[liana cocca] - I work at forever new and we have all sizes come in and I always give 100% to make customers happy. Even have away a dress I had on hold for myself as a girl who was a size or two bigger than me couldn't find anything to fit after trying on numerous dresses, so I went out the back and gave the dress I was going to buy after my shift. She was so happy and thanked me so much. All worth it to see someone smile and know they rnt discriminated for being plus size!
[belinda nogare] - Typical that the males on here have nothing better to do but insist she eats crap. Get a life
[diana hartley] - the other day I asked the sales lady to get me 2 different sizes off the rack and she told me she already knew they wouldn't fit me. I politely told her they were for my 12 year old daughter who was waiting in the changing room, so rude !
[colleen rushby o'neill] - There are a lot if nasty comments here, just remember only those that are unhappy with themselves so easily put others down, EVERYONE has beauty but sometimes it's nice for others to point that out, look at her beautiful face and its quite obvious she tries her hardest to look good !!!!
[allison disbray] - I cannot believe the disgusting comments on here from both men and women!! Sad to see so many people are so shallow!!! No wonder there are so many unhappy people in the world!! My daughter is a big girl, it has absolutely nothing to do with her eating habits!! She is I'll. I'd like to see anyone say anything like that to her in my presence!!! They'll wish they were never born!! Sad pathetic judgmental people!!!
[casey hansen] - What happened to the old saying "if u can't say anything nice don't say anything at all!"
[kelly camarata] - Gee some people are ignorant douchebags!!! Like Steve Pepper!!!!
[emma shaw] - Yes, in Noosa! I was looking at a pair of super skinny jeans for my niece, they were a size 8. I was a size 12 and the lady told me "there was no way they'd fit me"! I didn't bother telling her they were a gift, $140 jeans too - the shop has since closed down!!! Karma...
[veronica roni jones] - So many people are rude and inconsiderate these days.
All customers should be treated with respect!
*they may well be shopping for someone else...
*they may be a mystery shopper employed by your employer to see if you are doing your job properly!
*without customers...there is no reason for you to work there!
*it is irrelevant how they are dressed, some of my scruffiest and roughest looking customers spend the most money!
Imagine if everyone treated each other with some kindness, what a different place the world would be.....it all starts with YOU!
[kristy henson] - Why compensate her?? Give her more money to spend on junk food!????? I think it's horrible that she was treated this way but on the same note, I don't believe the whole 'I'm big I'm beautiful' I've personally just lost about 25-30 kgs because there is no excuse to be fat, it's been proven in scientific studies that not even genetics have anything to do with it!!! If shes uncomfortable then do something about it!!!! I'm sick of people pulling the discrimination card out, how about get off your butts and pull your finger out and do something about the way u look if u don't like it, because if you were truly happy it shouldn't bother u what people think!!! No offence intended just my opinion!!
[kristyne v davenport] - Yes this happens to me.. I went into a shop here nd waited for Service nd didn't received it. Ppl who came in after me got served nd left the store. When they finally came i told them the money i hold in my wallet was too black to take. Im an aboriginal elder, also a JP. Im very well educated. Nd lived in this area for 20yrs. I dont have hatred for ppl who discriminate i just feel sorry for their absent mind.
[susan barron] - Yes I certainly have. When I was a lot larger I walked into a trendy clothing store and the shop assistant told me that there would be nothing in my size. I said that was fine I was actually shopping for my daughter but wouldn't spend a cent now because of how rude she was and I walked out the door.
[sharon fitzgerald] - Beauty comes in All sizes, I have a Bridal Store The Wedding Shop Wangaratta and we look after everyone.
[jo mckinnon] - I want to point out "the skinny are discriminated against too" if we're too skinny we are drug addicts...
My mother was a size 28...and I know how she struggled with everyone..im a size 8 and I get discriminated against..
Time people stopped trying tp be judge...we all walk in different shoes with different feet...
[vicki morris] - There are definite double standards in society. Men can look like stranded whales and still get served and also make remakes about females it seems.
