[Kristina Lynn] - It is, as long as she donates it all to charities upon her death. She could do a lot of good with that money!
[Maureen Monica] - Awe it's fair! They can leave it to their kids.
[Jason Cruz] - Sometimes , but fair is fair
[Lynda McPartlan] - No, they should donate it to me so I can vacation for life ;-)
[Kari Kimmel Guffey] - Not our judgement call. Her lucky dollar won it.
[Sarah Uff] - I am happy for her! I hope she enjoys it all! God Bless her!
[Maria Guzman-Hulse] - But their family in their Will will lol
[Angela M Iacono] - At least they would die happy!
[Leigh Brooks White] - The senior citizen may not, but her family sure can!!
[Kimberly Garray Rossi] - Is it fair that movie stars & spits stars get the million they do & waste it on frivolous things???
[Kayla Servant] - I don't understand why everyone is being so mean about this!!! haters!!!!
[Nicki Carroll] - They can leave into their family!
[Meg MSenecal] - And would it hurt her to give some to the woman she went ahead of in line to get the ticket? :)
[Sarah Woodall DeLong] - This woman that lived through the Depression, World War II. I'm sure she's had so many hard times in her life. She deserves something to make her last days fun and easy. Good for her!
[Dennis Schroeder] - Totally fair but her family better be watching out for her. There will be so many people after her money.
[Zandra Rios-Martinez] - Yep all is fair. Trust fund babies!!!!
[Lauren Conley] - I can't believe you guys are having this convo. Especially since you are doing interviews in your BMW
[Tara Kaye Alava] - Her kids should have no problem helping her!
[Megan Farrington] - I think it's great she won!! And idk who just said it but I think it was skeery or Greg - Soc. security is NOTHING to live on!!!! She may be getting a check every month but a lot of times that can barely cover any expenses!
[Lesley Johnston] - and it is easier for creeps and scammers to take advantage - and the long lost family members who come out of the woodwork
[Chris Bailey] - congratulations to HER!!! MAYBE SHE DESERVES IT! WHO KNOWS WHAT SHE WENT THRU IN HER LIF
[J Jess Jessi Abalos] - OMG they probably went through hell all their lives and deserve it more than anyone else!
[David Smith] - Better than some 20 year old little punk that will blow it all
[Elizabeth Morris] - Yes, she won. Age doesn't matter.
[Matt Hanzel] - It's a game of chance, it's never fair. So the winner is lucky and deserves it regardless of age
[Lacie Collins] - im glad she won. shes probably worked her for her life, and this is a good reward...better tthan some young thug winning....
[Amanda Tetro] - Of course! They can use it to do something they had always wanted to do, but couldn't afford. They could spend the rest of their retirement anywhere in the world. They could pass it on to their kids.
[Laura Ramirez] - Very bad discussion. Ugly ugly ugly!!!
[April Thompson] - Yes!!! Maybe they've struggles all of their lives and can at least be comfy until the end. If they won, it's theirs!!
[April Jucaban] - yes!! people that calling and pissed about it are jealous and that's why they don't win
[Sarah Cavill] - I hope she's giving some money to the chump that let her cut in line. You should never be nice in a lotto line!
[Ellen Mitchell] - Their age demographic are the only ones that consistently buy lotto tickets so why not, they can leave it to their kids or a charity.
[Tara Kyle] - Of course it's fair, they bought the ticket. And even if they can't spend it all I'm sure they have loved ones they would leave it to!
[Heather Seel] - She probably played the lotto her whole life...now she can die peacefully...and rich! :)
[Erika Mauro] - Absolutely... noone knows her journey in life.. or her longevity... good for her
[Leta Cabell] - Wow, lots of vicious haters on the radio....besides this talk will never have any of u winning a lottery bad karma
[Misty Alvarez] - Yes, they worked their entire lives & paved the way for the rest of us!
[Yomar Vazquez] - Yes ... Lottery is about luck ... Yes I'm glad for her
[Kate Antos Schneider] - Yes they have the money to buy it, they should be able to win it. People should not hate her but be nice to her and maybe she will give back to them;)
[Mandy Suero] - Their family would be the ones to really benefit.... all is fair.
