I always used to think that a photo of me, positioned over the left shoulder of a newscaster wearing a suit and tie, would be a harbinger of certain doom.
Happily, I was mistaken.
Say hello to my new pal, Bill Lamb, and check out the finest commentary ever recorded in the long history of local journalism.
Thanks, Bill - I owe you one.

[Bill Boughton] - Mike Rowe for President
[Christine Pacinda] - Mike, if more people put political divisiveness aside in the interest of doing what's right as you have done, this country would be in far better shape today than it is. Keep up the good work. You're making a difference in the best possible way.
[Ruth Ann Wright] - My Marine thought I only liked you because you were "dreamy". Well, your post about jobs has lead him to believe that there is much more to it than just that. But don't get me wrong; you're still the second, dreamiest guy on Facebook! :)
[Sharon R. Green] - I have always been of the opinion that you do not need a four year degree in college to be successful. And you know what else? College is simply not for everyone like most people think (or what society shouts from the rooftops), and I don't mean that strictly in a financial sense. This is nothing to be ashamed of, and nobody should ever be treated badly or looked down upon for it. I love and admire Mike Rowe. I'm glad that finally someone is coming out and saying this. I also agree with him about putting aside political divisiveness. I'm so over that crap, too.
[Ken Browning] - Mike, I agree with you and your message. The problems are that we've become a service nation and no longer manufacturer much. Almost every job out there pays more if you have a degree. I'm a trained welder but couldn't land a job because I wasn't in a union and didn't know anybody associated with the position I applied for. The same was true when I applied for the fire department. I had the wrong last name and wasn't going to help them meet a quota. Since I don't have a business or trade I can pass to my children, I rather they have the education that might give them an advantage. I spent my life as a soldier. Despite the low wages, I was able to save enough to cover most of the cost to send two to college. So at least we wont be burrowing the money.
[Charlotte Pascual] - Trying to get common sense into Washington is the dirtiest job of them all. Great job. Just try not to get any DC schmutz on you. I heard that stuff is hard to get off :)
[Ted Erb] - Mike as a long time fire fighter, investigator, and inspector I very much agree with you.. Sadly even police and fire jobs are being turned into jobs of a trade which now are requiring college degrees. What happened to the day when you found a job interesting, loved it, got hired, trained on the job and loved it. Loved it so much you become great at it and stayed for life.... And didn't spend thousands to get there..
[Patricia Leal] - I'd suggest you run for president, Mike - but that might be the one Dirty Job that would put you over the edge and I really need for you to continue to narrate some of my my favorite shows. If I had my way, you'd narrate everything.
[Keith Schroetlin] - As a teacher I am doing the best I can to spread the word to a small percent of the population. I will keep spreading the word until I retire or get fired for telling kids the truth about some college degrees, and most importantly, debt. I guess if I ever lose my job in education, I'll go right back to drywalling because the truth is I love my dirty job almost as much as my teaching career.
[Lisa Meeks] - Nice to see common sense getting some airtime! ^_^
[Marshal Workman] - Mike Rowe for presedent 2016
[Mike Richmond] - Mike Rowe for the dirtiest job of all President. You've got my vote Mike
[Bill Shockley] - Mike Rowe for POTUS!
[Jeff Milligan] - Mike Rowe for POTUS 2016
[Diane Ashbrook Smith] - Mike Rowe for President!!!
[Greggery Kunkle] - Just a tidbit for you Mr Rowe. All of my siblings have college degrees. I do not. I have worked as a cable guy for 16 years now. I make more money now then any of my siblings. My two brothers have struggled to keep good jobs even with their degrees. My sister may out earn me now but the last time I checked she did not. OH yeah, MIKE ROWE FOR PRESIDENT!
[Rick Welch] - I second that! Mike Rowe for President!!!
[Dawn Cyphert Brower] - Mike For President. :)
[Steve Young] - At least the tag line on the screen doesn't say "Wanted for mopery with intent to creep"
[Matt Davis] - I hope you're making lots of babies. We need more Mike Rowe's around nowadays.
[Christine Berch] - I liked you before, but even more now. Keep preaching it! By the way, my son has his eye on a welding career, something that will very likely suit him quite well.