[naryma lawson] - I hate it when I go shopping I always get that your black and gonna steal look, plus ima big girl too. But anyway me and my partner went to buy some shoes for our daughters at target in cairns central and because their shoes broke the day before I decided to let them go barefoot to the shop cause we were going to buy some. When you look as we're standing there trying to pick a cute pair this lady that worked there and must have been filling the shelf came ova and stood behind us and every load and clear says ova the p.a. that they needed and security check in the shoe department but before she could finish what she was saying, I had turned around and ask her excuse me are you referring to us, she quickly turned her story around and said there were some naughty kids. I knew she was talking about us but once I opened my mouth she realized that she was in the wrong and I was a very educated women and if she went any further I'd be suing her for racial discrimination. Hasn't anyone heard that saying never Judge a book by it's cover!
[sandra morris] - Brings back memories of that scene from 'Pretty Woman' when the staff didnt want to know her . 'Big mistake , huge'.
[sharon thiele] - Yes I have had the same done to me but I returned 12 mths later after weight watchers 65 kg less and had pleasure telling the same lady big mistake I won't buy from you and have told everyone I know ...
[melissa foggin] - When i was 6 months pregnant I was told by the sales person there was nothing in the shop that would fit me! Im not a big person either. I was actually shopping for my brother in laws wedding and was gutted at the time. 7 years later, the person that told me that came to me for a customer service job. You can only guess what happened after that.
[barry delamere] - Yes Target should get rid of "Gok" and employ a real Man to stock their store with "Men's Clothes" suitable for real Men, or and "Big men".
[meagan lee] - Most stores owners/CEO of those companies would appreciate a call of complaint from customers, always try to look for the name of the assistant that discriminated against you, or a good subscription of what they look like, just look online for the head office number and in a adult manner put your complaint in, even suggest that you may give a call to a higher government board over discrimination.... They will normally make sure that the person who discriminated know that they are watching them and have had calls of complaint, and obviously if it kept happening they would lose their job
[jo wear] - All the time...in live in Sydney. Why is it so hard to produce smart work wear for larger women...is it so hard to believe that someone who is overweight can hold down a professional job? Thank heavens for online shopping from overseas.
[alicia mason] - Omg so rude, i think a person knows if the sizes are to small... Do they ever think they are shopping for a present for a friend or family member.. No. Clearly a person who is size 16 wont fit into a size 8 and they know that, they dont need "reminding"
[suzie manoly] - U should name the shop so the public know which shop so all georgeous larger size people can go & pay them a visit
[bree kavanagh] - I used to be a big girl as a teenager, and accidentally walked into a supre store and was told, I wouldn't find anything that would fit me and to look in 16-26 ( for bigger people) crushed as a kid but now I think, thank god because their clothes are horrid lol
[donna newbery] - I went into a bakery recently and thought i would get a treat for after my pie ...... When asked was that it i said no i might grab something naughty only to be told by the lady "let me guess the whole shop "? She was twice my size and i felt like throwing my pie at her and walking out !!
[kristine lawler] - Alicia pash - big might not be healthy but you have no idea what this woman's circumstances are. So judgmental. I'm sure you're perfect, right? Take a look at yourself!
[amy voss] - I find a few of these stories hard to believe, that there are SO many shop assistants being this rude... I'm a big girl and not ashamed. I kmow what stores to go in and not to go in so therefore wouldn't get discriminated against... I also don't give 2 shits what people think about me however I will put my two cents in if you attempt to offend me... people are too soft these days.. keep your head held high and be the bigger person! (Scuse the pun ;))
[michelle lindsey] - All the comments on here telling her to lose weight it's easy so forth, some people find it very hard. She may have been comfortable with herself. Shop keepers like that and anyone else that thinks she's fat get a life!, beauty comes from within. What makes you all so special! Leave her alone. The shop keeper had no right, some people are just so snotty. At least she is not a stick figure like most kids these days. I massage and I would much rather massage knowing I'm massaging muscle rather than bones.
[christopher cornish] - I feel so sick to hear people have no heart towards each other!!!
It breaks my heart that people who struggle with there lives even when there shopping witch to me it's an escape from life's struggles, not make them worse!!!