[Jonathan Torres] - Funny is that if that was ones grandmother or family member we would be thinking totally different about her. They will eventually pass the funds, just hope it's to the right family members.
[Meghan Benson Oh] - She could of had a crappy life and now could get to enjoy the last years of her life.... Be happy for her people!
[Adreanne Greenawalt] - But their children and grandchildren will be set for a long time.
[Jill Bryson] - The people that say she shouldn't win make me sick! The ones saying she is going to die next year so why should she get it. She has a family! I agree with elvis on this one.
[Zayda Aviles] - Yes they will be able to spend it...you know family are like leeches when it comes to money. Relatives will start coming out if the woodworks.
[Michael K. Bogle] - I will call her mama.
[Jason Garland] - It's fine she won as long as she was not rich before
[Denise Tavernier Rossetti] - News reported she moved to fl with her husband from Maine and her husband passed.. The news also showed how crappy her house looks so good for her and her family!
[Daniel Flores] - No...they shouldnt f$&k'n play
[Kathryn Schlanger] - Yes that is amazing! If she is anything like my grandpa who lived in Florida she would be buying a Bentley convertible and a yacht.
Elvis Duran Show: Is it fair when someone who is a senior citizen wins the lottery? They'll never be able to spen - 50th Comments
[Chris Levendosky Feher] - She's elderly and probably racking up medical bills. Now she can actually pay for them.
[Kristin Kelly] - Elvis I agree with you!
[Christine Cavalli Modelfino] - I say congrats to her!!!
[Jill Haupt] - She won the money it doesn't matter how old she is. Its hers to do with what she wants. Shame on all you haters. It basically all comes down to jealousy she won nobody else did.
[Anabel Fernandez] - Yes it is fair! She deserves it just as much as anyone else. Maybe she's a great person and had good karma coming, or family members who need it.
[Tim Troutman] - Who cares how old she can. Maybe skeery Jones should hit her up for a new Mercedes.
[Violet Rogers] - she can use for bills medicine she needs
[Tony Cristoforo] - what if it was YOUR grandmom?
[Sandy Linsalata] - Of course it's fair. I just hope she doesn't have rotten kids. The ticket was bought in the next town over from me. Dammit, so close
[Wendy Blauvelt] - Leave her alone.....this Is clearly the best thing that could ever happen to anyone she may have grown up for and this will give her the chance to do things she's never done before... Now she can travel not have to worry about her kids or any family member and who knows she may be able to bless other people with this money. Who knows now she might be able to fulfill dreams and wishes she may never have had the opportunity to do!!!
[Kaitlyn Tanke] - Everyone who's mad is just jealous that they didn't win. It's a LOTTERY. She has a right to win too. =/
[Heather LaRuez] - Its a waste of.winning lol. Hope they give it.to younger family members
[Erika Kramer Bloomhuff] - This is ridiculous, I don't care how old she is, she WON! She should be able to spend the rest of her life in luxury, because I'm sure it hasnt been luxury up til now! Good for her and I hope she enjoys EVERY penny!!!!'n
[Leta Cabell] - Now it would be nice if she gave the woman that let her in front if her a few million
[Andrea Mortonson] - It is only unfair if she was rich if she is not rich then she deserves it
[Ashley Hallas] - They probably have been playing lotto their entire life waiting on that! It should not matter if they are a senior citizen, especially if they paid their DUES like everyone else who constantly plays lotto! Im happy for them if they win, that's great!
[Tommee Boom] - And spend it on large quantities of toilet paper and mayonnaise from Costco
[Eric Trinidad Monterrey] - God bless her :) I'm so grateful that the money went to someone who need it most and will be able to enjoy the rest of her life with piece
[Aimee Morabito] - It's amazing that this lady one. She probably struggled her whole life. At 84, she finally gets to live. Live it up lottery lady!
[Sonia Ramos Pugliese] - That's why most of the time they take someone with them and share it or they should make a will give it to family members
[Kristina Wampler] - Would a normal age person every really be able to spend over 500 million dollars in their life time?? Only if they live super laviously could they even come close to spending that much. So I dont think it really matters the age when it comes to THAT amount of money!
[Harlon Tyree] - She changed her family tree and I'm sure her family loves her for that.
[Sue Bond Mertens] - She must have a family to leave it to, they will enjoy her winnings!
