY North Queensland residents are bracing for the arrival of a mega-storm, with a monsoonal low building in intensity off the coast of Cairns. The area has already been hit with heavy rain and strong winds. Forecasters have warned some towns may experience flooding over the next 36 hours. More details throughout the show. #cyclone #Queensland #today9Comments:
richard hayden - It's called sensationalism, anything to make you watch their updates. It's a bloody cyclone we get them every yr or 2, to me hurricane Katrina was a big storm
andrew hunter - How can it be Mega? When Yasi was the largest cyclone to hit the Qld Coast. Anything to make people panic buy stuff.
thomas a joyce - As a Cairns resident, and a former resident of the Solomon Islands, I will not press your mega panic button.
tania mulvaney - Sending out hugs, thoughts & prayers <3
ron nelson - Sensationalists! How is it a mega-storm? Prediction is category 1. Give me a break!
marcella larizza - God please look over and protect the people of QLD during the storm. Amen
sarah kuno - I wouldn't in Any way call it Mega, it's only a Cat 1. Not wise to try freaking ppl out! I'm in Townsville and as long as your prepared there is nothing to worry about!
elliot smith - Save the banannas
jason malthouse - My Pregnant wife farts harder then this😏
sarah stevens - mega ohh for real? no it's going to be a cat one should you be complacent? no but you shouldn't hype it up either. But this cyclone certainly is taking after my stepbrother (who is a Dylan) whole lotta drama for *probably* a whole lotta nothin (Dyl if you see this you know that is meant with every best intention <3)
brett berg - Send some of that rain down south
grant colledge - A mate in Townsville calls anything less than Yasi " a bit of piss and wind." They're tough up there, they will crack another beer and watch it unfold, without the bullshit hype the media try and drum up
dallace menchin - Take Care. And stay safe.
graham martin - everyone is going about their normal lives and just keeping an eye on the weather. It's the stupid fucking NEWS people that are making all the hype. You notice most of the CRAP comes from Sydney or Melbourne TV. They are a bunch of Morons!!!!!!
paul pud nebauer - What's the go with the sensationalism? "mega storm"? It's a tropical cyclone. Call it such and what category it is. Geez.
jaz glohe - Be safe Mitch N Penny
jessie day - I have told her but I'll be shocked if she has! Hahahaha
tina tsi - Trif & Juanita lucky we are not there !!!
taylor pinfold - Nothing much to worry about just yet Elise, still sunny and blue sky's. Tomorrow will be a different story though :)
raymond goggi - Just another day in paradise. Standard north Queensland weather.
lisa carman - Stay safe James Stork Kelly Stork xx

As any woman will tell you… a good pair of heels can take any outfit to dizz (Type: photo | Published: 2014-01-28T06:50:01+0000)
TODAY: KILLER HEELS
As any woman will tell you… a good pair of heels can take any outfit to dizzying new heights.
But, as Emma Freedman has discovered... Some experts think they should come with a health warning.
#heels #killer #warning #today9Comments:
cathy myors - If you need a warning high heels are bad for your feet......you also need to be told constantly putting a fork into a power point isn't intelligent either. Come on ladies - look at the bloody things. I have no sympathy for anyone who regrets and maims, cuts or deforms themselves in the name of bloody "fashion".
joanie somerville - Gordana Duic for a beautiful so called "Lady" you have a pretty nasty stuck up attitude. You must not be a very happy individual if you are having to stoop so low with those mundane remarks. Every woman is beautiful in her own way. Feet and all. Be a real woman and show some respect.
nina lawton - Wait till your older!
diane billington - I am 49 years old and have worn stilettos since I was 16. I have no feet or posture problems and not once have I hurt myself wearing them. Nothing to do with fashion and everything to do with wearing what I like. Besides if we didn't wear, eat or drink everything we were told was bad for us this would be a really bloody boring life.
mel chapman - I cant wear them I never have. I have bad ankles and flat feet even normal shoes hurt my feet after a while. i seriously dont know how you ladies walk around in those dredded things.