[eliza florence morris] - I'm a larger girl, and when I go into some stores with my sister or friends, I will be completely ignored by the store staff... Not good enough
[eileen walder] - I was told in a very posh boutique in Hasting Street Noosa that there was nothing suitable for me before I had even started looking. Not sure if she referred to my height, my age or the fact I was casually dressed for the beach! I won't repeat what I said to her.
[melina mueller] - Supre would be the worst, rude horrible girls working there who think that anyone over size 10 is obese. On the other hand, Jeanswest are fantastic, I walked in there upset about the attitude I'd received in Supre. The Jeanswest girls were awesome, went beyond normal customer service to help me. Great service, great store :)
[mary cooper] - Well dont play the victim, tell that shop where to go and walk out with your head held high. There are plenty of other stores that will be happy to take your money!
[troy crawford] - Myer security have follewd me around because of my mohawk
[cassie lee allporttobe] - The same old fat versus skinny argument....who gives a flying poop as long as u are happy and healthy!!! Yep, their are some big girls out there who maybe shouldn't wear some of the things they do, but so do skinny girls. Just because u have a great body doesn't mean I want to see every bloody inch of it while waiting inline behind u at the supermarket with my 6 year old in tow. We all need to dress according to our tastes ans sizes and leave something to the imagination for a change.
[sarah bowmaker bowie] - Thats so rude. Im so over ppl judging others weight everyone deserves a happy loving life
[marnie kathleen hildebrand] - Larry your as gross as your personality. ..get over yourself mate you aint all that
[lesley knight] - Larry that is discussing who do u think u are see people like u think yr buff and good well of news for u your not you are a discussing person with a horrible attitude
[heidi smith] - Yes I have been, I was looking for a pair of jeans for my then 18yr old daughter & the sales woman came up & said "sorry, we don't have anything here in your size" rather rudely, I was about size 18, my daughter, who wasn't with me at the time, was a size 12. So I said " oh ok, I was looking for my daughter, you just lost a sale lady" & walked out & I never went back & my daughter, who had shopped there before refused to shop there again after I told her what happened & she told all her friends who would have then told more people. If you upset one customer you stand to lose a lot of customers!
[jeanelle barnard] - I bought a dress for a wedding in a few weeks yesterday and had the best shopping experience ive ever had while clothes shopping .... The lady who was helping me picked out about 10 dresses that she thought would suit me and stayed with me while i tried every one of them on . Thak you so much to the lady in lillie brown in emerald qld !!!!!!
[janice turner] - Big City Chic have lovely clothes for 16+ girls ...lovely helpful staff too....
[anita bobbett] - Kristy Kristy Henson salespeople have a medical condition where they can't lose weight!!! Good on you for losing what you did but please keep in mind some can't they have thyroid conditions etc.
[helen hakko casalicchio] - My husband wanted to buy me Chanel earrings from the Chanel store in Sydney and because he was dressed in his tradesmans clothes, they were hesitant to serve him. He bought the earrings but the money had to be handed over before the earrings even came out of the cabinet
[lorri jj] - maybe if they made bigger sized clothing for us bigger girls this wouldn't happen. i always feel like this when i walk into shops i dont necessarily have to have someone tell me im too big to feel discriminaton, not everyone is the size of a stick and its hard for us girls to find things that fit nicely that doesnt hugg or cling to our bodies. Australia needs to focus on the sizes for everyone!! this country has sent out the message to young ppl that we have to be skinny to fit in to this world and its just not fair!!!
[alicia elizabeth] - Luke Cook - Overweight people are not a drain on the health system. They are customers of the health system. You can not compare obesity to smoking. Smoking is deliberately ingesting a carcinogen! Plus people shouldn't bully you for smoking either. It's your body and your choice. If they don't like how you 'drain' the health system, then they should improve the health system so that it can't be 'drained' by smokers, not blame you for a broken system.
[paula sinclair-jones] - Alicia, you stupid scrubber!! Just because you are big doesn't meant you eat crap like a pig all the time. I am huge! My grandmother was an extremely large woman too. I eat 3 meals a day. Drink tea - no soft drinks. I went to the gym for over a yr and all I lost was 5 kilos. Pull your head out of your butt. Sometimes it just comes down to genes!!