[Pepito Go] - Fair: everyone old or young deserves to live the dream.
[Lis Roblez] - Yes, is fair.. They can leave it to their families plus all their medical and funeral bill will be paid. Lmao..all their debts will be paid.. Is already bad enough to suffer their death.. At least all is paid and we have money left too.
[Dorothy Reynolds Westley] - Maybe she will who knows?
[Leslie Ann Clas] - Omg listening to u guys on iheart in the Bronx while on the bus to work! I laughed so hard at this discussion that everyone stared at me like a weirdo for laughing so loud! Love u guys!
[Molly Dodge-Feichtner] - I hope she has her casket lined with what she doesn't spend and takes it with her!!
[Vanessa Cordo] - People can live to 100. My own family members are all in their 90s and the burden falls on the children. I'm sure family, friends and many charities will benefit from an elderly person winning rather than a young person who would probably splurge on materialistic crap with the money. I'm with Elvis and Bethany. Greed and jealousy is not pretty!
[Mike Sixx] - COMPUTERS CAN NOT GENERATE RANDOM NUMBERS
[Jessica Dawn] - Everything happens for a reason. You never know what good that money may do after she passes.
[Eric Trinidad Monterrey] - Peace! Damn auto correct
[Raquel Rodriguez Perez] - Listening to all these jealous people really makes me sad. There is no reason why anyone should be so upset. She has a family, she could donate some to charity, help her community out, etc. People these days are just so mean and greedy that it's pretty sad. She could be your grandma!!!!
[Vicky Hudson McQuiggan] - Fair? Who said life was fair? She played, she won. With the odds of winning, it certainty isn't our judgement call.
[Melissa Sherrer] - Some senior citizens have to choose between buying their prescriptions and food because they don't have money. I say good for her!!!
[Tori Swanson] - It is great, they can leave a better life for their family. Congrats to her.
[Marlene Seiner] - She bought the ticket with her money and God bless
[John Blanchard] - More for the kids than!
[Lacey May Lyons] - I think you're all being a bunch of jerks! You know nothing of her and she very well could have spent her whole life doing good things for others. None the less she deserves it as anyone else deserved it. Its the luck of the draw and that day was her lucky day!
[Jessica Tassone] - I agree with Elvis. Maybe she needs it for transplants debt or something. Most grandparents would hand it out to those that really need it and are less selfish and more realistic. I say go grandma
[Alejandro E. Ayala] - But hopefully they have family I don't think one would be that greedy.
[Kristin Kelly] - No matter who would of won people always hate!!!! Get over it.. All of you people who are hating are still broke and hating :)
[Tara Kennedy-Kline] - Just think of all the new friends she'll have now! And they'll be "real" friends too...I'm sure of it!
[John Gallagher] - *goes and buys 500 Bugatti veyron ss's lol
[Katie Camarda] - Most older people do play the lottery a lot more then us single moms..bless that little old lady. ..it's all about luck
[Iveth G Montenegro] - Shame on all this people who said something negative. That's the reason this world is the way it is, can we be happy about other people's happiness.
[Heather Houghton] - Yeah Most ppl would have spent it all on drugs and booze!
[Christen Pond] - Absolutely it's fair. It doesn't matter if you're 84 or you're 21 you never know when that day is coming so why not be able to have that money 84. It can benefit her family her grandchildren etc. I mean come on give me a break you never know when your last day is so why not enjoy life while you're here.
[Shannon Scanlan] - I think it is fair...what they don't spend anyway will go to the great grandchildren and grandchildren...the people that bitch about it, well that's their problem...just jealous that it wasn't them
[Angie Clute Woge] - I'm not mad that she won the lottery, good for her. My issue is why is it always a senior citizen and not a younger person who wins?
Elvis Duran Show: Is it fair when someone who is a senior citizen wins the lottery? They'll never be able to spen - 100th Comments
[Toddand Violet Arnold] - Y'all are HATERS, jealous and need jesus! Anyone can win and you shouldn't be so negative.
[Mark Zarrella] - Absolutely, this way they can will it to the younger generation.
[Christopher F Cheney] - not sure it also seem that elderly people win the lottery when there many people who should win and deserved it.