dave toohey - If a woman feels beautiful, she has self confidence & is happy in her skin, more power to her. High heels or flats, make up or no make up, dress or jeans doesn't change who she is. Beautiful! ;)
diane searston - Us short people Emma need all the help we can get.lol
vanessa skipworth - Bitches be like!!!!!!!! Bahaha. Get a life ladies. Bitching about someone else bitching makes you none other than a BITCH yourselves. Grow up or do the world a favor and scone yourself in the head with one of your effing heals!
britt chapman - The classiest ladies wear flats!! :)
peita-lee bate - Hey Gordana my fat foot want to kick your head!!!! Mole u r just plain UGLY!!!
clair galic - Oh for goodness sake!!! Bring real news please! As for the heels! The higher the better! And those green ones are ugly at least you could have used a sexy shoe as an example!!
nina lawton - Most women can't even walk in them yet they think they look good but seriously they look stupid
Gordana Duic I don't have fat feet I'm just older & wiser!
stacey graham - Gordana Duic you stupid mole. How the f dare you assume that everyone who doesn't like to wear high heels has fat feet. You might like to think about the fact that not all women need to be in heels to look beautiful. But you just look like a cheap hooker in your $40 target heels! Get some class grandma!
sandy lambert - Omg! Pet hate? Seeing girls wearing heels they can't walk in! Ewwwww
kelly tincknell ward - They are dangerous even when your not wearing them, I had a fractured foot and was in plaster for 6 weeks due to being stepped on by someone with stilettos :(
renae n luc griffiths - I'm too tall for heals. I look fabulous with out them. Bahahaha
tenelle pattel - They're the fugliest shoes I've ever seen...
marie malcolm - any chiropractor will tell a woman not to wear high heels
krystina worlin-smith - I wore heels forever until I got pregnant with my kids, my feet swelled and couldn't wear them and went to flats..since the flats, can't wear high heels anymore as they absolutely kill my feet and calf muscles so I just wear flats and you can still look good in them even when you go out and I'm not tall lol, give me flats and thongs any day hehehe
phillip davenport - Bloody things ripped all the roof lining in my car.
megan jade lunt - 45 ? I was going to say 60. Was way off

TODAY: BREAKING NEWS: Simon Gittany has been sentenced to 26 years jail after being convicted of murdering his girlfriend Lisa Harnum by throwing her from their 15th-floor balcony. Non-parole period of 18 years. #Gittany #9NewsComments:
alysha mckay - Maybe the newest poor girl he's brainwashed has just been spared her life... Watching her on channel 7 was like watching a marionette puppet every single answer was completely thought thru for what he wanted her to say
God ain't going to save you in there buddy... Enjoy!
jane elliott - I cant stand looking at this guy, hope you make someone a nice girlfriend in goal.
robyn benson - Why is the justice system such a Joke, This girl has been laid to rest for an eternity, Denied the rest of her life by some jealous control freak. Her family and friends have a life sentence of living and going on without her. All Murderers should be given life in jail. With NO PAROLE... Can Lisa come back to life in 18 years... NO.. So Why should he get a second chance at LIFE and FREEDOM !!!!!
paulina sili - is that all? He should have got life with no parole. Sometimes i envy the American justice system.
andrea rice - I did not see the whole story, but was very shocked that the new girlfriend had no reaction at all when shown the photo of Gittany with hand over Lisa's mouth dragging her back to his apartment. ......" she ran away, he was chasing her and forced her back"!!! If a man ever treats you like that, wouldn't you run a mile from that relationship??!!
christine moore - throw him of a balcony and see how he likes itt
zoie zojo anderson - Why parole after 18 years she never gets to come.back it should be 26 years jail no parole actually life he should dye in there
diane anastassi - So he got 26 years. He'll serve the 18 and get out anyway. The Justice system is laughable in this country
ann eva cooling - Finally, a bit of closure for her friends and family members. And a small victory for abused women everywhere.
