MOPAR TOUGH! Here are two pictures of the actual General Lee that made the famous "Freeway Jump" in the feature film. It's amazing that with the nose as high as it is, the roof and quarter didn't buckle from secondary damage.

[Mark Norton] - To bad they trashed so many of those.
[Daniel Brenek] - Are you going back to original? If not, General Lee is overdone. Why not make it a "Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry" tribute?
[Kerry Pinte] - Don't let Warner Brothers studios get anywear near this Charger again!
[Brian Hoyt] - Try that with a vehicle today and the crap steel they use. Long live MOPAR, American steel and Detroit of yesteryear!
[Christopher Weihrauch] - We can rebuild it
[Wod Johnson] - Show a pic of the VIN ......prove ita the original .....the VIN will b tagged LEE1 or LEE2 and so on through out the series as they went thru cars ........don't ever question the Dukes with this guy .......that was my jam back in the day
[Paddy O'Fernicher] - I'm not so sure how tough they are...they can't do this twice!!!!!
[Marc Gabbard] - I love old muscle, the style, raw horsepower. But I shake my head when people talk about when cars were built from "good steel" and how todays cars aren't made from real steel. Truth be told, the high strength steels used in todays new cars is far superior in strutural design and strength. Todays cars arent nearly as cool but until you have a brand new car up on a frame machine and have witnessed the steel having reacted to an impact exactly as engineered, you wont be able to appreciate how superior that "thin cheap steel" really is.
[Brent Walczuk] - Dodge should reopen the molds ..use todays tech.redesign the suspension ,and put a 700hp hemi in it .
[Ken Cozier] - According to Ben Jones, they demolished 256 General Lee in the series alone ..http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Lee_(car)
[Cecil Brown] - Jumped the creek too many times...
[Chris Clardy] - If you watch the actual jump you will see the car lands on all four wheels. Unfortunately the steering arm breaks sending the car hard left into the concrete highway divider doing the driver side damage you see here..
[Frankie Mattix] - Bring the General back to life don't go back stock.
[Tk Thomson] - Just to clear up what i think is a missunderstanding with some of the posters here. That car is from the movie done by broken lizard featuring jessica simpson and johnny knoxville, and not one if the originals from the t.v. series. The original was built by george barris. In the early series was evident by crossed flags above the rear deck lid. (Watch the original pilot if you don't believe me.) Just sayin people are confusing it with one from the series.
[Dan Feldkamp] - Such a cool car that was destroyed in a terrible movie
[Karl Norton] - Morpar the best American car usa ever built.
[William A Fieldhouse] - How many of those cars did they destroy in filming Dukes of Hazard ??
[Mark Trezza] - Wow that's great keep wrecking great cars!! Not! Aholes
[Mehdi Bachir] - Ba Dre Gouli Chi Wehda Bhal Hadi F sif Walakien Tseksef 3liha
[Bobby Kirk] - that's y they r so hard to find because of that show the duke's of hazard..........
[Duke Maxon] - Money nothing to you guys
[Daniele Rigon] - Where did you find this treasure? :-) O.o
[Michelinas Apizza] - Oh you poor baby :(
[David Young] - It's a shame they did this to another charger. The original series killed enough of them. The movie isn't half as good as the old tv show.
[Byron Bailes] - A straight up tank...one of the greatest cars ever
[Scott Jantz] - Wouldn't the roll cage that they installed prevent the roof and rear quarters from buckling?? Mopar tough my a$$!!!
[Kris Denkers] - Adolph Montini Joseph Franco Peter Legory
[Alonso Arce] - Alfonso Arciniega Malportados de la Sierra
[Dan Filippone] - This picture makes me very sad. To do such a thing to a dying breed breaks my heart. They should have just given it to me.
[Timmy Farmer] - So this Charger has been sitting for years and years untouched as valuable as they are and no one done anything with it? Where has it been all the years?
[Leonard Poplaskie] - Too bad that show destroyed so many Chargers, they were great cars.
[EdandLinda Lake] - Rex Wiseman...don't you wish you had your "plum crazy" 1968 back???
[Kenny Humphrey] - Thst jump car was rotting away in the junkyard when the movie was being made. They made it look good enough for the camera and jump scene but they didn't destroy a " perfect car". It ran just long enough to do the jump. The car that did the rest if the movie wasn't destroyed. Still cool that even this car will be saved. As much as I hate these movies destroying cars the attention they have brought to the cars themselves has gotten a lot of other cars pulled out of the "graveyard" and restored.