[Becky Eaton] - Yes! Good for her! She took a chance just like everyone else and she won! We dont know how she plans to spend money! We dont know what her life has been like and if this has changed things for her and her family! Go granny! Now she can play lots of bingo!!:)
[Ashleigh Lynn] - These ppl should be ashamed of themselves for the coments there making
[Kaleena Leonard] - Of course it is fair lol. She paid for her ticket like everyone else did! She was just lucky enough to win!
[Nicole Moore] - I say good for her because she's from my home state. People are just jealous
[Olivia Evans] - Of course its fair!
[Simona Tews-Iturriaga] - Fair no , but Bad karma maybe , because that's just a tease
[Brianna Nicole LaVecchia] - No, but she can adopt me if she'd like!!!!
[Vickie Watson] - of course it is. eveyone should be able to buy ticket. she deserves just as a 21 winner would.
[Erica M. Lewis] - The lottery isn't meant to be fair. Congratulations to the winner, no matter their situation. If this were your grandma, you'd want her to feel secure financially. Hopefully The stress of the hate towards this poor woman doesn't cause her to enjoy fewer years of her life. I'm so disappointed by the "haters".
[Bill Barba] - It's a once in a lifetime chance to win the lottery ( if that). As long as you are alive you can win it. Also the joy of spoiling others with the money because you know the end will be sooner than later makes many happy. Just wishing I was the winners grandson right about now
[Amanda Koop] - You dont know they wont spend it. They could spend their retired years living their dream with money they were not expecting they would of had. They could travel the world. They could leave it for their grandchildren. So I think it is a little biased by saying they will never spend it in their lifetime... They could live to be 100. I love your show but that comment is not fair.
[Sara Morgan] - I think it's very fair she can spend it on ppl she love
[Daniel Maddox] - Of course it's fair. She bought her ticket just like the rest of us.
[Stephanie Bacon] - who cares how she is, or how she spends it she paid for her ticket she won its her money. rich people play the lottery and win when they dont need the money but they still play. she has a child she probably has grandchildren, she might have things shes wanted to do her whole life and now she will get to do them, and even if she wanted to be buried with all her money its her perogative.
[Beth Vogel] - They can make a better life for their children or grandchildren. Or they can donate it to a hospital or something for new equipment and save thousands of lives. Age does not matter.
[Jagoda Siembida] - I can't believe what I hear right now on the radio. You made me mad a little. Its not fair what you say she had a right to win and good for her! Why do you even talk about it on the radio? I'm turning the radio off :). Have a great dat people!
[Chris Tina] - No one's life is guaranteed so it shouldn't matter!!
[Cassie Baker] - Depends.... is this senior citizen my grandparent??? !!! Haha
[Dana Reilly] - I AGREE WITH YOU ELVIS! Plus she probably has a POA anyway ;-)
[Bart Bee] - I would say BURN THEM ! and take away their money
[Cathy Acosta] - It's not fair that she's not my grandma! :-P
[Katie Bisson] - Most people have enough family to share it with that a couple generations will be taken care of for life. Unless they're some greedy asshole.
[Tommy Buoy] - It is fair ! Maybe she was a single mother , or maybe she was war veteran ? It is totally ok , i don't have this money and i fill good that she won . Peace everybody !
[Lindsay Nelson] - SO TRUE! and it always seems that older people win!
[Margaret Valenti- Sovinsky] - I feel terrible for the gentleman that let her cut in line at Publix to buy her ticket!! I have been in that publix in Zephyrhills Florida..god bless her and I am sure she will do the right thing. She wouldnt show her face on TV yesterday. Her lawyer showed up for her!! Smart move!!
[Tereza Marks] - I actually feel sorry for her . How many friends relatives and others are going to try to take advantage of her now? How much strife is this going to cause among her heirs? I would guess like most it will be a curse and not a blessing
[Shelly Taberski] - Absolutely it's fair! I was thrilled to learn an 84 year old lady was the big winner!
[Amber Hooper] - first off, stupid question. second, life's not fair. If you buy a ticket you have as much right as anyone else. I mean maybe grandma and pappy will get to take a dream vacation they never got to have. then they can die happy.