sue macgregor - Wonder what his current silly bitch gf thinks now..stupid girl
tania venn - Indonesia gave Shapelle 20 years for a bag of dope. Australia gives a man 26 years for murder. It makes you wonder which country has it right..
diana isaac - Our justice system is not tough enough .. Should have gotten life.
jimmy morihovitis - Throw him off a balcony
jan horne - Should have been life without parole!
lucinda moloney - You took a life, you should have gotten a life sentence! you rotten mongrel piece of rubbish!
nick van der peet - He killed someone...He should spend the rest of his life behind bars....
kay goldsmith - That sentence isn't good enough
carl hansen - Hope you get stretched inside prison pretty boy
mona warry - This great stuff he deserved the death sentence actually. As for the new girlfriend total nutter they deserve each other a total waste of oxygen the pair of them I believe she is as guilty as him I believe she set up the first girlfriend so that in the end she would have her man after watching her on channel 7 very cool and calculated in her every word.

TODAY: BREAKING NEWS: Schapelle Corby’s parole has been granted. #Schapelle #9NewsComments:
janine carter - Guilty or innocent she's done more than enough time, especially when murderers in Australia get less and luxury accomadation In prison !!
trudi gloynes-palozzo - She's done her time. People get less for murder!
dale rogers - Finally free.. I'm behind her, she deserves her freedom..ignorant Aussies shame on you all..!!
robert elliott - I have seen inside that HELLHOLE and believe me you have to be strong to survive. She was setup !!! Funny how security tapes at airport went missing plus why werent fingerprints taken off hooch bag..very pleased to hear she will be out on Monday👍👍👍😄
karen shields - A lot of you people are really nasty gee we will never know if she was guilty or not but about time that is way to long to be in that prison for what she did or didn't do bloody murders pedophiles rapists get less than her she has serverd her time hope she is ok & gets to be left alone now & yes this is what we will hear on the news for a few weeks
bella rose - So sad to read the negative comments on this post. I wonder WTF and where is the compassion for a fellow human being? It's quite sickening to me how so many people have no heart!!!
donna burow - Sick of hearing about it!
peter weber - I'm sick of hearing about this criminal.....let's move on
phill glencorse - I can't believe the amount of hatred from some of the comments, I firmly feel that she was a victim of her step-fathers intrastate drug trade. It was just a shame the customs officer in Sydney took a sickie and the boogie board was not intercepted at Sydney airport. She has spent far to long in the Indonesian prison and she will suffer night terrors and flash backs for years to come. I wish her well and hope she gets the support she will need in the future.
raychel pead reiman - If u remember the story she didn't have the pot In her bag in Sydney.. So surprisingly it was put there between Sydney airport n Bali .. Such a corrupt country .. I'm glad she gettin out😀
shelley dutton hinds - Still think her brother set her up!!!
tim ellis - Perfect timing for Channel Nine..... Screening the drama on Monday night. One would almost think it was orchestrated some how....
tamara gray - Good on her next step home. Don't listen to the haters appreciate life and what you have.
toni o'callaghan - don't smuggle drug's and u won't get 10 years..simple.
grant woolnough - She was convicted , she should not make any money out of this ,
ellen hawkey - I care! The poor girl. Wow - guilty or not she has more than served anytime. I feel so sorry for her. I'm sickened by the horrendous comments that have been written. Shame on the lack of compassion and empathy out there!!!
indiana munsel - actually alot of people care :) nobody should be threatened the death sentence for marijuana.. or go through 9 years in a stingy balinese jail!!
wendy cavanough - A lot of people say they don't care but they care enough to type who cares!
margret lewis - omg . I can't believe how judgemental and sanctimonious some people are where is some compassion for a fellow human being .who may be guilty or is not guilty .. ok if she is guilty. shr has paid her dues .in a hell hole ..if she is innocent .. what a terrible ordeal she has been forced to bear .wheres the aussie spirit of support and compassion ..give her a break .i hope she makes money from her ordeal ocent ..wh
angie walters - It's really sad that we only hear about this one in the media. What about all the other Australian prisoners overseas, serving longer sentences for lesser crimes.
