Being Conservative: Do you want you your internet to cost even more? Help Protect The Internet From Government Greed! Sign the petition and keep the internet tax free!Comments:
jerald jennings - Keep the government's greedy hands off the internet!
ken palmer - I think this little display is misleading. It says all the right things but points to the wrong culprit. It isn't government greed this time but corporate greed. I'm all for corporate greed as long as there is competition. There just simply isn't. For example, for broadband internet I have the choice of AT&T DSL or nothing. No choice whatsoever. Most of you will have a choice of your one former phone company and your one cable company and that is it. Unless you have at least four choices you simply can't have real competition. Until you have real competition you can't just let them have at it.
cj kelley - You are all aware this is essentially the govt taking control of the industry right? With net neutrality it doesnt matter how much a company has invested in their hardware, dial up or fiber optic is irrelevant, it doesnt matter which companies are better run or incompetent, they will all have to charge the same prices. There is no longer an incentive to develop new, faster technology with net neutrality, since they will have to charge the same prices, they will use cheaper current technology instead of pushing the boundaries. The real issue with telecom is not tiered pricing (thats actually the best thing about them) its the last mile issue. There is less competition at a consumer level because the company that managed to run his cable line to you first has a massive advantage in competition, which is a start up barrier. But do you know what is eventually (and already is) going to defeat that? Wireless providers. But if you keep this net neutrality nonesense going, there will be no point for companies to invest in a wireless infrastructure if they arent able to make a profit off of it. Noone will buy it if it offers the same service at the same price as what they already have.
The fact that none of you can see this as the government controlling a market is very very worrisome for a page that calls itself Conservative.
derek smith - Net Neutrality is NOT a good thing. Keep the government out of it. They have NO right to regulate what Providers can do with their connections. If providers want to throttle you streaming your torrents, they have EVERY right to, and it's not the Governments "bid-ness" to say anything about it.
robert bales - WRONG! BAD PAGE!
Net Neutrality is a good thing you bleeding morons....
Not to mention our internet companies are the problem. We pay more for internet than the rest of the developed world, and we get slower speeds.
lynn luxton - The gov't needs to upgrade the computers in Wash. D.C. don't worry about mine! Just let your rep know - email them or call or write - don't gov't interference.
anthony kress - I agree with Kevin. This is a very misleading site
kevin mccondichie - Obama supports Net Neutrality, and so do many Dems and Reps. I know Ted Cruz doesn't support it, but not aware of any other big names against it. Also net neutrality isn't about stopping the government from taxing it! Net neutrality means more government control. It is the government going to internet providers and saying "All Data is created equal. You cannot charge more for some." Taking away Net Neutrality would mean less government control and more private company control. This page is so misleading sometimes, it is pretty sad.
ray barden - The same people that spent a gazillion of our tax dollars on a website that still, after three years, doesn't work properly, want to be in charge of the internet. Only a freaking moron would think that idea makes any sense at all. I guess that means every liberal Democrat will be behind the idea 100%...
nancy terry - That old southern saying , if it ain't broke don't fix it .
brandon rdzak - You misspelled "corporate greed".
pam shultz-kovalewski - They don't own it, they shouldn't regulated, or have anything to say about it. Why in the hell should I pay the government something that they don't own
timothy crump - If it costs, I'm gone....did without it for most of my life....
kenneth depriest - Leave the internet alone. supply and demand will take care of it.
thomas maher - "If you like your [internet freedom], you can keep your [internet freedom]" That's about as much as I trust him on this.
donna duncan-mccormack - Obama is a TYRANT!!!! Just another Hitler in the making!
stephen klem - Consider me signed up OPPOSING any government controls.
crystal smith - That's nice how Cj took the time to explain that. So I take it if some regulators don't make ISPs stop backing off of slow streaming large bandwidth users or making them pay more and the ISPS feel they are loosing profits if they don't because they can't get but x amount of dollars per website and have only x amount of bandwidth then in order to make the profits they want they will need to keep raising prices to the consumer. In that case, perhaps there will be a need of more ISPs with as you said, different packages depending on what the consumer likes. If they do make them back off of charging, ex., Netflix more or give them smaller space and the same price, and Netflix can make profits as they like (and we don't know their bottom line) but the ISPs don't make such a good profit then it carries over to the consumer. It seems to me that in all cases the price will trickle to the end user, but that sense the ISPs have the goods they all need they do have the last say so and since they'd rather not have anymore competitors in the making they would make sure that they could continue making their profits by not being regulated and making a smaller chance of up and coming competition. If they do get regulated then Netflix either finds investors and makes their own internet (as if that were possible) MERGE, which whom they merge with eats them eventually but just uses their name and does what they want with their contents. No problem, huh?
david mckain - Remember Hitler he is alive and well better wake up America
crystal smith - Ok Trevor, I'll look into it more. I've had no problems thus far and if it really is that then so be it, but by golly when they insert the kill switch just Because THEY CAN, as IF the government is our daddy and is looking out after us I am finished with it. I'll go back to reading real books and watch old DVDs, listen to more music, clean my house more and lots of things. I already kill too much time with this crap.
arms advocate - They can't build a website for $700 million. Now they are suddenly internet experts?

beverly roche - Should we stop lying about our agenda on my Facebook feed? The clean water act was signed by Nixon. Environmental issues are republican issues too. I like clean air. Screw you and your lies, Being Conservative. I'm environmentally conservative, the real kind of conservation.
edward schwering - Should multinational corporations be allowed to pollute your children's drinking water and air?