[Shiena Hadley] - Fair! SSI does not pay enough for medical bills and she can set up trust funds for schooling for grandkids and not have to worry about family after she passes on
[Laura Gilliam Smith] - Remember in Bruce almighty where 1000's of people won the lottery and they only got $17 dollars each or something
[Rebecca Kaminski] - I think it is what if they use that money to help others out put that money to the future of their grand kids why wouldn't it be it's not fare to say they can't win they spent their money to win it let them have it.
[Sharron Fortier] - A winner does not have to be young. She won! End of story.
[Jazmin Luna] - I don't think it's fair lol no jk.... but at least she has something to leave behind to her family when she passes so good for her and her family! Wish them the best!
[Aleshia Mercatante] - To all of you haters ... Betcha you'd have a different outlook if it were your GM ...
[Dana Watson] - An elderly person is good especially if that person has had a struggle their entire life, now finally have something ..not to mention the fact that now, when she could afford to be cared for in her home rather than in a nursing home... and still have something to give as an inheritance
[Eva Eagles] - I work at a dentist office in a community of predominantly senior citizens. Some are well into their 80s & 90s. Many are independent & still driving. They mostly are living on a limited income & crappy insurance. That woman could live another 20 years. Good for her!!! She can live very comfortable for the rest of her life!!!
[Candy Orton Ely] - Yes its fair. Its a lottery! Random. No matter your age, who wouldnt want to leave money to provide for their family, friends, and charities... Really people, are we that jaded and selfish these days, that we cant be happy for this woman.?
[Marc Brown] - YES its Fair. Its called a lottery. Whats to say I play and win but die the next week. The only one its not fair to is me LOL
[Rachel Manders] - I don't care if you're four. If you spend $390 million in your lifetime then you're a greedy bastard. Elderly people are people more likely to do good with it, as well as pass it down to their kids and grandkids.
[Margo Ling] - absolutely fair. Whatever she doesn't spend can be left to relatives or a charity.
[Ashley Hughes] - it's still fair! They had the winning ticket!! And they could leave trust funds to their grandchildren!
[Kerstin Joyce] - If they won, fare n square....it is,what it is
[Chuck Hutchins] - I'm sure her kids will soak it up from her!
[Charlotte Walbrecht] - Very fair! I am sure she earned it! Bravo! :)
[David Flores] - Public got 40000
[James Burnett] - they should give it to there grand kids!!
[Deevy Volpe] - I'm sure she has a family that will enjoy it for many years to come.
Elvis Duran Show: Is it fair when someone who is a senior citizen wins the lottery? They'll never be able to spen - 150th Comments
[Mary Miranda] - If u play & win doesn't matter age, race rich or poor. People will always complain even when they don't play
[Jamie Ferst] - Single moms shouldn't be spending there money on gambling. They should be spending it on their kids so yea
[Danielle Dantine] - Of course it is. They can gift or leave it to someone who can.
[Jessica Glover Lamagna] - If they use some then give the rest away that's fine
[Essie McFarlane] - its fair. what's not fair is that someone who is already well to do wins the lottery where as people who really need it don't have a chance in hades.
[Diana Tobey Walker] - I agree with Elvis it was a random draw doesn't matter what number you were in line and what is the matter with us so what if she's eighty something. If it was a 30 rich something we would be just as annoyed
[Tiffany Walker] - I think it's fair, the only thing I don't like or think is fair is when sex offenders win, now that makes me mad
[Brittany Marston] - Im happy she won. Ive seen my grandparent s struggle with there medicine for years and im sure she has too.
[Justine Berger] - I say its one of them guys tickets and they got her to say its hers because if I'm right in Florida u don't pay much or none at all I'm not sure which one it is but I think its one of them guys ticket
[Massiel Cuellar] - I kinda agree its unfair to a point but the lottery is random so yeah its technically fair. I don't like that Florida law makes u appear in public to accept the money. They are forcing lottery winners to risk their lives.
[Barry Wolk] - What a stupid thread. Age requirement on lottery winnings? What's next?
[Janet Watson-Eckl] - Sure, it isn't about age. She paid to play and was much luckier than I was. I hope she enjoys everyday that she has left on this earth!