[Shirley Anne Hosegood] - This is such a true statement. Looking at things from a different perspective it isn't only those who go out a get those degrees that are wasting their time and parents money but the employers out there are not looking for people with years of schooling they are interested in hiring someone who is WILLING to do what is asked of them and those with the years of education aren't willing at least not at entry level wages! So get off your high pile of useless books and see the work force for what it is! You get what you earn by EARNING IT! Not by going to school to become so over qualified that no one wants to hire you because you think you are worth so much more than what they can pay! Unless your going I to a specific profession ie. doctor, accountant, scientist etc. learn to do what your passion is and you'll never "work" a day in your life! The door swings both ways learn something useful so that someone will need you and if you can do what you love ...then you've done it right!
[Lori Hall] - God bless all your efforts, wit AND wisdom. Common sense rules! Kudos The Real Mike Rowe.
[Mark Schulam] - Mike, you have what this country needs, in a leader. common sense. what do you say...mike rowe in 2016....thankyou!
[Jim Dicken] - Proud to Live in Louisville where Mr. Lamb is the station manager. One of the best I have seen in my 59 years in town.
[Mauri Ann Domer] - Mike Rowe for President?
[Bob DeFiglio] - No doubt Mike Rowe for president in 2016!
[Kip Cowher] - My husband has an Associates Degree from a trade school. He works in a power plant and engineer graduates from Case Western Reserve University work UNDER him ! Keep on working, Mike!
[Tim OpinionBug] - America needs Mike Rowe's common sense.
[Scott Smith] - Mike you are the island of common sense in the ocean of stupidity. Hopefully more people make it to the shore instead of just floating around out there.
[Kim Tudman] - You're an awesome spokesman for us every day people & the every day jobs that we do. If you think about it, it's like history in itself. When you break it all down, reality is that is how the real world works...without the everyday folks & what we do....everybody else couldn't do what they do.
[Jim Minardi] - Mike, I have a question. How many caps do you own? I'm just curious...I think the baseball cap has become a part of your signature style.
[Michael Plucker] - Right on Mike Rowe, pass the word we need trades people, and less lawyers.
[Jennifer Lockett Joiner] - I agree with you 100% Mike! As a teacher, I see this every day. Want to know how lower the drop-out rate? Teach the kids a skill like they used to do in high school. Give them a reason to stay in school.
[Pamela Day] - you are making some waves, lets turn it into a tsunami...
[Deb Lappe Hart] - I enjoy your writing in these posts and your sense of humor
[Kathleen M Holland] - Excellent! I like this guy and what he said about our Mike. Well done, and with class. Thanks to Bill Lamb!
[Lisa Avignone Tester] - My son is a Boy Scout and he is working on his Eagle. You are a inspiration to other Scouts and a role model.
[Erin Peters] - My hubby was just laid off at the age of 43 after putting in 16 years of hard, labor-intensive work making steel and it's a been a bear trying to find him another job. He is definitely not afraid of getting dirty & believes in a strong work ethic. I'm going to work my ass off to send him to welding school in the hope that'll it'll help get him a job. We can continue to work on success beyond that. You keep us inspired and striving for the future. Thank you for all you do.
[Maryann Dalley Jones] - Mike, you need your own talk show. 'Im sure a lot of people would watch
[Debra Steele] - The two fellows I seem to always agree with!! Could it be that common sense is the common denominator??? And I just happen to live in Louisville, Ky where Bill Lamb is the owner of the
Tv station that he gives his opinions about.
[Jennie Higgins] - Mike Rowe for President :)
[Mary Ammon Norris] - Hey, that's the man from WDRB in my town! Louisville loves ya Mike :)
[Kathleen A. Brown] - There are so many incredible opportunities in the trades. Average age of tradesman/women is now 58. Somebody has to do those jobs!
[Randy Sammons] - Mr. Rowe would make a good public official. I've said for years, that politicians should throw trash for 1 year, roof for a year, lay asphalt for a summer, and build houses for a year before they run for office. Just so they will know what is at stake when they 'vote' on our behalf. ( just a thought ).
[Joe Miller] - I went to trade school in high school. I knew right away that college wasn't for me. I studied building technology and have worked as a framer, cabinet maker and kitchen installer . I worked hard and landed an office job over ten years ago designing and selling spiral stairs both metal and wood. My hands on work over the years really helped in making me a good salesman for what we manufacture. I sometimes miss the hands on aspect but I find working w/ homeowners and contractors with their projects very rewarding. I would not have got that from a four year degree. I'm lucky because I love what I do thanks to technical school. I'm sad to say that some of the surrounding school districts that were offering trade school as an option have since pulled the curriculum from their schools. Very sad! I applaud your effort in bringing the trades back as a great option for people who aren't afraid of the get your hands dirty stigma!