Bureaucrats no, scientists setting levels that are at least marginally safe for our children, yes.
heidi hesse - Hell yes! These backwards politicians in the pockets of coal dont care how much of our air and water are polluted & certainly are not self regulating. This page is an insult to the people & is nothing but a front for industrialist shareholders who stand to profit from the posioning of our people & land.
edward rock - So you want to screw the environment, right. I can't believe people can be this selfish! #being conservative = being selfish
bill walsh - Really, why would we need the Environmental Protection Agency for anything. Lets just frack and drill our way into worse drinking water and unbreathable air.
matthew stewart - Yes. The EPA is the only reason we can still breath the air!
bobbie derusha - No, They are trying to force us into green energy which we are already supporting because it is not self-supporting. We don't need alternative energy.
sean milligan - Repackaged dog poop is still dog poop. This is the third pathetic attempt to get us to vote against our own self interest. Poison all the fish and air in the state even more, or let the power company raise your rates? I'll take higher rates please. They would be more affordable if wages hadn't been stagnant for 30 years, and our ever wise and forward thinking state government hadn't just scrapped a conservation program that helped us save millions, but these fools think we'll be afraid of losing money due to pollution controls. Its still not working, being conservative. You are polishing ideological turds, but we're still not eating them...
dan brown - No cause it'll rape the little guy. Not the rich aholes running things. Maybe they should tax AL gores house he uses more power than 5 households for a year.
rodger mcbride sr - NO, we have enough regulations, keep the EPA out of Indiana. Burn more coal we have enough for 100s of years.
ben newburn - YES! Indiana needs cleaned up. They need to declare the Statehouse a Superfund site as well! That place is incredibly polluted.
bonnie holle - Yes!!! If you care about our earth and the futures of you families you would do what ever you can to reduce pollution. We need to step to the future with renewable energy! Creates more jobs and lowering our pollution levels will also save billions in health issues relating to pollution. Indiana is #6 in most polluted states! Do your research! Support the EPA!
diana balasa - No, because they are regulating us right out of our freedoms.
andra sudler - It is for sure the state isn't doing anything to regulate pollution, etc
shelby watkins - Yes because it would be nice if our children can breathe 10 years from now
pamela altmeyer alvey - Yes. Indiana lawmakers don't seem to have the sense to protect our air, water and soil...not to mention our lungs...so EPA regulation is necessary!
ron murphy - There now is clean coal technology, and plenty more of natural gas than petroleum made gasoline. Why can't there be more hybrid vehicles, electric, and natural gas powered vehicles now? Honda already makes stock natural gas powered vehicles. Who is holding up more of these vehicles from being made and fueling stations for them? I suppose that the international petroleum cartels are doing everything they can to stop competition with cleaner fuels, so that they can monopolize and make ever more billions of $ for their "black gold"!
bill ryan - He'll yes. NWI air is not fit to breathe.
harry osborn - YES - Indiana is perhaps the most polluted state in the country. Our children's health is more important than money for the rich.
curt alan stauffer - The ones we allowed Duke to build that didn't even meet contemporary standards when they were built? Of course. How many of us trust mercury levels in our state's fish as it is? Let's make our fish inedible for our grandkids. How long could THAT take?
rick bowles - I never knew Indiana was such a fruits and nuts state. There is nothing that gets better with government involvement.

Being Conservative: The Nov. 4 election results proved that these words are TRUE! Get the shirt here: http://bit.ly/getthisstraight Well done voters. GOP...don't mess this up!!Comments:
cheryl crawford flowers - Where do I get one of these?
jeffrey mcbreairty - Great words to live by, given to all in the Free nation by the American Veteran. I don't care about the color of your skin, your gender, your politics, or your religion. If you support raising taxes, violating rights, bypassing the Constitution, or disarming people. I WILL RESIST YOU. Obedience is not patriotism, patriotism is love of your country, not your government. And I swore to preserve, protect and defend this country against all enemies foreign and domestic, So Help me GOD and I will until my last breath, because I LOVE MY COUNTRY.
trevor justen - Does this page post news stories anymore or is it content with t-shirt graphics and bullcrap about the EPA?
kevin mccondichie - It didn't really prove i true. Republicans won in places that tend to be republican. Plus, minority and younger voters don't tend to vote in midterms. In addition, looking at the 6th year of a presidency, congress tends to be against it. Look at Clinton and Bush to see the same thing. The results weren't surprising to anybody who knows history and politics. Look out for 2016, however. More democrats will vote then and more republican senate seats will be up
tonya turtzo - Love the shirt. I am republican, catholic and I am not racist. I have a bi-racial grandaughter. Get educated. If it weren't for the republicans, the 1964 civil rights act would not have passed. Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves and he was a republican.
laila gabing koper - Dear Republicans, congratulations on a great night. I feel like I have a voice again . However you must realize that many of the candidates who won ran on CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPLE .This means that you had better STOP AMNESTY and de- fund obama care. If you don't stop this Liberal Socialist President , you will be hearing from me and my fellow conservatives again and again and again. GOD BLESS AMERICA. ( I saw this message in one of the post and will share it over and over )
d.j. nichelson - The republicans candidates may have won but the liberal/socialist ideals won out, what does that tell you? Pot legalization, minimum wage increases, fracking bans, paid sick leave, and anti-choice props were defeated in the red states. What it says to me is the moderates/independents really decided this election not the republicans. I think that bodes well for democrats come 2016 when everyone finally sees what the republicans agenda really is. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. republitards.
randall williams - Does this come in a bumper sticker? Would LOVE one for my truck!
allen brun - God is a God of government for our good. Our government is neither for us or our God. Tell people to get back to and defend our God given constitution.
dave charles - So now that the Republicans have control of both houses of congress when are we going to see Obama impeached?!
denise roe - Love it, I want one.....got one!
patrick gibbons - Here Here, that pretty much sums it up!
jay walker - I do love my country!!! Don't mess with it, the silent majority has been heard. Don't screw it up
rick collins - Love that shirt were can I get one?
tim stebleton - I need an unlimited T-shirt budget.
lisa vargo-correia - Love love love this shirt. The Republican's need to do a better job of communicating this message to the people.