[Adam Wirth] - It is fair because when she dies that money will get spread out to more people
[Jennifer Herrion] - I do think it sucks because it seems like the senior citizens are always winning it, but I guess they are the ones who are playing. I would play if I thought I could actually win, but I barely have money as it is, I can't afford to waste money thinking I MAY win someday (though the payout would be nice!)
[Stephanie Ivers] - I almost turned off the radio. If my grandma won she would leave it to all of her grandchildren who have many years to live. I can't believe how mean everyone is being
[Jamie Moroughan-Goodrich] - That's why you should be nice to old people... listen to the country song... (god is great beer is good, people are crazy) it's about some guy befriends an old guy at a bar. never sees him again, til he opens the newspaper and sees his face he was a millionare. The old guy left the man his fortune and left his kids nothing. ;)
[Jason Santino] - It's fair they can pass it on to their children n family
[Cheryl Hahn Walge] - She finally finally found the GOLD in the golden years! <3
[Danyelle Mastrangelo] - So it's fair for her to play so you can win and take her money? But it's not fair that she can play and win everyone's money? Interesting
[Charlotte Walbrecht] - For all those against the elderly lady winning......remember that will be you one day if you make it that long! :/
[Brittany Turner] - And while you're at it, to hell with medicare, social security, organ transplants, specialized medicine, prescription programs, etc. They're hurtling toward death anyway, why prolong the inevitable? WOW. :P
[Julie Rogers] - Who cares of they can't spend it? That lady won it fair and square. Its a shame there are so many haters out there.
[Sarah Greene] - Yes it's fair! She won the money, there is no age limit on the lottery, maybe she has 15 grand kids, be nice!
[Diana Tobey Walker] - No wonder people say winning ruins their life. We don't know anything about her and people hate her
[Lisa Bale Hekter] - Yes....she can take care of her son and family. That will make her feel at ease. I would feel great knowing that I knew that they were set. Karma people.....remember that!!!!
[Angie Cotto Cassel] - She work hard all her life to put food on the table raise her kids n probably went through hardships I'm glad she won
[Crystal Kersey] - It is what it is. Their heirs will be very well off
[Dania Chaviano] - All is far who are we to judge.... Old people have kids and grandkids to splurge on.
[Kenya Hall] - It's probably going to go in their wills and be disbursed amongst their children/grandchildren or charity.
[Megan Hicks] - Yeah!!! Then their family can inherit it!!
[Alba Miqueo] - FYI she is sharing the winnings with her son. Besides who cares how she spends it or not. She won great for her.
[Joanna Ramos] - It's definitely fair.. How dare they get mad bc of her age.. Had it been their grandmother they would be ecstatic.. In order to win you have to play, so don't sit here and complain when you don't play! I'm happy for her, I wish her the best.. She has children and grandchildren she can leave money to them..
[Carmen Martinez] - It's nice that she does not have to worry about money for the duration of her life and I'm sure she will make sure her family is comfortable. What does her age matter.
[Brigitte Bowers] - I say good for her! The comment about her receiving social security, really? Has anyone figured theirs out its not the greatest amount to live off of. Not to mention if she's on any medications, some meds can run 500-1000$/month for some people, because Medicare or private insurances don't always cover them. It's a lottery, it's the chance you take.
[Larry Kiddey] - they bought the ticket so yes.
[KyleNikki Jackson] - It sucks but there is nothing unfair about it.
[Christine Marie] - If they win fair and square, yes
[Kathy South] - I wouldn't mind if my grandmother won.... I think it would be AWESOME... What she can't spend I'd def make good use of.... What does age have to do with it anyways? Should we limit the age now??
[Jaimie Wadkins] - They may give it to charity or pay all their grand kids way to college!
[Ericka Swafford] - Pisses me off!!!!!
[Don DT Bartram] - Stash it in accounts for relatives. Spend like crazy now
[Cynthia Sanchez] - She won it fair and square! She can enjoy it while she still can and do all the things she always wanted to do... It's never too late! There is no age limit.
[Sue Pascale Delia] - Yes y not just give it to ur kids
[Katy Yanda] - This woman my be 84 but you don't know how old she acts! She could act like a 40 year old! Not that it matters because there is nothing you can do about. And how many people have won the lottery and spent it in ridiculous ways. I'm happy for this woman:)
[Heather Lapinski Kelley] - We should be happy for her and her family. This money will take a huge burden off her and the family when she can no longer take care of herself. Private nurses/caretakers and good reputable nursing homes are extremely expensive. I think we all would like our mother or grandmother well taken care of in their golden years.