[Charlie Cummings] - if the car was weakened from previous damage or hidden rust then it won't transfer force from the crash the same as a solid one .... you learn things running demo's haha
[Steve Friebel] - I can't belive you are going to do anything to the car... It is worth so much more as is, and if a collector is going to buy the car he will stay far away if you fix it.... It's no a factory car, it's a movie car... Worth far less if repaired. .....Also you will never be able to match the paint, and if you get close if wiill hurt thr cars bottom line...
[Corey Gatewood] - Why would u repair this piece of history? it should be left as is!
[Karl Moore] - Will it be built into a General Lee again or back to what vin and build sheet says?
[Luis Gomez] - There's a special place in hell for the guys who destroyed like five of those per episode.
[Wod Johnson] - And the original paint scheme for this particular car WAS the General Lee ..........we can't have U.S. history with out George Washington what makes u think we can have mopar history without the "General"
[Brandon Shaffer] - I'll but it right now jus like it is
[Rye Bread] - Yeah , considering how high it jumped , not bad at all !
[Cal Handley] - There were many cars used in the movie. As far as hating the series for the little over 300 cars it destroyed, 69 Charger production was nearly 90,000 cars sold. So if there's a shortage of them now, don't blame Warner Brothers. Blame the thousands of Charger owners who wrapped them around telephone poles or sent them to the junkyard because they weren't valuable yet.
[Bill Rioux] - dan i like that thinking ty
[Mark Trezza] - Stop Dukeing cars!
[Street Image] - i want it I'll fix it
[Rob Hall] - Restore it as a charger without the dukes nonsense
[Justin Zachary] - My dream car since I was a kid watching the Dukes of Hazard
[Ellen Matherne] - They don't make cars like that anymore unfortunately
[Micah Williams] - I'd like to it restored
[Steven Falco] - Of course we can rebuild it and to do it again
Graveyard Carz: MOPAR TOUGH! Here are two pictures of the actual General Lee that made the famous "Freeway Jump - 50th Comments
[Steven Falco] - Because that was real Detroit steel
[Scott Siebers] - Nice patina, looks drivable to me. After the resto it won't be a jump car so you'll have jump it again....haha
[Marcos Hunter] - General Lee. 69 charger <3
[Gwen Thomas] - We were safer back then! Didn't have as many deaths in car wrecks
[Terrence Jasso] - F*ckin' AWESOME !!
[Mike Perine Sr.] - You guys do amazing job
[Bubba A Allen] - Funny thing is everyone thinks there were like hundreds of these cars torn up in the making of the original Dukes Of Hazard and the new one. But if I remember correct , and I could be wrong , I read in Mopar Magazine that only like 70 were used in the original and like 7 in the remake with some being sold in each.
[Wayne Morgan] - Looks like the drivers side pillar took a little damage.
[Darrell Landrum] - I am guessing the frame is a tiny bit bent/twisted?
[Joel Key] - There's your problem!!!!!! Lol
[Don Covell Jr] - 2 Lees did the highway jump.. the OTHER one did 3 jumps! The Comite River Jump, the freeway jump, and then a practice jump at the production office.. All of those jumps were done without a driver, using a catapault.
[Robert Rosenbalm] - Thats because dodge built tough vehicles..
[Char Toth] - I agree with Daniel Brenek the general awesome but over done crazy mary n dirty larry charger was mint
[Paul David Eldridge] - Freeway jump? Don't you mean creek jump? Lol I'm glad you guys got one tho. They used hundreds of these cars a destroyed them. I know you guys will get er straightened up tho.
[Anthony Spriggs] - mopars never die, they just get rebuilt
[Freddy Garcia] - Eeeeeeeeerhaaaaawww!
[Eugene Holling] - I think what your doing is awesome
[Colton Light] - Nice I love fords too!!!...and let the hatred begin hahahahaha
[Chris St Hilaire] - You guys gonna fix it!?
[Robbie Frentz] - When will your show start again
[Josh Menard] - Love to see you guys restoring this. Glad to know its in good hands rather than someone that would part it
[Vito Pugliese] - Yeah it just crinkled the c-pillar...
[Sebastian Dorrian] - Car abuse makes me sad
[Samuel Friesen] - It was the part of the show that what make the movie fun is them wrecking there cars
[Chris Redden] - It'll buff out. Thanks to that movie theirs around 7 challengers left in the world
[Stephen Griggs] - Real Steel Cars !