vincent samaha - A country is its government. Without government, you have no country.
michael bernhard - Taxes- pay for all those services you enjoy. WHOSE Rights? Religious fanatics rights or everyone else? Why is it that conservatives and people who vote for conservative politicians never figure out that only supporting the rights of a select group is not a democracy. It is not even close to one. Especially when Most republicans/conservatives are Bible thumpers who only want religious freedoms for their religion and have no concept about which taxes are actually going to be lowered or raised by conservative politicians. Voting ignorantly is not patriotism either.
jorge de diego - Agreed 200 percent
pete an ana roat - So true very well put
eugene allison - Love to have one of those shirts

colby albright - Ted Cruz for Senate Majority Leader!!! Trey Gowdy for Speaker of the House!! And Ben Carson for President!!!
nun ya - Maybe, just maybe, we can get Obama impeached and we won't have to put up with him for another two years!
wanda duff - Maybe America has a chance now.
amy file chandler - Next stop..... the White House!
bev cocker gilbertson - Now get to work and fix it all.
charlie miller - Harry Reid, go away, don't care where you go, just go away!
heather leatherman - Best news in a long time for the USA!!!!
brad lough - Need Donald Trump to give him the bad news
mike cunningham - This is great, but it don't solve our problems. We need to work together and make this One Nation Under God once and for all.
gina hartnett - Way to go America!! Like the saying goes, "If you're not furious, you're not paying attention". Looks like you were Furious and paying Attention America. Raised Right!! Go Republicans! Go America!!
nancy bodden - Suck it Obama! Your hope and change mantra is down the tube. We know what you really meant. You are not going to destroy our country. Republicans do what you promised and bring us back to the great country we are!
angela dulworth burton - Christians taking our country back.
deborah bauer - I could not be happier... unless Obama wants to vacate the White house!!!!
donna leah - Pack your bags Harry, and don't let the door hit you on the ......... Actually, let it hit ya!
rhonda stanley gardner - Hoping Pelosi finds the door as well!!!!!!!
robin chambers - Now do NOT get arrogant figure this out and make it work.
michele fortunato - PRAISE JESUS!!!!!!!!

randy riddle - Its not a war on the environment. Its a war against out of control government. Its American people trying to survive in spite of liberal agenda
randy riddle - Thanks Tad. These folks don't realize how many regs are already in place, how clean coal really is or how many people are driven out of work by liberals. Just go to WV,VA,KY,TN, southern OH,IL or IN and look around
elaine vanmeeveren - I am a staunch right wing conservative & proud of it!!!!!
peter d. miller - More propaganda from Koch Brothers stooges.
We wouldn't have any of these regulations if the industry acted responsibly toward the environment on their own. They don't.
douglas kent steury - Dont forget, pres. Nixon, a republican, created the EPA....back in the day when protecting the environment wasnt political
bob schoolcraft - You don't think they will decrease, you? Lol! As soon as the election is over you can bet gas will go up too.
darrell osborne - isn't this page paid for by the Koch brothers?
brenda mcfadden - What is the alternatives. No want s coal used. Solar panels very ecpensive, made from chemicals. Wind mills not working out. Is raising the rates on our electric bills going to fix the problem ? Throw money at every problem there our hands are clean. We need some common SENSE . EPA needs to be slowed down.
bill westerman - Classic push poll that is both deceptive and non-informational.
patrick carney - Ed;.you leftout that 40 to 50 years ago the air quality was the worst it has ever been. It improved because steps were taken to crack down on pollution. But the job is not complete, and we sure has hell should not go back to those conditions.
edward rock - Being Conservative = Being Selfish. I'm willing to pay more so my grandkids have a planet to live on!
brenda mcfadden - If you have never worked in a coal mine I suppose it is hard to understand. However we have clean coal. My family are KY Coal Miners. The EPA AND. BIG GOVERNMENT HAVE. GONE WILD. The EPA answers to no one.. Obama hates so coal. I wish he would shut the coal fire plant down that provides heat and electricity to the White House and Capital. If you believe it Obama , Live it.
john brooks - This site is put up and maintained by a consortium of Electric Companies and Energy suppliers...do you really thin the info here is factual and unbiased? The party line is : any restraints on the energy industry and YOU ,the consumer, will pay for it...guess what...we're paying for it now. The idea that what we do to the environment has no consequence, therefor , no cost, is a false one. The degradation of air and water cost us millions now and maybe everything in the future. These corporations are reaping record profits...time to put some of that money back into air we all breathe.
tim haynes - Indiana uses 80% coal for their electricity global warming is a lie made up by rich liberals like Al Gore he has made millions off of coal and oil and I know you liberals has changed it to climate change but anybody with half a brain calls it spring summer fall and winter
janis-stephen rettig - Yes. Over 80 percent of Indiana's electricity is produced by coal fired plants. This administration
doesn't offer an immediate alternative, so all the demands they are putting on this form of producing
electricity will just bring higher prices to the people. JANIS
rodger mcbride sr - Some people think that man can destroy something God made, we are only a small speck in this world God is in control. Burn more coal and use what God gave us. This should get a rise out of these Libs.lol
roger baker - Coal fired power plants in the U.S. are some of the cleanest in the world.
The U.S. has the largest coal reserve in the world, stupid not to take advantage of it.
I'll put out the challenge again, show me a smoke stack anywhere in the U.S., power plant or not, that is bellowing out smoke.
Alarmist like to take pictures during cold weather of steam making it look like smoke.
Al Gore in 1978 said we were going to be in a Ice Age within 10yrs. After that didn't happen he changed it to Global Warming, after that didn't happen he changed it to Climate Change. Make up your mind or shut the F... up.
After hurricane Katrina, they said because of Global Warming that that was just the start many catastrophic hurricanes, hasn't been one since.