[Tonda Johnson] - Being greatful for seeing 83 years old, and choosing to Donate to the many less fortunate, like homeless /hunger shelters, rape crises centers, YMCA, and youth organizations, and city community agencies, or donate to some colleges or Unversities to help a few struggling students pay for tuition! They are the ones who would really apprectiate them.!~
[Erika Perez Bailey] - They worked their whole lives... yes its fair that they can enjoy their last years doing whatever they would like and whatever is left over is for their families. ...
[Tawana Calixte] - What radio station are yu guys on in Georgia now ? Someone helppp
[Matthew Zell] - Why can't they set up their loved ones? Haters!
[Sonia Munoz] - I'm glad she won. What a way to end your life :)
Elvis Duran Show: Is it fair when someone who is a senior citizen wins the lottery? They'll never be able to spen - 200th Comments
[Jesse Mevec] - I was listening to the show this morning and sounds like a room full of jealous people. Keep your mind open. You don't know what she is going to do with that money. She is more likely to give it away then a younger person who won. Also older people have debt too and might not want to leave it to their children.
[Cherry De Jesus] - She bought the ticket...fair enough to me.
[Jessica Doyle] - Go to I heart radio u can select any state/city. In ct it's KC101.3
[Joan Lombardo Holland] - Her family will enjoy the money
[Rebecca Patterson Bailey] - I think it's great! She has probably worked hard all of her life and now she can relax, enjoy herself and know that her family is taken care of. My parents are in their 80's and they are both healthy and active.
[Elizabeth Morris] - Every single Person who says she doesn't deserve it, made fun of her or said cruel and revolting comments, Shame on you, Your the vile ones who don't deserve anything but the simple fact you didn't win.
[Samara Lobato] - I am appalled at all the HATE! That is exactly why none of these HATERS won or will ever win. You always reap what you sow! So what if she's 84 years old? She has a family like the rest of us, friends, and a local community to help out too. What if it was your grandmother who won? Would you still be so upset...I think not! I believe that whether or not they let her cut in line she would have won anyway. I wish her and her family the very best and continued blessings! :)
[Debbie Schmidt] - I hated hearing those shallow comments this am. Elvis and Bethany rock
[Mena Hobs] - Yes it's fair. I'll die today and win pch tomorrow.
[Allen Hess] - I was listening this morning when you guys were talking about this and it seemed like everyone was upset about her winning but what if that was your grandmother? Would still feel the same way?
[Abel Ponce] - They shouldn't be allowed to play if there senior citizens!
[Mark Elmendorf] - Give it to them they die then gov gets it back the circle of life
[Warren Perdue] - Everyone is jealous plain and simple and they wont amount!!!!!! What are you younger people going to spend it on??? a New BMW, a $50 Million dollar mansion, buying stuff that is price hiked 1000%??? Take a cruise to where ever every week of the month???? She can spend that money just as well as anyone else. So get over it, she won it. Shell probably give half to her family members unlike some of these jealous people, they would keep it all for themselves and to hell with their family and friends.
[Tammy Morris] - Of course it's fair...she paid and played like everyone else
[Mindi Menefee-Teets] - Better an elderly person than a twenty year old that throws it away and ends up broke in 5 years will nothing but attorney fees to show for it!
[Kamilah Shorty Ahmed] - Whats the radio station in buffalo ?
[Krista Bombard] - I think there should be an age limit on renewing your driver's license when you get a certain age but a age limit on the lottery...no! she won fair and square good for her
[Angie Reiners] - She'll probably do the best thing with it! So many lottery winners ruin their lives because they get to "enjoy" the money. More like spend it on things that don't matter... hopefully she uses it to take care of the ones she loves.
[Corrine Favata] - I'm glad she won! She probably has been waiting for this for a long time!
[Laura Tyler] - Yes because their children can live to enjoy it.