[Bruce J. Capell] - I agree with this 100%. Nothing will get me to turn off my hearing fasting than someone telling me how all our problems are the fault of the "other" party or side.
[Greggery Kunkle] - I agree with Bill Boughton, Mike Rowe for President!
[Stephen Swope] - Again, just another convert to the Wisdom of The Real Mike Rowe
[Laurie Fontana Summy] - I saw you in a Bedford Hts., Ohio, with Mitt Romney, during the campaign. I was in tears because I knew that the common sense message of the dignity of work wasn't getting through to the Obamaphone lady picketing outside. I am happy the message is being spread far and wide now. I hope it takes root in the communities hardest hit by the myriad of social programs (including student loans) that trap their mind, spirit, and body.
The Real Mike Rowe: I always used to think that a photo of me, positioned over the left shoulder of a newscaster we - 50th Comments
[Bradley Alen Bamforth] - My hometown is ridiculously awesome and Bill Lamb is as ridiculously awesome as Louisville, KY.
[Mandy Red Sorenson] - Mike rowe for president
[Scott S. Smith] - Wow. I rarely ever agree with Bill Lamb. But this is spot on. I agree, Mike Rowe for president.
[Michelle Donnelly] - Well said! your the best Mike and super handsome ;)
[Robert Wofford] - I hope it catches on in Washington. You know, common sense and a good work ethic
[Silvan Johnson] - This is good....for you and for America. Thanks for all you do!
[Amber Lagow] - Excellent commentary!!! I'm so happy that your message is getting out there! Still contend that there should be a lot more people like you in the spotlight! It reassures me that common sense isn't as uncommon as I was beginning to speculate! Keep it up Mike!!
[Dave August] - My old Overlea buddy... I am living proof that you don't need a 4 year degree to be successful, well off, and happy... Preach it, brother
[Melissa Hughes] - Nice commentary. This Texas farm girl loves you Mike :-) thanks for bringing dirty jobs out of the closet and speaking truth and wisdom. <3
[Russell Haupenthal] - It's only if your picture is over the right shoulder of the news anchor means that it's a harbinger of certain doom.
[Alan Knepper] - Mike, I read this entry and have just seen the piece about your appearance on the Glenn Beck show. I want to lend my support to your replies in both situations, and thank you for saying the things you did.
[Tom Riehle] - Mike Rowe makes a lot of sense. There are an absolute ton of good paying jobs that no one wants. Let me tell you this: Just because you have a 4 year degree, you are still going to start at the bottom making minimum wage. Sounds pretty dicked up to me to incurr 100k in debt to come out of college and not make enough money to move out of your parents house!
[Rich Shettler] - Perfect, love it and so agree
[Michael Rom] - Mike I love ya. That being said, I find it amazing that there is so much longing for a hard working, honest, common sense kind of guy like Mike. There used to be tons of them down at the local coffee shop ( the kind before starbucks, that served mediocre coffee for a dime) filled with farmers and local businessman I as a kid would love to listen to them banter back and forth( I knew to keep my mouth shut ss a kid). Many times heated but always with respect. With loss of all of these independently employed people gone to corporate jobs, it seems our independent thought has been lost as well. Now we are taught that we are expendable and only as important as your next big victory. Age and experience no longer respected but seen as a liability and excess cost. Perhaps if america wants to start winning again, we should remember the things that got us here in the first place.
[Lea Voda] - Writing from half way across the globe, I can assure all of you that the problem of looking down on manual labor is a world wide issue. In EU countries also rules the mass opinion that a 4 yr degree is the best way to go, allthough you can't find a job with it. I live in a countryside where people have farms and provide for their families and still push their teenagers to get into college and not get their hands dirty.
[Todd Sovern] - Yes yes hell yes
[Paul Nelson] - Been watching Bill locally for years. He gets it right 75% of the time. Not too shabby for a news GM.
[Kathi Blickley Levitzki] - Love you Mike Rowe, keep up all your good work!
[Robert King] - Way to go Mike! A level head and common sense. Kudos
[Mike Monahan] - Mike Rowe is the guy who always makes me proud to be an Eagle Scout.
[Barb Abernathy Hagan] - you're great Mike.