Weather changes patterns constantly, always has, always will.
keith keller - Have you ever noticed how people say their worried about the world their kids and grandkids are going to live in but then you put a $ sign in front of it their not so worried anymore?
bill warf - no republicans trying to use fear again for their agenda
george cox - Burning things doesn't solve the problem, just shorts power companies.
george cox - Some of you should study some science. The first sign of global warming is erratic weather. Duh

andrea ryland - Really, she had magical powers to freeze the world? This happened to her...magical rock trolls and all? Give me a break!
rick roberts - She should be suing the makers of "Dumb and Dumber ".
julia harlon - Is she going to sue Hans Christian Andersen...because I always thought it was based on his story The Snow Queen
melanie keene gibson - Little Mermaid was based on my life when I lived underwater... IDIOTS!
bernetta fleishell - Cinderella stole my story.
mike erwin - that was an awesome amount of information. I feel i could totally make an informed decision after reading all those facts lol...... not
olivia keating - Sounds like someone wants people to read her autobiography!
amy lafond - The little known Peruvian author filed the claim stating that Disney based the story on her family dynamics, especially her relationship with her sister, which she revealed in her "autobiography". Unfortunately, it appears she never read anything by Hans Christian Andersen or she would have known the origin of the tale. Does "The Snow Queen" ring any bells?
debbie sue - My dad was a drycleaner. I'm suing for rerun rights to the TV show The Jeffersons!
jean kersh kutschied - I guess if people can sue over hot coffee and win every one feels they can sue for anything.
vickie lynn porter - OMG!!!! Well on second thought when I was a little girl I lived with a stepmother and 3 stepsisters they where mean to me etc etc please leave some money so I can sue too!!!! LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!
miguel vasquez - How to train a dragon is my biography because I'm a Viking
kevin massey - I guess she farts rainbows and unicorns too
michelle mccomb - autobiography huh, apparently she has the ability to freeze things and make snow with her hands
susan larsen sappington - and we have another nuisance lawsuit in action....
bill hughes - At least I know now who to blame for that silly song. I hope Isabella is prepared for the lawsuits that will come her way. That song has caused numerous parents stress and they are suffering from PTSD from hearing 6 and 7 year old girls caterwalling that song over and over again. Her story her song :P
jeremy shelby - I grew up in Fairy Tale Land too! Can I sue?
tiffanee wade-henderson - I would like to say I am surprised, but I am not. She will probably be suing McDonald's for its coffee melting her Olaf next.
chris marinell - So she can freeze things when she touches them and create snow monsters?Good luck proving that one in court!
lynn dehay - I am sick and tired of courts allowing such stupid actions! I believe the lawyers filing these cases should be fined big-time. This would also go a long way toward freeing up the courts' calendars!
dan deal - WOW! She had a sister with magic powers who made talking snowmen and conversed with rock trolls!!! How cool!

joe smiddie-brush - I live in Marion county, thus I am an IPL customer. A couple of years ago i chose the 100% renewable energy option. I pay about one dollar more per month for that option. Someone should explain why "your" electric bill will go up by 9% or double. You are getting taken to the cleaners, and it is not by the EPA!
gary davids - Political BS at its finest.
Tell the Kock Brothers to stay out of Indiana.
dick willson - How sad to be a conservative, who would rather trash our planet than spend a few bucks more for electricity.
patrick bennett - Ridiculous. Coal lobbying at its finest. Indiana has some of the dirtiest air in the nation and something has to be done. How regulations governing clean air and water somehow became 'bad' is beyond me and defies all rational sense.
carol jean hyneman - Rates will go up regardless! I prefer to pay a little more and have CLEAN AIR AND WATER! I AM SICK OF THESE "SCARE TACTICS". Coal miners need to be sure they belong to a UNION. their jobs will be around for a long time and the greedy power companies will use "stuff" like this post to try to keep their wages and safety down. WE NEED THE EPA to keep our air and water CLEAN! IF THAT COSTS MORE, SO BE IT!
skip surguine - Has it ever occurred to anyone that power companies use any excuse they can to raise rates? One has to be a real ------ to believe this excrement!
menee banschbach - No petition will help. Whoever was talking about 1% increase and coal miner unions helping I'm totally laughing at your ignorant comments. Thank goodness my husband got hired on at the local gas plant because his coal plant is shutting down in June. Very few people got jobs there compared to the hundreds plus contracting jobs that will be lost and that's one power plant. He worked overtime ... So much overtime last winter. Remember when it was negative 40... That plant isn't going be there to keep your electric on. Better blow hard on those windmills cuz I am sure curious where this power they supplied last year is going to come from. USA coal is already regulated. We won't make a dent compared to china. Cant believe all these big government, in the dark comments. You haven't a clue.
linda blackmer bratton - Koch's propaganda!!!!!!
craig kestle - So we currently have dirty air and water.
hubert glover - This link is bull. Groupstand.org is supposed to be a smartphone petition platform, but the start a petition button doesn't work... and all the petitions are dinosaur right wing issues. This is probably written off tax money from a "non-profit", allowing corporations to dodge taxes and affect politics in one shot.
margie arnold spear - Let's destroy the environment instead
craig hall - Doesn't anybody read up on clean coal technology
gregg schmitz - Rates can't go up without permission from the Indiana Regulatory Commission. This post is nothing more than right wing propaganda. A hoax.
john earl grammer jr. - It is not the EPA it is your Republican controlled energy commission letting the for profit energy companies raise their rates at will. Get your heads out of your butts!
jeff raab - I am amazed how some people believe this crap! Would you rather breathe dirty air and die sooner ! Some people are just clueless!
william kline - I'm sorry but I wouldn't work with nipsco if they gave me free energy
janet dailey - Craig, the libs have already decreed COLUMBUS is bad , just like ETHANOL IS GOOD even though it costs taxpayers a dollar for every gallon made.