[Chip Walker] - Ok you answered my question, There can't be Concrete In trunk and there must not have been a engine or tranny when they launched. From what I have read and seen of the movie they "Air" Launched using a air powered pulley system which would launch the vehicle very fast In a short distance.
[Mark Hamblin] - Put it back to the.original build sheet options, and for Christ sakes quit putting this Stupid paint scheme on these Mopars,It was a Stupid T.V.show,get over it already!!!
[Muath Marzoqa] - It s very good car
[Robert Vroman] - Restore that car
[Trevor Sharkbait Martin] - Omg that car is so sexy!!!
[Paul Richards] - It's a tough car of course it's a Mopar!! They don't make'em now like they used to!!
[Wod Johnson] - Zack ......u r "The Man"......I knew someone else had my same passion for the General
[Brandon Kyle Baboolal] - Reece Chad Mungalsingh
[Spankylee Wayne] - general lee is as dead as the dixie flag on the roof
[Francisco Zamorano] - mira ese charguer
[Dáve Fazekas] - you can not give me a link to the serial?
[Michael Feliciano] - That was my 1st car at age 17 in the military.
[Matt Capobianco] - I find what they did sick and wrong! Save this beautiful car!
[Wîšám Aljöbôrûí] - https://www.facebook.com/pages/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%83%D9%84%D9%8A%D9%87-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%B3%D9%83%D8%B1%D9%8A%D9%87-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%88%D9%84%D9%89/141238582696129
[Matt Smith] - This is my favorite classic car ever. The show is the reason why. I hope you guys can bring this beauty back to life!!! There aren't many left and the movie really lowered that number
[Michael R Forcum] - Paul they jumped onto a freeway in the modern movie version.. they jumped many a creek back in the day ...
[Miguel Collazo] - That's what u call metal. Not Budweiswe cans that make car"s to day.
[Steven Buss] - Todd Schmidt I'm sure that people do more damage to the environment than that car does
[Jules Prasada] - Oh baby I love the Dukes of Hazard !
[William Collins] - It's amazing how many chargers they used and destroyed it sucks
[David Fever] - I'm looking foreword to seeing this car back to its former glory. I used to love Dukes of Hazard when I was growing up, one of my favourite cars :-)
[Ray Camaross] - I wouldn't repair it, I would keep it as is just because it's a famous tv show piece...
[Ken Neuhoff] - Body on frame not a uni-body shitbox!
[Fernando Calixto Sanchez] - I will love to work on that car
Graveyard Carz: MOPAR TOUGH! Here are two pictures of the actual General Lee that made the famous "Freeway Jump - 100th Comments
[Martin Doherty] - its overdone because the general is the most famous of them all. i hope he lives again.
[Holiday Doc] - O my God look what Jesus's did he gave u a car among cars I would died
[Joe Pearson] - I hope it stays a General Lee. Thats the TV car in history and its a movie car it will lose a lot of its value if you put back to what it looked like when it was born. I wouldn't have restored it I would have left it alone.
[Clifton D. Darnell] - Ok cool, now put it back to stock!
[Tim Murphy] - I hope you are able to make-it as when it was new...
[Jenn Smith] - Ooo fix the General, good as new plz.
[Julianne Hicks Lordslightonyou] - This is when they use to make cars that were worth the money, rough and tough!!
[Jim Sterling] - it would be cool if you could find all the mopars from the movies like dirty mary crazy larry, vanishing point and on and on
[Rex Wiseman] - Looked at a 64 vette today
[Russ Tolle] - Reminds me of the old saying, "Do not try this at home!"
[Rex Wiseman] - I'm surprised you remember that car. Ended up red! Would be worth some $$ now!
[Jim Sterling] - i see alot of $$$$ just in parts to be found not to mention labor cost and paint!
[Edward Kimmerly] - i would love to have one of them cars
[Nate Beichler] - please restore this to its former glory!
[William Leckie] - Kieran Beveridge
[Kenneth Johnston] - Hope you get this one done soon
[Loony Bin Jimi] - The original charger that made the jump in the beginning of the show was junked and spent 30 years in the mud. They made one pull on the car and it came back to exact factory specs. It sucks what happened to these cars but its amazing how tough they are.