Let's now sit back watch the media build it up even more. Flood us with "the true stories" Let's see how much money they all make out of this including Shapelle. Yet back home another soul dies from a drug over dose, a disease, murder, accident or other will we hear of them NO. Will the media give them the same amount of air time NO. let's focus on the important things rather that the money makers.
sharon bischoff - I don't mind her being freed but object strongly to her being able to profit from selling/telling her 'story' because that's all it will be - a story! She chose to do what she did & is no different to the millions of others who've done it but weren't lucky enough to get the attention that she got - over it big time.

TODAY: SPARROW FOLK For all you mums out there who have breastfeed in public – this should be your anthem... Juliet and Catherine from Sparrow-Folk join us now! #sparrowflak #breastfeeding #today9Comments:
margaret inness - It's all very well to tell a breast feeding mother to put a blanket or shawl over a babies head but the baby gets hot then. Have you ever tried having a drink with a blanket or something over your head.
stacey taylor - I love how only breast feeding mothers think they are discriminated against. It can be just as horrible for a bottle feeding mother to get the judgement all stares from people (mostly breast feeding mums!)
kate long - Yes, really. Honestly, you see more boob on a hot day at the local shopping centre than you do when most women are feeding. And let's be clear - I'm feeding a baby, not flashing for your non-enjoyment. If you don't like it, don't look.
mara louise - The WHO recommend breast feeding beyond 12 months old. Just because they are past an infant doesn't make breast milk ineffective. It is LAW that a woman can breastfeed absolutely anywhere she wants to, public or not. As for covering up, it's so hot for baby, also how are you supposed to monitor correct latch, or continue to encourage with a weak or tired bub? And all that missed up close eye contact with bub, what a bonding experience! You eat in public, why can't babies? I find it grosser to see adults talking with food in their mouths or eating with their mouths open.
briohny mc - It's not the 1950's Jenny.
ang maloney - In a world where girls basically dress like prostitutes why is breastfeeding so offensive? I'm offended when i can see a girls bits cause she is wearing a belt instead of a skirt!
kate long - I have dignity and modesty Anne. But I'm not going to stop feeding my baby in public because I don't meet your definition.
laura wade - Well I'm not sure what an 'exorbition ists' is, and not sure how you can compare defecating (unhygienic and expelling waste) to breastfeeding (clean and sterile and eating), and not really sure if comparing a baby feeding to sex is entirely accurate or even appropriate, but gee the posts like this sure do seem to prove how many uneducated sexual deviants there are out there. Because really, the only way you would have a problem with breastfeeding is if you associate it with sexual activity which, if you think about it like that, your sexual 'normal meter' is way off!
madeline grey - Klara, as a midwife, breast feeding past 6 months is very preferable if the mother is willing and able! Why should you be able to eat in public and a baby cannot?
jenny sheppard - I know breast feeding is natural, but so is sex, would you do that in public? For heavens sake have a care for other peoples feelings.
shell ct - The point of the song, what will ring true with most breast feeding mothers, is that we are NOT trying to show you our boobs, nor trying to ruin your day. We are just trying to feed our kids!
As a woman with large breasts, I don't think you can even tell that I am breast feeding in this photo (if it weren't for my post about it of course!)
danielle farrugia - If a woman can Breastfeed it's benefits the baby and helps the mother body. Yes it does help in the bonding process. Mothers are Mindful to others. Others need to be Mindful of them. Parents bottle feeding also should be able to do so where ever too. Sometimes this is expressed. Regardless how a baby is feed be Happy for them the child is loved.
angela vasi - Put a drape over your eyes, cover your head or eat in the toilet so you can't see their tits..... Problem solved.
ellen-marie lloyd - The post is about the song. Clever, witty and fun. Keep your negative comments to yourself. If you don't like breast feeding don't look.
belinda hill - omg@jenny what decade are you living in.there's nothing wrong qith a woman breastfeeding in public its not like they let it all hang out.
emily winley - Hahaha brilliant!!!! Good job ladies!!!!
bronnie stiles - Thank you for getting this song stuck in my head...!! Lol lol it's great...!!
bec bisson - I'm struggling to understand the comments that breastfeeding is a bonding moment between mother N baby, N that it should be done at home.