richard w. denning - Craig Hall the unelected employees of the EPA are directed by an appointee of an elected official. It implements regulations based on legislation passed by elected officials. If you don't like it tell your elected representatives. They can change it but then they would then have to get into passing the multiple regulations required by their legislation. They are generally unqualified to do that because they do not have the technical expertise. But then you could just have the UNELECTED coal companies write their own regs. That's what this link ia really all about.
jeffery stickels - Some of the comments on here are really sad. Unbelievable!!!
jerry fuller - Everybody wants clean air but nobody wants super clean nuclear plants.
chris rindfuss - Time for the wood burner to come inn

Being Conservative: Wow...this will really hurt residents of Ohio. Thanks DC bureaucrats! #sarcasmComments:
cathy cowan becker - Oh please. The EPA clean power plan will save millions in health care costs from avoided asthma, strokes, and heart attacks. Do you like it that Ohio has more air pollution than any other state? Apparently "Being Conservative" does.
bobbie robson durfee - Same old Republican scare tactics..... Right before an election. Imagine that !
tedd shimp - I support shutting down the plants where owners refuse to invest in appropriate air pollution scrubbers. If the owners claim poverty, it's pure BS. Once again, republicans run on fear and supporting the owners first.
greg van pelt - Wonder how much the Koch brothers have spent to convince the suckers to poison their own children?
deborah randall - This post offers absolutely no information. I fear to think what our air and natural resources would be like if we did not have an EPA watching over businesses.
lee kreider - My son has sold over $12,000 of electricity back to the power company since installing solar panels 4 years ago. How much this saved the community in reduced health care? Unknown.
shawn groves - For those who like facts. https://www.nrdc.org/air/files/poisoning-the-great-lakes.pdf
david sell - Cap and trade will increase energy use by 40-60%. This will kill us in the pockets There is no way we can afford this. Tell the EPA NO!!!
kevin kandy chandler - We need to stop shutting these power plants down
richard lannum - Don't believe the fear tactics
wayne fryback - Sounds an awful lot like a chain letter. Is this the best you can do? Seriously, I thought you guys were supposed to be the masters of fear mongering. Lame.
mary carrow - I agree that power plants need scrubbers on them. We luve within 10 miles of 3 power plants come and take aloof at the particles that are all over our vehicles 1 hour after washing them. Then tell me if you would like to breathe that daily. Or better yet your children or grandchildren. If it is on all the surfaces around you think of what your lungs look like!
jessica waggy oswald - My husband will lose his job at our community's coal powered plant. EPA is ouy if control. Obama has us all right where he wants us....government dependent.
dianne myers - What good is pristine air if you cannot afford heat? Any one priced an oil heating bill in February?
george murphy - Climate change may not hurt some of us but it will hurt our children and grandchildren, and in more than their pockets.
marvin j kettels - Typical liberal thinking, spend other people's money until they can't afford the taxes. Give them food stamps, call them poor and increase taxes on the remaining wealthy. Stopping anyone who wants to have a decent life
gavin armstrong - Sad that people are blindly supporting this. If you take 60 seconds to read this post, you should clearly understand IT SAYS NOTHING!
Details? Examples?? They're hoping you're too lazy to ask one simple question.... One simple question: HOW?
brian mccallister - This country is out of touch with reality and is controlled by a handful of people, how do they think people is gonna pay the electric bill climbing rates when you gotta pay for the dam house the electrics hook to?
charles mancino - Time to switch to natural gas anyway.
ranel hill-ferguson - I read this and thought this. doesn't tell me anything. I'm happy to read others thought the same thing.
matt logue - I care more about the environment then a ten percent cut in costs that the energy companies will pocket half and donate rest to GOP. You are being misled if you say oh God, yes they are, tell me what I can do!

Being Conservative: The Parents of an Aurora, Colorado Shooting victim filed a lawsuit Tuesday targeting four online retailers for negligently selling ammunition, tear gas, a high-capacity magazine and body armor used in the attack on july 20, 2012. It says the companies had no safeguards to keep dangerous people…Comments:
james ryan doster - Time to support these online dealers.
mark stevenson - Anti-gun=Anti-freedom.
roger l. robb - You mean Anti-Constitution (democrat) gun groups!!!
ryan wood - Can't go after the guns so lets hit the bullets!
thomas ritter - James Ark there is no way of telling when or if a person will go "off the deep" end. We already have enough back ground checks in place along with over 3,000 gun laws on the local, states, and federal levels. It's a known fact that a perfectly normal, well adjusted person could have a tragic event take place in their lives that pushes them over the edge. In Lanzans case he was in need of mental help long before he became an adult but his mother was in denial. The day before the shooting he tried to purchase a weapon and was turned down. With a weapon his mother had given him he murdered her to be able to gain access to a locked gun cabinet. With the ease at which a criminal can obtain a weapon on the black market there is no way to stop these people. By the way the law you speak of in your state is the same law that kept Lanza from buying a weapon. The only people that are effected by the law are law abiding citizens, criminals live outside of the law and insane people have no laws in their world - both know all to well where to buy a weapon out side of the law. If not by gun then by car, fire, knife, ax, bat or by what ever means necessary including back packs with pressure cookers or box knives and an airliner full of innocent people or perhaps a truck full of fertilizer parked in front of building. No sir you can't stop crazy and criminals will never give heed to our laws. For a final thought Jack the riper never used a gun but terrorised an entire city, John Gacy never used a gun but murdered something 35 young men and boys - the list goes on and on. The only way to stop a bad guy with a weapon is a good guy with a weapon and the good guy doesn't always have to wear a badge. But more important than all of that is the right our founding fathers intended to give us and that's the right to protect ourselves from a government gone bad -- one bent on "ruling" instead of governing, a government which becomes a tyrant.