[Richard T Beery] - Mike Rowe, keep up all the good work... You ever need help just holler, it would be a honor...
[Sean Dougherty] - Mike for President... PLEASE
[Susan Olson] - Well, Mike, you deserved that POINT OF VIEW. We are dealing with someone who thinks a 4 year degree is the only thing and working with your hands is; not the path to take. Its a battle for sure.
[John Foster] - Hey! That's us in Louisville..
[Thor Foster] - When your picture appears at the post office, that's when you have to worry. ;)
[Elaina March] - Mike. Just run for president
[Mike McQuillen] - WDRB/WMYO are local channels for me. WDRB is a fox affiliate. Get to see him every night.
[Sharon Wolcott] - I couldn't agree more. I've always said sometimes you have to walk through fire and shake hands with the devil to get some things done. Well you are certainly doing just that. I think you are remarkable, and love the way you keep doing what you're doing no matter who's feelings you hurt. You are accomplishing so much, and I myself am so proud everytime I see a video like this. It tells me that people are listening. P.S. When I said shake hands with the "Devil" I wasn't referring to Maher or Beck personally. Just a figure of speech. I am proud of you Mike and I'm loving what you're doing.
[Jeff Gregory] - On the lighter side, it's nice to know they'll have this photo on file for when you finally snap and start running around smacking innocent bystanders with a gooey duck.
[Jason Forsmann] - Mike Rowe for EMPOROR!!!
[Christi Busack] - Bill Lamb is one of the greatest assets we have in Louisville. WDRB news is broadcast journalism at its finest.
[Corin M. Dickerson] - Such sound advice and common sense from Mike. One of my favorite public figures. Probably only second to Glenn Beck.
[Kevin Robinson] - This is so true. Training rather then a 4 year degree does seem to go farther as employers look for people with hands on experience over book smarts. Also do not over look the strength of military training many of my friends that have served in the military came back with training and experience in trades that landed them very well paying jobs.
[Trisha McDonald Smira] - Keep on doing what ya doing Mike!!! We need more like ya!! God bless you!
[Daniel Berkowitz] - Seriously Mike ... Maryland could use a guy like you in office in some capacity.
[Mark Merithew] - I think that Mike Rowe's popularity and likability comes well earned, I respect him as a performer and as a person because he's well...Mike Rowe.
[Jim Thomas] - Mike, you remind me of this great man.
[Rose Greaker] - Miiiikkkkeee! I heart you! Dirty Jobs Dude!
[Neal Sheppard] - Keep up the good fight sir! Let's take back our country!!
[Atlanta Owner] - Excellent commentary. I too want want you to be President. I also wanted you to adopt me, but I've thought about that and found it sounds rather odd.
[Cherryl Elam Zollars] - I wish there were more people with as much common sense as Mike Rowe! Washington would be a good place to start with that! But he is so correct about his work program and the things you can do with it! A much larger base to choose from, to start with! Yes, you have to actually work, but at the end of the day, you can feel much better about yourself knowing you've actually accomplished something and make a good living at the same time!!
[Jolene Witzel] - Those are words we all have been saying about you all along. Glad to see someone in a suit and tie agrees.
[William Smith] - Earnest goes to *****?
[Suzy Ott] - I agree with ya Mike!! Always have and just love you!!!
[Jeremy Casper] - That's hilarious. When I first saw this picture, my response, was... uh oh... WHAT HAPPENED?
[Julie Parece] - I saw this today!
[Kyle Adams] - I saw this the night he did it. I was really impressed with both of you all.
[Molly Young] - I adore JEFF LAMB, mike rowe, and ergo.. Bill Lamb!!
[Mike Junk] - I agree Mike Rowe. Most jobs don't require a 4 year degree. I learned to drive a truck 11 years ago. Now I have an $80,000/year local driving job. Trucking school at the time was less then $4000.
The Real Mike Rowe: I always used to think that a photo of me, positioned over the left shoulder of a newscaster we - 100th Comments
[Paula Wells Baxter] - Awesom commentary! Totally agree with you. WE don't have to agree with each other, but respect is necessary.
[Tim Paquin] - we need more men like you mike......total honor and respect
[Shannon Marie Conley] - X infinity and beyond
[Paula Hardin] - I don't know if Mike Rowe knows Jesus but it sure sounds like it.
[Karen Milliorn] - Mike Rowe for President!