If that is the case, how do breastfeeding mothers EVER get anything outside of the house done. When a baby is hungry, feeling unwell or in pain they need to nurse. No matter where you are.
I'm breastfeeding my 5 1/2 mth old son N do so on demand, he hates anything over his head when feeding so I no longer use a shawl.
To all the haters, you bitch N complain about baby crying at the cafe ect, ect. But when mum does the most natural thing that she knows how to do to sooth her baby, you give her more grief.
kaya coupe-cross - Stacey Taylor I hope that would be the exception but the rule, Sorry to hear people were cruel.
I did both and the reactions were pretty evenly split both ways.
Love the song. Sex and feeding are about as comparable as urinating and feeding, there is no comparison and you just look ignorant.
leaf branch - Geez the modern world sucks for babies.
joanne fricker - Ladies and Gents - why do people have to find negatives in everything these days... don't hate on this song for being about breast feeding as opposed to bottle feeding, it is certainly not anti bottle feeding (in fact you will see some bottle feeding shots in there). I think it's a fabulous witty and catchy song. If YOU would like to write a song about the plight of bottle feeding Mum's, I am sure Sparrow-Folk would support and appreciate your song. I loved it and thought the ladies were brilliant. (PS I am expecting my first baby and do not know what awaits me in the feeding department... I understand that some people are able to breast feed, others aren't and some make a choice to/not to, it is up to the parents... but one thing is for sure, after watching this clip, my hubby will be more supporting of feeding in public, whether it be from breast or bottle!). Well done ladies!!

TODAY: TOMORROW Major announcement from global superstar Robbie Williams! #RobbieWilliams #exclusive #today9Comments:
emma horbury - If you guys have nothing nice to say, then don't say anything at all. Some of us are massive robbie fans !!

Have to say his gay, does make you feel better!
His happily married and has a baby girl.
gordana miletic - Ummm let me see a tour in oz.
lynda hadley - Emma Horbury he does hold the record for most tickets sold in one day, so who has the lame comment
hazel woodman - To all those saying Robbie is gay- show us your documented proof of that or are u just using your small minded assumption that he's gay because he was in a boyband? NOT all boybands have gay member, I am a HUGE THATTER from the beginning & I will stick up for my UK lads, to those who say he's sad & old, lets see U work as hard as he does & be happy all the time & be working on solo stuff & group stuff with Take That. So many jealous people. So little time to shake the s*** out of them all.
meghan haines - C'mon back to Australia, Robbie!!! Hands down, best entertainer there is, best concert we've ever been to, right Stephanie Haines?!
And to the haters; take your pettiness elsewhere!
rachel carter - Bring on a new Aussie tour, his last one was AMAZING!

Robbie Williams is gay though. Everyone in the industry knows it... I thought it was common knowledge.
adam price - Apology for his previous albums?

TODAY: TONIGHT: Join Peter Overton for a 9 News special – Schapelle: Finally Free. Tune in at 8.40pm on Channel 9. #Schapelle #9NewsComments:
kylie mott brewer - I was disappointed in your station for glorifying this woman. I'd rather be hearing real news on real issues, such as the devastation of bush fires burning terribly across the country or how badly drought is affecting our rural communities. Support the hard working, law abiding citizens of this country and stop giving unnecessary fame and fortune to those who don't deserve it.