james anderson - These pricks should stay out of our business and let us Enjoy or 2nd Amendment rights
mitchell harrison - James Ark.... You got to be kidding me man ....Can you define the words shall not be infringed? Even filling out a piece of paper to buy a gun is infringement ...
richard pate - This "logic" escapes me.. this would be akin to suing a car manufacturer or a car dealership for selling someone a car and then that driver gets into a wreck and kills someone... When will these PATHETIC IDIOTS LEARN that IT IS THE PERSON USING THE FIREARM THAT IS THE PROBLEM ... the firearms is just the "tool of choice" that the person used to commit the crime... neither the firearm's nor the ammunition manufacturer are at fault... IT IS SOLELY THE FAULT OF THE *PERSON* WHO PULLED THE TRIGGER!!!!
john hott - Good luck with the lawsuit. There are no laws being broken.
doris hall - You know when all these school shootings were happening I had to think long and hard about how I felt about some guns but the more I thought about it and talked with people I came to realize that the problem was not guns but the people who had them and did not lock them when they had a troubled person living with them. So to the parents who lost there children I am so sorry for your lose but filing a law suit will not bring your child back instead work on getting something done about the mental health which is what problem was to start with.
rocky wyatt - I want to sue the makers of my spoon...I've gained 15 lbs. from the day I bought it......Makes about as much scene as this bunch of foolishness!
rick cox - Just a lashing out through their hurt. Folk need to get a handle on reality. Blame the gun, blame the car, blame the pencil, blame the fork, blame whatever is in the hands of a criminal, but NEHHHHVER blame the criminal.
thomas ritter - James Ark Canada has some of the strictest gun laws and what just happen there? In Australia they all but wiped out gun owner ship --- home invasions have more than doubled, murders and rapes are up and robberies have tripled as reported by the BBC - ya it's really working for them. If the second amendment should fall the rest of the constitution would follow. You have good intentions James but you are to young to know that the socialist who have taken over the democratic party have been trying for over 50+ years to disarm the American citizens one law at a time. Their end gold is to turn America into a socialist nation with a communist over tone. Not all Democrats are like this but movers and shakers who in power - the rest follow blindly not having a clue as to were they are being led.
david morris - Better sue the parents who had the credit cards the kids used, too.
michael oberle - Who are the online dealers I need some more ammo. might as well support them.
michael hardy - A counter suit is in order - for CONSPIRACY to deny American citizens their GOD-GIVEN, Constitutionally protected rights.
ervin sanders - Let's see, then stop selling cars to drunks. Bunch of dumbasses.
daniel m urrutia - Is this the same state, that says it's ok to sell dope? Just wondering.
charles reynolds - The Way Of The Libs - if they can't get a law making something illegal or taxed it to death, they'll sue it out of existence if they can - or bully them with action groups to make life miserable for them until they give up and quit.
larry burke - I guess I need to buy more ammo on line
jim haehn - Look out car dealers, next you will be sued for selling a car or truck to people who drink to much and kill some kid in a crosswalk with it.

bruce skip reed - I don't understand why reputable scientists do not realize that the older forms of energy generation are not sufficiently efficient to carry the load. We need to keep the fossil fuel, nuclear and Hydro dams running until science finally figures out how..... declaring the problem solved does not solve the problem.
terry lane - Yes, and they will get worse, winter is coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank's A.E.P
amy vegas howell - Because conservatives don't believe in utilizing SOLAR, WIND, AND HYDRO power because they are free and can't make MONETARY CONTRIBUTIONS to their campaigns.
daniel w musgrave - What is the price of clean air?
david brown - i would sign but most likely a bait and switch and signing just gives them more power to raise it even more. trust no politician
miguel calderon - That is why I am working towards building alternative ways of powering my home, begining with a homemade wind turbine.
paul hazinski - I wouldnt care what this post had on it it comes with a picture of ronald reagan on it possably the most do nothing president of our time and for those that will say he ended the cold war I think u should thank the afgan people they are who brought about the end of ussr red ur history and dont get it spoon fed to u by these people
judy arnold - yes, Lets use COAL-put those folks back to work!!
stephen beard - Continuing: Glad I don't live in Columbus anymore. AEP has no sense of what is right and wrong about their "system," the one that breaks at the hint of tough weather and stays broken for weeks.
stephen beard - With regard to the question: Pretty low, actually, but would be lower if all those cockamamie classes of billing code were reformed. And utilities had to take actual responsibility for their screw ups, rather than adding the costs to ratepayer's bills.
anna sheward brown - I did sign, I have "Engery Co-opt" and can't get any other company in my area!
millie dement - Most everything is too expensive now. The cost of groceries is worse than the electric bill.
laura j bailey - yes, put the coal miners back to work~~
darlene mulholland - Listen, neither you, John, or you, Paul, are Ohio residents so you should not be bothered by this
patrick bishop - Everything is Too expensive. Gas was 35 cents when I was learning to drive.
richard lewis - Before he was elected Obama said he would shut down the Coal Industry and he is trying his best to do that.
nilda cedeño de camargo - Yes it is, to EXPENSIVE.
mark obanion - I voted but I really doubt it will do any good. If the same people continue to make these decisions, nothing is going to change.
kc hammons - YES! And only to get worse...
jeanie sucec - YES YES and more YES'S
adam schmidt - My electric bills better stay low.
Duke Energy thinks they an get away with Poisoning 300,000 Americans in West Virginia.
They think we Forgot that they have been charging us for EPA Cleanup Costs since the 1970s. We ALREADY PAID for the cleanups they never did.
Duke has been STEALING FROM US for decades and NOW they want to Raise Rates to Pay the Lawyers to Fight the Fines and Prison Sentences they so richly deserve.