[Eileen Triest Knapik] - Oh wow! Please spread the word! So wonderful! Getting past the great divide that is now America!
[Laura Zombolo Foster] - Mike Rowe you rock my world!
[Robert David Harmon] - Nothing but respect for you and Mr. Lamb both...both of you show that hard work and persistence will be rewarded and looked up to!
[Lizz Ramsdell Kresconko] - Thanks Mike, we only find out how important trades people are, is when they AREN'T there anymore !!!!!
[Wendy Conderman] - Mike why cant we have more people like you in politic and not the morons we have!!!!
[Sandra Quin Heaslet] - Just found your TED Talk from 2009 last night. Good stuff!! Keep it up!!!
[Jennifer C. Boyce] - Thank you Mike, for standing up for the hard workers in this country. You are making a difference and its not going unnoticed* Your my fav*
[Kristina Adkins-Gibson] - Love it! So true! Loveeee me some Mike Rowe!
[Kathleen Coleman] - I just attended a work seminar that was lamenting getting people interested in working in utility trades. Linemen, Welders, etc. They can earn up to a $100,000/year without attending college! Go Mike Rowe!
[Shane Bullock] - Well said, I hope Mike's message continues on
[Jeff Hanson] - Mike Row for Congress, the Senate, President & Supreme Court. Can one guy hold all those "Dirty" Jobs in his lifetime? Well Mike, you'd better get a move on it!
[Anne Mella] - I need to find out more about Bill Lamb-a newscaster who is not afraid to tell the truth and make intelligent observations. Thanks Mike!
[Gwen Hubert] - I agree Bill Lamd!!
[Silver Bambi] - Mike your FaceBook is probably, no definitely, the best reason to even be on FB! I get so much out of each of your valuable posts! Thank You and keep it coming!
[Christian Schanie] - Louisville baby!!
[Bob Ulrich] - Common sense is making a comeback...keep moving forward Mike, you have the support and its growing everyday...now is the time for you to tell us what we can do for you...the power of the people needs to show the rest the WE the People run our country.
So what can I do...?
[Johnnie Renee Martinez] - Can you help my son? He needs to learn a skill. Hes had brain surgery from eplipisy. I don't want him to be on disability.
[Arnie Berg] - Thanks Mike... Get er done!
[Brandon Clark] - Rowe for president
[Dave McAdoo] - Yeah, Mike you owe him one OK, but your message deserves promotion like this.
[Scott Marshall] - i agree and i love mike rowe and i also feel there are very few jobs that require a degree on the job training is much better you can read to a man for four years and lecture him about swimming but until you throw his ass into the river hes never gonna no the fear of drowning
[Sheryl Bos Colburn] - Uhh love love mike r.
[James Sinks] - We love you here in Louisville Mr. Mike Rowe
[Cynthia J Emery Weaver] - Bill Lamb is one really cool guy. We love him here in Louisville Kentucky
[Cindy Anne Fehrenbach Riachi] - Harbinger of doom-Hee! Hee!
[Sandra Houle] - my daughter is 20yrs old and is going to school to be a mechanic she loves it and i couldn't be prouder
[Katy Sieve Johnson] - Wow. No other words. Congrats to a 'real man'.
[Patrick Harvey] - My home news station!!!
[Patricia Lyle] - Rock it Bill. Lap it up Mike!!!!
[Tim Doyle] - Really Nice Mike! That $20.00 that you paid Bill Lamb really paid off!! :<)
[Susan Wizniak] - Am reposting to share the common sense!
[Art Zasadny] - Short but sweet!!
[Chad Howard] - Bill Lamb is a very nice man
[Dana Nicole Shaw Dunlap] - Great Louisville journalism!!
[Steve Wood] - YEAH!! Right here in Louisville, Ky! Bill has it right!
[Shannon Haden Galley] - Nice. Almost as smart as you are!
[Chuck Bishop] - Out(bleep)ingstanding!
[Leigh Anne Price Gatewood] - Proud to be from Louisville. Mr. Lamb has wonderful commentaries, including this one. You rock Mike! Love a person who are themselves despite the way society says you should choose.
[LeAnne Hardeman] - Mike,
Kentuckiana (aka the Louisville metro area) is proud to have been the originating spot for this fine commentary!!! We love you!!!!
[Phil Hendrickson] - I actually submitted a write-in vote for Mike Rowe last POTUS election. Glad to see some others feel the same way.