[jennifer jaehne] - Alicia....another idiot. You are nasty and I really don't see the point. Get a life and stop trying to create drama on here for yourself
[karly cousins] - Against my better judgment(and some of the comments on here) I thought I would comment.. I have been discriminated against my whole life in clothing stores to the point now clothes shopping causes me extreme anxiety. Regardless if something is not going to fit, or the shop has nothing for us that should be up to us to find that out. It's degrading enough without it been rubbed in our face!! And before the childish school girl comments start about my weight, yes I do exercise on a daily basis, yes I do eat healthy and no doctors and specialist can't figure out why I can't lose weight!! Not everyone choose to be fat.....
[sharee jones] - Jacqui courte you're a doctor are you? Actually you are WRONG! There are a huge amount of medical reasons why people gain and keep weight on. It can be physical and/or psychological. Larger people can be very commonly found to be weight loss resistant for various reasons. Who gave you the right to call them lazy and in denial anyway? You're in a position to judge why?

[cheryl davies] - Whilst waiting at the deli at a well known supermarket a young guy came out to serve. Even though it was my turn he went straight for a young girl close to his age and served her. After serving her he walked away. Just because I am not 20 anymore doesn't meant I still want to eat and be treated with respect.
[sarah gardiner] - bullies everywhere...
[kitty may allen] - I was a TAFE student in the ACT many years ago - and needed a wedding outfit for my sister's wedding; I walked into a mid market level bridal store with $200 for a dress (dressed down in my TAFE gear). When I requested help to find something nice, the assistant waved me to the ugly $50 rack while she turned to the next customer who was dressed in high market designer label. This lady abused the assistant over some issue with a purchase. Needless to say, I left and spent my money elsewhere. At the time I was quite upset at the assistant's treatment as I had saved for months for that money and she made me feel judged over my clothes. This was one of my first lessons in customer service and how people should not be judged on their capacity to spend by what they wear.
[natalie burrell] - I went into a younger persons shop I guess you could call it the teenybopper behind the register looked at me like I was nothing and was talking loudly about older people in the store ( im only 27) so I casually walked past and said your clothes are for scanks anyway! I'm only a size12!!!!!
[belinda gillard] - I went into a local dress shop to buy a cocktail dress for my birthday party. The owner (who was well into her 50s and mutton dressed as lamb) told me I'd be better off going into another shop down the road (which caters for older ladies)! I was about 15 years her junior! I bagged her out to everyone I knew!!!!
[micky welsh] - i went with my 5 bridesmaids to buy myself a wedding dress and all 5 bridesmaid dresses and was told they didnt cater for brides my size( i was pregnant ). we all walked straight out. silly woman all my bridesmaids were skinny. she did herself out of alot of money that day. the next shop couldnt have been more helpful and i had a dress within half an hour
[janice turner] - Steve Pepper ...look in the mirror.... Lol
[kathy dodd] - My daughter went to buy an expensive vacuum cleaner but was dressed in her daggy clothes and messy hair and no make up. Good Guys shop assistant was very rude and unhelpful and even said that she couldn't afford one of the top cleaners. The assistant was then all over a well dressed couple as my daughter quietly left the shop. She walked into JB HiFi next door and was treated well and walked out with her beautiful Dyson. Good Guys are Bad Guys! Last time I will shop there and my hundreds of friends!
[melanie croke] - Been in her shoes. Had some serious $$$$'s to spend at this particular shop and I was told that they wouldn't have anything to fit me. Never felt so humiliated and never went back. I was 14 at the time
[brodie pollard] - She doesnt look big shes beautiful
[marg keeler] - Lets not make it a size issue, but a customer service issue?? This type of rudeness can happen to anyone!
[susan m tingey] - That is shocking why does ppl always jump to big ppl eat crap that's not alway the case some have medical condition
[guy pearson] - People need to harden up.
You need to learn how to tell people where to shove it when they are rude to you.
This crap is not world news, it's not even news.
[rachael turner] - I've been shopping before and seen a sign down the back of the shop that said, 'Real women's sizes 20+' Does this mean because I'm a size 8 I must not be a real woman?