carole wicker - we need to get off of coal !
mike cibak - Did you vote Democrat? If so, you deserve to pay
levi thomas - A vote for ANY DEMOCRAT is a vote for Obama's Policies and as we can see the worlds falling apart and he would rather fight COAL/OIL/GAS then ISIS.
eric dongu - How will deregulating the energy industry make your bill lower? Are the energy companies REQUIRED to lower costs because of de-regulation? Maybe if we ask them nicely they'll lowers our bills......
neil dollar - Were currently starting to involve ourselves in our own wind turbine and solar power to aid in our electrical needs for our home. Its very interesting so check it out .
pam phillips - Not nearly as bad as other states around us. President Obama assured us that" electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket " under his administration as he and the EPA destroy the coal industry without and before there is adequate replacement for the jobs and for generating the power
gail sloane munger - He warned us and said, "Your utilities will necessarily skyrocket!" Hope they're happy w/their non-hope and change!
lori fry boyer dove - MORE kOCH bROTHER LIES! wE HAVE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND START USING CLEAN FUELS... THAT WILL ALSO CREATE JOBS AND ELIMINATE COSTLY CLEANUPS
melanie reed - It's called one of the top 3 investments by Wall Street. What is it? Energy. And the price you pay and how high it jumps is set by investors and shareholders. If you want to lower your electric bill - GO TO THE GOVERNMENT for oversight of your electric utilities. Not the other way around. Utilities are playing a GAME WITH YOU. You fight against the gov oversight for them and they will in turn raise your rates anyway in order to invest in other companies for their shareholder's profits. THAT is what you are paying for. Not cleaner energy.
kim greer - Let's keep our head in the sand and play nice. I'm sure without the EPA our utility prices will go down. Big business has the publics best interest at heart. They would never pollute the water or environment to make a profit. No one needs to monitor them because they are ran by people with high moral standards and always look out for the greater good. Need I go on?
jack brubaker - There is always a balance. Part of the "cost" of electricity is dirty air. I can't eat the fish from my pond because of all the mercury from coal burning.
craig hall - The epa is a agency that are not elected officials keep signing their junk keep listening to the propaganda
tonya patterson - Should be groupthinknews.com I just signed a petition for EPA to keep on protecting us. :)
mtsmasonry smith - Thr rich getting richer
larry nemcek - You tree huggers make me want to barf......think that's the way to go????? Move to California and pay those ridiculous bills......you'll be back!!!!!!
teresa russell - No more worries!! Now the united nations is stepping in!! At least for water bills but whats next?! Let's just pay everyone's bills that dont feel like paying them on their own! After all we are just WORKING for that money.......everyone deserves it! Those who dont pay apparently should have the right not to.....the rest of us apparently should lose everything
beverly roche - New name, same bull.
larry anderson - Yes We have three total elect.homes on our property the bills are way to high
van le - I'm sorry, i see this is so great:

joann rich - Sure is, but coal did not do it.
brandon rdzak - While we're at it, my bill for my drinking/tap water is also too high! So I guess it's time to deregulate those pesky purification plants! After all, who needs clean drinking water if it costs less money for grimy water, right?

deborah brook - I'm getting really tired of seeing this over and over again over again Over Again Over Again Over Again
daniel j. dahms - Let us face the truth, "Being Conservative" today in America, IS being STUPID!
paul stephens - great petition if you have found another way to breathe besides the polluted air generated from the power plants.
jack brubaker - These folks have no real argument. They hope we will fall for the cost claims when in fact every time the EPA has raised clean air standards the economy has improved. In Indiana we have 1 billion a year in health cost alone from coal fired plants.
annette grande magjuka - I like the EPA and its regulations
steven crouch - The extinction of life on the planet will hurt worse . The billionaires that became billionaires from coal and from profiting inordinately from utilities that were once public charitable trusts should pay these costs. As with everything else I'm sure there is some patriotic reason for their greed . Liberty , Freedom , and Justice for all with vast sums of money , everyone else can go to hell.
susan dancingstar - we need clean air and water.
tony stabler - This is what deregulation got you. Good idea to trust in big corporations doing what's best for the consumers. Capitalism in it's purest form cares nothing for people, just profits.
stephen gossman - Most of the republicans that spout this crap are ignorant of the facts......It doesn't take a genius to figure out sunlight and wind are basically free energy and does not pollute the planet, but Fox noise doesn't tell them that fact.
seth daugherty - They don't even explain the petition
rich ries - I live in Indiana, where the State still has guidelines for eating locally-caught fish. The reason? Mercury from coal-fired power plants is in our water and in our fish. Why someone would seek to thwart the EPA's efforts to make power plants put public health ahead of corporate profits is beyond me. It is at the least a position of ignorance and at worst a means of malevolence.
thomas spangler - They want to take their country back----to when we had acid rain.
ann topmiller - Don't you just love (sarcasm) how Big Coal and it's paid-off Congresspersons are trying to sell Hoosiers on the idea that we're all happy to breathe dirty air if it'll save us a few bucks? Hey Big Coal...we want to breathe and we want a world full of clean air for ourselves and for those that are still to come.
conrad morris - I want to be able to have my kids live in a clean environment
tony christakis - In Maine our power bills will go up by $ 15-20 a month come March. Businesses will get hit in January. This will really help the economy up here
john brooks - Like I said...THIS IS PUT OUT BY THE ELECTRIC COMPANIES, PEOPLE! ...what else do you need to know?
randy rau - Public safety is more important than corporate profits.
bonnie holle - The National Resources Defense Council figure the rule will create more than 250,000 jobs and will lead to lower energy bills over time. The EPA reportedly estimates the investments needed to meet the emission limits will cost about $8 billion a year, but would save 6,600 lives and more than $50 billion a year in health care cost tied to air pollution.