[Janice Gillies Camacho] - Agree 100% with Mike Rowe's philosophy!
[David Villada] - Mike Rowe is awesome, he should at some point run for president.
[Marsha Neal Minutella] - Couldn't agree more! College is not for everyone. But everyone should learn a trade (even a glimpse at a trade). Finish HS, do your best, get to work and learn there. Then decide if you need college & that debt... Keep up the good work Mike! Thank You!!!
[Dwayne Rice] - Wish we could get Mike Rowe to come talk to our ACE Students!!
[Angie Thompson Spies] - Well said Bill :)
The Real Mike Rowe: I always used to think that a photo of me, positioned over the left shoulder of a newscaster we - 150th Comments
[Kathy McKiernan Lang] - Bill Lanb has a lot of common sense...i always value his opinion.
[Ryan G. Murphy] - I doubt Lamb looks at it as if "you owe him one. " He seem relieved to report on someone with common sense.
[Darlene Williams] - Keep up the great work Mike - don't let the naysayers hold you down!
[Suzy Perry Weinrich] - Thanks for continuing your promotion of working hard and smart. I grew up on a farm, no one worked harder than my Dad or Mom for that matter. We were fortunate to have been raised with good work ethic. I was a stay at home Mom til our daughter graduated. I then went to work as a receptionist, and 28 years later, I am still there as the Executive Assistant to our Operations VP. I think it had much more to do with being willing to do whatever it took to get the job done as I attended college for a year and then found a job and didn't make it back for my degree. Regrets? Not me, it is a good life. Thanks for all you do. You deserve the great press.
[Eliezer Torres-Realtor] - Mike,
You're doing an awesome job. I truly wish you could sit down with some of our nation's leaders and show them the ropes.
As a Realtor, who prior to pursuing my Real Estate career, spent 4 years in a University, I am testimony of how this works. I know many people who are unemployed or being forced to move far from their family and friends in search of a career in their field. Meanwhile all around them there are thousands of jobs available, with good pay and benefits requiring only a 1 year degree or even less.
Keep it up brother!
[Chris Harper] - Alot of jobs don't even require trade school Mr. Rowe im in full agreement of you and your view, not to strike an argument but by promoting this view in such a broad subject don't you think that will drive people to go as far as piloting a plane or becoming a nurse practitioner wont require a degree. I mean I know its a kind of far fetched theory but there are people out there that will argue over that point and its mostly just to argue. But eventually some one will give into that argument and put someone totally unqualified for that job and end up putting people's lives in danger because of their lack of schooling. Don't you think that some jobs will require extensive training and school to even be considered ready to work in the field of occupation.
[Sara Walker Sherman] - Only bad when the pic includes your inmate number below your mug ...
[Michelle Eckerson] - Haha that's awesome
[Katie Johnson] - That's my local news!! All of Bill Lamb's editorials are spot on.
[Patrick Watts] - How can you associate with TV people?? :-O :)
[Bobby Douglas] - You did good Mike. Keep it up brother.
[Nancy DeCowsky] - Right on, Mike. Love ya.
[Holly RennerMom Renner] - Good job Mike! Can u come speak at my sons school?
[Lindy Ebbs] - come to Louisville to visit your new pal Bill and I will buy you dinner :)
[Ícaro V. D. Fonseca] - you Rowe him one
[Shane Singleton] - Agreed. Well said. And Truth.
[Mike Puglisi] - Did conservatives really flip out when he went on bill maher? I'd like to see some examples.
[Rachael Morford] - Mike Rowe, you are the sexiest man alive. Not only are you handsome, you are smart and funny. Mike Rowe for President!!! ;)
[Greggery Kunkle] - Very cool! Good for you Mr Rowe!
[Andrea McCullough Alexander] - So right on, love it.
[Bernadette Hillman] - I love Bill Lamb's commentary.
[Lynne Marie Broman] - I miss u when r u going to start a show your humor is like mine n i miss my hysterical laughter
[Michael Sheridan] - How much did the Glenn Beck thing help or hurt you?
[Elaine Barber] - I've said for years that one day the elite will be in a world of poop, when all the plumbers are gone!
[Tish Curtis Simmons] - Our whole gov't needs to be~~ "Like Mike" ~ hard working and not afraid to get their hands dirty. EXCEPT most of their ideas of "Dirty" means corruption, lies, cheating, stealing, you know what I 'm talking about. We need real men and women in the White House, that have values, ok we need it world wide ! "LIKE MIKE"
[Michael A. Watkins] - Excellent post on you Mike...you ARE the man...