[Von Schinlex Dival] - Dukes of Hazzard
[David Honomichl] - ^^^Not ur money or car so why bother worrying about it.
[Brian Limerick] - Man that's the general lee brothers
[Matthew G Fuller Sr.] - Can't wait for the after pics!
[John Young] - Take good care of the ol' girl.
[Tu Na] - Yup she's a tuffy!!
[Shawn Zugai] - Not a fan that car ruined so many other chargers
[Jim Pratscher] - I guess it would make more sense to restore it to it's General Lee status because in fact it is a movie car and holds ownership to the longest jump. I'm fighting my demons to say that though.
[Jamie Keller] - this was my favorite car growing up!!
[Robert Zalewski] - will it be ready for the race on saturday cooter?
[Mark Heaslip] - it will buff out, lol
[Jerry W. Johnson] - I hate to think what kind of damage this would have done to one of today's cheaply built cars.
[Dennis Vanderiest] - What did I hear no new shows coming they cancel you I knew this was going on because you can never give the date of the new season all BS
[Austin Swenson] - Those fucking bastards
[Rick Bouska] - Thanks, I always wondered what the car looked like afterwards
[Phil Stephenson] - even though jessica simpson looked great in that bikini i hope they never make another dukes of hazzard so all chargers are safe
[Paul Barrett] - The Jessica Simpson movies don't count they are disgusting to the legacy of the Dukes
[Matt Scott] - I saw that jump in person, they shutdown the interstate in baton rouge near my house for it. My brother inlaw worked as a mechanic on set fixing the cars as they broke them.
[Danny Mann] - Broke my heart to see all the cars destroyed during the tv shows run and then the movie ,the general lee is my favorite car of all time and my dream car to own ,I've owned a77 vette,70 firebird,97 z28,91 fire bird and none compare to the general still my dream car ,lmao first record i ever owned was the dukes of hazzard theme.
[Rick Garland] - I had and chance to buy one of these at 16 when i started driving. My Mother said she wanted to see what kind of car i wanted. So i showed it to her and she was like hell fn no your not. Mad me so mad.
[Tom Kern] - not to brag but my father has sox an martins 71 hemi road runner he bought off them when he was working for them in the day. He took it apart 30 years ago and stored it with the original motor built by jake king now it's at my garage an I look at it everyday an it needs basicly a full restoration an I don't have the funds. It kills me.. Someday we will bring her back to life. Also I recall he couldn't get 11500 for it when I was a kid lol. Thank god he didn't sell it
[Chris Graham] - The car is the only thing in the movie worth watching.
[Richard Bales] - You can see the damage taking place in the movie
[Dennis Koldewijn] - Love the Dukes only hate the fact of how many charger's they demolished during the show and the movie's. But the bright side of their airborn driving skill's is that you guy's can probably stay in business for the next 30 year's if you have to bring all the wrecked General's back to life. Will this one be brought back to the original factory spec's or will it become the General Lee once again?
[Dean Lewis] - a good wash and polish !!! good az newish .......good werk by the way ....
[Clint Craggs] - I'll take it the way it sits and rebuild it myself! Send it my way!
[Brad Radovich] - Mark Hamblin go troll somewhere else. You don't like it the way it is don't look at it!
[Tomek Cz] - I hate that show because of that
[Rob Pullen] - This is the movie car not from the series
[Rob Pullen] - It would prolly look a lot worst if it didn't have a cage
[Chuck Mcclure] - it is American history and should be restored but with made in the usa parts I have seen some real junk that these guys have brought back to life and look like brand new I knew where there was a silver 69 charger in a garage here in Detroit some old lady had. been sitting there since the 70`s all there original it had not seen day light in who know how long till we opened the door to repair the garage. black interior about 5 inches of dust. body was un damaged accept for age and sitting I should have tried to get it but she was so old she was hard to even talk to I hope someone ended up with it and brought it back to what it once was you don't find stuff like that here in Detroit everything is just total rust junk its to bad they only do mopars I have a rustless 2nd gen Camaro sitting here needs to be tightened up before it turns to junk. I am not a body man it is my 1st car I bought when I was 14 it has been sitting since 1990 I wont pull it out of garage till it is back to like new condition and race ready
[Andrew Hinojosa] - those cars were built like tanks
[Blayne Fenton] - Looks to me like the sail panels are buckled
Graveyard Carz: MOPAR TOUGH! Here are two pictures of the actual General Lee that made the famous "Freeway Jump - 150th Comments
[Thomas Coleman] - How the hell are you guys going to pull that back in to shape???? Good luck
[Derek LaJuett] - The car is worth more the way it is. If in fact its a original in the feature movie. Any one would know that!!!!