john taylor - You people that liked this are ill informed! Do you have children that will need a future and a stable climate? This is generated by the carbon polluters like our friends like NIPSCO
john taylor - If we don't start grappling with carbon emission in 50 years you won't have to worry about rates. Climate change is real! It's too bad Indian is so reliant on coal. Nipsco has fought every green application and only embraced it after losing several law suits. Their business model is broken! That's what your paying for! The EPA guidelines need to be tougher! Don't buy into this ridiculous industry pollution for short term gains!
mike mccullough - Cheap energy that makes us sicker... higher health care to care for us when we get sick. You will pay either way. If the energy companies will freeze the rates for 20yrs, I will support it. Otherwise rates will climb anyway, and so will their profits

heidi hesse - Youre family budget is at the mercy of utility shareholders who profit while you pay for the bailing wire & duct tape it takes to hold together outdated coal fired power plants & delapidated coal ash retention ponds, which were designed to be a TEMPORARY solution to the problem of what to do with all that ash, which is chock full of arsenic, lead, mercury, selenium & cadmium. These chemicals stored in unlined containment ponds pose a threat to the soil & drinking water supplies we share. So before you sign this petition understand that what youre asking the EPA to do is protect utilities carte blanche to make as much money as possible with as little accountability as possible. In the end? Its the public who'll pay to remediate the damage utilities create long after theyve made their money & disappeared.
gordon brooks - Once again if it is a choice between me saving a few bucks or my grandchildren having cleaner air to breathe, my grand kids win every time..
richard lannum - Typical conservative fear mongering. The EPA cannot raise your power bill. Why are Republicans against anything to protect the environment?
john h. schneider ii - What hurts the people of Indiana are the liberal lies. We got an economic boom under Reagan, under the democrats all we get are higher taxes, higher prices, and economic stagnation.
joe decker - Typical liberal response. No, the EPA can't raise your power bill. They just force the utilities to do that. And as far as paying a few extra dollars, I don't think 20%-30% is a "few". Some people are on fixed incomes. They don't have the privilege of paying more for tomorrow when they can barely survive today.
dave sanders - I love how this sponsored post doesn't say crap about what regulations are being considered, or reference any actual information to back up their claims. Maybe those regulations are worth it? Maybe those power companies should be spending money to upgrade their plants (creating MORE jobs) not less.
If you can't give unbiased information sources then I don't care what your scare tactics are. We need debate and compromise based on facts, not who can afford to buy a FaceBook ad.
justin goings - Support us miners and indiana coal.
paul asbury - Good thing I heat my house with clean burning tires and clean burning styrofoam :)
jason stegall - The EPA is there to protect the environment, not corporate profits. If they can't comply with tje regulations, they should be fined. If they refuse to comply, they should be shut down. Maybe then there would be some competition for the big energy companies. Everywhere I've lived, the has only been one electricity provider in the area. Maybe this will lower energy costs.
christy houpt potts - Better breathing is worth a few bucks!
annette grande magjuka - The EPA helps people. I want regulations against horrific pollution!!!
mark woodcock - With being taxed through the nose, increases in health insurance, food prices skyrocketing it's already hard enough living paycheck to paycheck. Now the out of control EPA wanting more power to grab and suck up more of our hard earned dollars.
scott harrington - I'm not so much PRO-COAL as I am ANTI-HYPOCRIT. President Obama said "...this was the day sea levels started to fall". Then he and his wife take SEPERAT 747's on vaca to Martha's Vineyard. Ted Kennedy fought TOOTH AND NAIL to keep turbines out of Cape Cod so the view from the Kennedy compound wasn't ruined by the "Green Energy" he forces on everyone else. Hmmmm....
becky walter - Coal lobby at work here friends. Read the fine print.
scott harrington - As an ignorant conservative I am curious how my wifes 20 mpg Jeep destroys the planet but Al Gore's four 8 mpg Suburbans and private jet do not?
robert wilkin - I am a past president of a large chapter of the National Audubon Society. The damage that is being done to birds and bats (including the endangered Indiana Bat) by wind turbines is irreversible. These "green energy" schemes are not about replacing coal, gas, nor nuclear energy plants. It is only a scheme to steal money from the national treasury. The birds that are being slaughtered are protected by international treaties. Our government is ignoring those safeguards for all species that fly for the greed of one species that walks. Please do your homework on the damage that this extra and unnecessary pressure puts on our birds and bats. Wind power generation by turbines is inefficient and expensive and the ecological damage is unacceptable. Solar panels should be on all our homes not in solar fields that become kill zones for birds. Look up the Ivanpah project in California on the NV border just outside Primm Nevada. Pay attention to the comments of workers who have a name for the birds that catch of fire as they fly through the superheated air above the project. They call them "streamers" referring to the smoke trail they leave as they fall to the ground feathers seared and flesh cooked as they die. Do not rush to the "green energy"schemes just because you don't understand the advances made in technology of using nuclear, coal, and natural gas.
tommy gaines - A few bucks? think of your electric bill doubling. We're still paying for Marble Hill, the failed Nuke power plant that you greenies derailed. We could use it now.
murphy a hatfield jr. - Obama is following through with his predictions before he was elected about shutting down or rebuilding power plants by bankrupting them trying to upgrade them forcing them to put in more clean air devices that haven't even been developed yet to do what he wants & we all know the EPA is doing obamas bidding for him.
john h. schneider ii - Increased regulations by the EPA drive up costs - at no real benefit to the "environment".
Scare tactics from the left about the danger to the environment don't work with anyone who actually checks the facts.
tommy gaines - And next you idiots will be yelling No Fracking! the very thing that will produce natural gas for your coal conversions. Hey, the Viet Nam war is over, you can stop protesting every thing. We lost thanks to you idiots. signed a 2 time Nam Vet.
mark franklin - Imagine millions of homes burning coal, locomotives using coal school rooms being heated with coal and factories all using coal. To day the only real source of coal demand is the power plants and much like the one recently built in Edwards port it has made burning coal safer. Coal Power!