[Freedom Ride TV] - Keep it up Mike, we are with you.
[Sally Barry] - always good to see Mike Rowe on my FB <3
[EJ Sotelo] - Whats the name of your party Mike? I'll vote for you
[Larry Csehil] - Try to find a GOOD welder under the age of 50. Good luck. Thanks Mike.
[Rebecca Esparza] - Sounds funny, but I'd vote for him! ;)
[Ron Polvi] - I agree with mike you don't need college to become great
[Angela Hale] - "I always used to think that a photo of me, positioned over the left shoulder of a newcaster wearing a suit and tie, would be a harbinger of certain doom. " Really? I always thought it was inevitable. :-P
[Gayle Neely] - Mike Rowe for President and Mike Holmes for Vice President....Make it right!!
[Chris Guziczek] - Mike, the dirtiest job in this country is a politician you should do that for a day and see how well you do haha.
[Kyle Bell] - I'll second that! Rowe for pres!
[Scott Isaacs] - Hey The Real Mike Rowe I just thought I would say, keep up the good work sir! I completely agree with your message... I don't have a four year degree, yet I have gone very far on hardwork, determination, networking, and god-given talent.
BTW I work for WDRB's competition in Louisville, but still thought this was a very good editorial.
[Steve Maxedon] - Mike, I am with you. Stay on point and be who you are.
[Rhonie Briley] - I think some of my friends have known this for a very long time.
[Ellen Van Horn Nothstine] - Great Job Mike, please run for President!
[Carol Hobbs Burke] - Bill summed it up really well!
[Dennis Lincks] - Well said! Many jobs that "require" a colleged degree can be done just as well, or even better, by some one that has never been to college.
[Patricia Marie] - Way to go, Bill Lamb.....
[Donna Erskine] - He says exactly how I feel! That is my point of view :)
[Carrie Gaudette] - Awesome I love Mike Rowe!!!
[Jason Sharp] - Way to lead the way Mike.
[Jeff Kelso] - You are the man, Mike Rowe!!!
[Bob Spence] - Living here in Louisville we see a lot of Bill Lamb and his commentary's and most seem to be what I would like to say about subjects.
[Shannon Marie Conley] - I have a point of view too.
[Nancy Claussen Real Estate] - Now this is smart thinking

[Kerry R. Moore] - Common sense. I like it.
[Dave Alderfer] - Unfortunately, your message was too late for me Mike. I graduated over 3 and a half years ago and still have over 100k in debt from my four year degree. This debt has left me feeling crippled and stuck; with a dismal outlook for a decent paying job, a debt-free future seems more and more unattainable. Why does it feel like I've made a huge mistake!
[Jessica Milo] - Loved it Mike :)
[Rick Lucas] - There's a very good point in this editorial about what The Real Mike Rowe is doing. It's worth seeing. Click "see more" in Mike's OP to see the video .
[Jay Hannibal] - Mike Rowe = Common Sense
[Marty Wolff] - TREMENDOUS commentary! Hey Mike would love to have you on my Business Builders radio show to spread the word!
[Kathleen O'Neal Bearden] - Mike, you are an inspiration! You have the ears of many parents but I sure wish our young people could hear your message more often! My 1st qtr college tuition was $176 (yes it was within the last 100 years!); my son's first semester was over $2400! Crazy! Will he use all the 'core' classes he has to take.... I doubt it! Carry on, Mike!! I'm still a fan!
[Michele Narcavage] - The word is getting out Mike. Other people are starting to notice what we already know and love about you. Cheers!
[Bert McCarty] - I think Cindy has a crush! (...how cute, in an elementary school kind of way.)
[Becky Suzy Smith Spargo] - This is on target!
[Dave Muessel] - He (and Mike Rowe) is by far the most correct in creating a realistic vision for our future.
[Cindy Perkins Hino] - Well said Mike and Bill!
[Julie Clikeman Roe] - Interesting comments. Is it true that conservatives "blasted you for appearing on Bill Maher's show"? I guess I saw the liberals howling and disavowing any support for you & your organization because of your appearance on Glenn Beck's show, but I never saw anything other than a couple of groans from the conservative side. I'd be interested to see if there was equal criticism on both sides