[Scott Palmer] - Will the inside of the car be put back the same ?
[Darrell Nuber] - Got my purple Challenger T- shirt today !!! Thanks !!!!
[Jason Camilo Roys] - What are you doing with it? Who has had it? .. are you going to fix it? Kinda hope not..
[Dereck Parsons] - When are we going to see graveyard cars back on screen in the uk?
[Jason Camilo Roys] - That was my favorite show when I was a kid. I use to run to the TV to watch my mother said.. love that damn car
[Greg Vicknair] - It should be against the law to destroy all of these desirable Mopars thanks to GYC for bringing them back to life
[Nathan Roy] - Really surprising that the frame isn't completely toast. Definitely going to be a project gettin this beast straight again.
[Michael Quick] - that the only dodge I like is the charger
[Stan Vily] - I love general lee
[David R Sepeter] - Salvage title for the win!
[Mike Hoffman] - thats back when they built a car
[Paddy O'Fernicher] - They launch and fly well but the landings are a bit rough!!!!!!
[Terry Beemen] - Yeeeeeeeehawwwwww
[Casey Shock] - Id still want it. Id fix it up and put her back on the road.
[Dennis Denkan Olsson] - gonna give her a second chance of life? :)
[David McFadden] - The good old boys
[Stuart Holt] - Please get General back on the road
[Richard Todd] - the south shall rise again!
[Ken Williams] - please give to me!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the general lee and the Duke Boys
[Paul Elliott] - That show ruined more Charger's !
[Cal Handley] - Didn't have as many deaths in car wrecks? Really? On what planet was that. The only thing that was different was we didn't have CNN, MSNBC and a multitude of other cable news networks and the internet, to play the story over and over about a traffic fatality in "Hanover Missouri" or "Podunk Idaho" in all corners of the world. It slays me the numbers of otherwise intelligent people, who can't figure out that the only reason their childhood seemed safer than today's world is because their parents shielded them from the truth of how screwed up some people have always been.
[Clint Davis] - The General Lee is cool and all, but everybody forgets you can get a '68 and do Dom's car from Fast & Furious, or Blade's vampire hunter...
[Robert Born] - Restore the legend make it breathe again
[Stephen O'Connor] - they killed a couple cars in that movie
[Brad Kratz] - still love the general
[Joe Lian] - The most well known car ever made
[Luke Bucksbarg] - It sucks seeing a charger like that. Y couldn't all the tv shows and movies like chevelles and mustangs instead of the charger.
[Michael Santosuosso] - Did you see the catapult they used to fling those cars through the air? Man,,That Director Jay Chandlshar or how ever its spelled should have had a nicer Hero Car, I hated the steering wheel in that"Hero" Car!!
[Woodrow Whitaker] - I told that Uncle Jesse about drinking my moonshine and driving
[Robert Angeles] - DEBBY! is that "The Devil Car"? just kidding... :-)
[Andrew Evans] - There was no engine in the car when they launched it across the freeway!
[Andrew Evans] - went there in September to talk with Mark and meet the crew! awesome guys!!
[Andrew Evans] - was able to get pictures of this car personally right after it arrived there!! cool
[Jeremy J Van Dyke] - It's fixable, don't worry dude, my fathers got an awesome set of tools, we can fix it!
[Sarpreet Sandhu] - rebirth general lee
[Tony Martines] - there is a hindge effect just in front of the cab
[Adela Giger] - awwwwwwww don't hurt my beauty had the car over and I will take care of it if I get cash in the car long with her lol. :D love this car
[Hugo Quiillares] - Aaaaaaaaayy no puede ser el general lii arreglenlo xfa no inventen que le hicieron
[Adam Loyd] - now this is really bad
[Travis Carlson] - Is it gonna be fixed?
[Patrick Docherty] - please tell me that you can fix it. Make the General look new
[Gerard Wall] - My roof and quarter would buckle too if I didn't have a full cage and everything reinforced/gusseted lol
[Dominic Barron] - love to have one
[David Duckett] - The car has also had major body stiffening
[Martin Tremblay] - Aaaaaaaaa non my love fuck the chit
[Rory Bradley] - I saw the movie they went through a couple of chargers