[Theresa Bootie] - ofcourse its fair and probably well deserved as for what happens if she dsnt spend it all b4 she passes nobodys business maybe she has family to leave it to maybe she leaves it to her 15 cats nobodys business. the other thing that annoys me is ppl crying about well off ppl winning... this is what happens to society when every one wins on field day and schools stop handing out place ribbons a world full of entitled crybabies... i dnt believe in luck but clearly the lotto is the luck of the draw
[Aida Gutierrez Cruz] - What a stupid question . This woman play her money like everyone else did she has all the right to the money and it's no ones business what she does with it .
[Teaka Lilly] - Yes and I feel bad that people are being so hateful about it. She probably worked her entire life and has seen a lot in her 84 years of life . I'm sure all of it wasn't pretty if you know your history. I say good for her enjoy it!!
[Eleyna Marie Morris] - Yes, it's unfair. If you're that old and you win the lottery, yes keep some for yourself splurge a little before you bite the bullet. But you should take the majority of it and tip the guy or girl who sold you the ticket. You could change there lives and take the rest and throw it to a few charities so when you do go out you can at least have a peace of mind that you did something good for humanity.
[Stuart Pressman] - They can share it in there lifetime. So much more rewarding.
[Autumn Winter] - Well I guess I'm going to have to be there age to win, its just sad lol
[Kenyetta Riley] - Yeah it's fair. It's the lottery!
My problem is No one that has won a huge lottery like that has ever done anything productive with the money. No huge donations to charities, no overflowing of much needed funds into the community. That's what pisses me off...you won but it's not "your" money.
[Jeff Jacobs] - It is perfectly ok for a senior citizen to win the lotto...even though they may not be able to spend it in their lifetime they may have children of their own or grants children they can pass the money down to and put them through college
[Jennah Belding] - The lady that won it is from my hometown. She is a very sweet lady with a huge heart.
[Emily Howard] - Sure, they can share it with their family!
[Elina Antonia Verkooijen] - Yes she deserves the money! I'm so disappointed in all the hateful responses from people. We have no idea what her life was like and what is still in store for her! I'm sure she will do good things with the money. It was meant for her to win, no matter what time she got the tickets!
[Patricia Ryf Hennessy] - Of course it's fair.
[Sandra Rosete] - It is perfectly fine and they can share it with loved ones, family or friends. Or donate to charity. There is a lot of good a senior citizen can do with that much money that someone with a lifetime to spend it may never think of.
[Nick Perkins] - More money for the grandkids
[Dina Marie Lashare] - I'm happy for her cause its possibly a good thing she won't get to spend it all cause if someone my age was to win the lottery some feel accident or just blow all the money. And it's great she won I'm very happy for her :)
[Andrew Opgaard] - Yes it's fair maybe they will leave as an inheritance
[Juliana Salas] - All it takes is a lifetime of a dollar and a dream! Its never too late!
[Tara Feinberg-Parrish] - It's cruel to say something like that. they have every right to win the lottery if they play and who are you to say how old they can live to.
[Papito Rodriguez] - As long as she doesn't give it all to her cat when she dies; it's cool.
[Joseph V. Guardino] - Fair and square! I know many seniors who still have an awful lot of debt to pay off or have absolutely nothing to leave behind in their will. There are also many seniors, my Grandmother for example, who still have a lot of life left in them and are just now finding the time to travel the world and experience new things, people, places and cultures. So yes, it is as fair as fair can get.
[Ashley Elizabeth] - Why are people talking as if she is gonna die tomorrow?? She deserves this just as much as anyone else!! Anyone who is mad is just jealous. I'm pretty sure if you were 84 and won you wouldn't complain!!
[Heidi Neumann-Venetianer] - What a gross question. A senior citizen has just as much of a right to win as a young person. Nobody can spend that much money in a lifetime unless they are really careless about spending money, and therefore, you can argue that it's not fair for a careless person to win.
[Chelsea Jade Nichole Barron] - Yes it is, she has family i am sure that she can leave it to. And over the years she has probably racked up debt and she doesn't have to worry about leave unpaid bills when she dies. And you never know she may live longer than any of us!
[Andrea Hunt] - If u were 84. U wouldnt think so. I would take care of my whole family and live in lux till I died
[Hailey Barnette] - But they can leave it for their kids and grandkids. Or other family if they don't have those
[Yanet Diaz] - What family for ? To spend the rest