In the last few weeks so many farming families have faced devastation and loss of life while suffering the ongoing effects of drought and yet we hear NOTHING on your coverage. Remember that farmers are the sole primary industry in this country, working tirelessly from sun up till long beyond sun down, struggling to overcome the hurdles of Mother Nature in order to provide necessary commodities to our nation and international trade - get behind a good cause and keep it real because without national support our rural communities will face dire consequences in years to come.
The money you wasted on covering this Schapelle story could well have feed many starving cattle, paid to transport water or assist farmers with freight costs for trucking in and purchasing supplement feed.
Shame on you Channell 9, shame on you!!
gaye holmes - Why is this top news when bush fires are destroying homes stock and property! Oh I forgot we prefer to deal with thugs, criminals and drug couriers as opposed to hard working Aussies, cfa heroes and volunteers in the Aussie media
leanne hutton - Dear 'journalists", you completely over estimate our interest in Chapelle Corby's release. Please leave the girl alone and cover some actual news. ta
chel rafter - THIS is real news, happening now....people are evacuating their homes, lives are in danger......emergency services stretched beyond their limits!
mary meyer - The family are laughing their tits off they will make more money out if this than selling their drugs.
melissa floyd - Can someone explain to me how on earth her eyebrows have remained immaculate throughout the ordeal?
mardi proctor - Rather pull my hair out and poke myself in the eye with a fork! No tv or radio all day, not watching some drug smuggler be glorified and treated like a god! Put some real news on!!
jen holt - You're an absolute disgrace nine network and you knobs on the Today show are the worst. You couldn't give a rats ass about anything or anyone. How Do you sleep at night ?? You do know a 14 year old got packed raped ?? Oh and there's the small issue of fires burning half of Victoria. And in case you've been living under some Balinese rock , Daniel Morecombes murderer's trial is starting !! Or don't these things matter as you're clearly smarter than the general public and know what we want better than we do!! You are all low life pieces of crap and is rather stab myself in the nipple with an acid covered fork before I watch anything on your network ever again. Sorry Block but you've lost my household because your station SUCKS!!!!
sharon johnstone ireland - Thank god the Winter Olympics are on...
My time is given to Aussies to be proud of.
susan lawson - SOOOOOOOOOOOO SICK of hearing about this female, she should have stayed in jail and served the full sentence far as im concerned, she got time out to shop and visit her sister and lots of other priveledges, and NOW we hear shes getting 2 to 3 million $ for her interviews are you kidding me .... she had it a lot better than many drug smugglers got in other countries, like being hung or shot for petes sake enough i dont want to hear anymore ... she should not be allowed to profit from crimes ... one thing is for sure i wont be watching her stupid interview.
megan e. jones - Hope 7 still has MKR on tight
jennifer rezmann - Id rather watch cement set. Not watchin ch9.
martin muscat - who said crime doesn,t pay. where were you yesterday while the peacful demostration at the steps of parliament was going on supporting and to protect children from pedophiles .there is only one true journalist in town, and he is in jail happy birthday Darryn Hinch
margie mcanalley - Oh for gods sake have a heart ppl, 91/2 years in a filthy Bali jail is enough time served for that crime. This is a news story like it or not.
jessie mac - who cares she a convicted drug smuggler she should been left to rot in jail
angela mclennan - Already so over it! Not interested in her release . Sick is Schappelle Corby and her drug smuggling family!!
sherry bullen - DO YOU NOT HAVE ANYTHING BETTER TO REPORT ON
WHO CARES ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!!👎👎👎👎
tracey watson - Can't believe the Today show sent Karl to cover the story. Seriously, need to cover something a bit more newsworthy than a convicted drug trafficker getting out on parole.
rosalba mazzocco - I am so sick and tired of seeing and hearing about Schapelle, please will all you TV shows give it a rest. There are more important things going on in this world than Schapelle.
gowri gilbertson - Who cares? I think the media are more in love with this story than the australian public!
margie mcanalley - I still believe it was the baggage handlers, slips through 2 Australian airports without being detected..,whatever!!!!!!