And Lingerie shopping is an humiliating experience also, I have been told that I shouldn't bother bra shopping unless I'm happy to wear teen bras.
It doesn't matter how large or small you are, you WILL be discriminated against somewhere somehow. The size of the shopper should not count, the attitude of these employees needs to change.
[bob holstein] - If everyone was the same size, there wouldn't be variety in life! Everyone can't look the same! Have any of you thought that her weight might just be from so much bullying? No I'm sure you didn't!! Maybe some of you should take a look in the mirror before you criticize someone else on their looks!!! It's been in my experience that people who judge others on how they are the ones that have some serious demons in their closets!!!!
[sarah lawton] - Jewellery stores are the worst walked in and don't even approach me and my boyfriend, he was in work clothes (painter) they just look at us as if we don't have enough money to spend!! Huge mistake!
[leanne fillion] - And ur ego arrogance is bigger than me or her put together Larry McQueen u need to get yourself sorted
[lollee hart] - Exactly my point. LUKE COOK IS THE SORT OF BULLY WE ARE ALL SPEAKING OF!!!!!!! SHALLOW,MEAN, NASTY, SPITEFUL AND EVIL lil boy.........Grr . YOU disgust me !!!
[doreen burns] - I always love the scene in "Pretty Woman" when she goes back to the store who refused to serve her, all dressed up and said "big mistake" . I think some of these shop assistants need the same treatment
[hannah krueger] - so how many of us know if she has a health problem that makes it difficult to loose weight etc, how do you know she is on the menze to loosing weight etc... YOU DON'T!!!!!... so unless you've stepped into her shoes or know her personally keep your filthy low minded, discriminating comments to yourself. Don't give your day job up and get a life. But that's disgusting a shop doing that, hope they go out of business....
[nikki carter] - Steve and troy, arrogant pricks!!!! U have no idea of this ladies lifestyle or circumstances you are both disgusting
[fiona stratton] - I took my daughter formal dress shopping only a few weeks ago in a boutique in Warrawong, NSW..
My daughter is healthy and slender .. She was told to eat more 'McDonalds' to fit into their dresses as they had nothing to fit her.. I was absolutely disgusted, how dare this rude arrogant sales assistant assume that's daughter doesn't eat enough ..
People are to quick to comment about others appearances ..
The next shop we went into were fantastic and yes the got a $1,100 sale ..
[karren carr] - As a mum of 3 now trying to loose my baby kilos! And believe me there's plenty to loose, it's not easy. I eat to sooth myself for some reason and honestly I just eat too bloody much. However staring gossiping or looking down your nose at me won't make me order a salad for lunch... It just makes me feel like crap so then that's what I then go and eat. Crap! And the cycle starts again
[karen johnson] - Yep me too, rockmans store @ red bank plaza, 15 year ago. Yes I am overweight and yes I know they would never stick clothes in my size. The shop assistant discreetly told me they would not have anything in a suitable size. I asked her how on earth she knew what size my Mother was as I was buying her a present and I promptly walked out... And just for reference, my Mother, perfect size 12...
[leanne thomsen] - My daughter this week...she is 40 weeks pregnant and the assistant politely told her that we don't accommodate for her and walked off...I presume all pregnant ladies wear their maternity clothes for the rest of their lives...:/
[jenny beausang] - I have. Been discriminated against as well, I'm overweight. We have a retail showroom at our repair business, we don't discriminate, last time I checked one guys money is as good as the next. Don't these rude people realise they commit the ultimate discrimination against their own businesses, our motto every customer is treated well, we want them to come back.
[jo miiller] - And businesses wonder why they fail
[renee strachan] - In Thailand, we asked the shop assistant where the clothes were for bigger ladies... She took us to the maternity section! Haha!
[janine bunworth] - I was asked to get out of my wheelchair in Myer so they could search it, as they thought it suspicious that a ( at the time ) 40 yrea old woman that look perfectly healthy was in a wheelchair.
[inky chick] - Yes, trying to by a Christmas charm a few years back for my son, retail assistant wouldn't even look at me, served everyone around me. Last man she tried to serve over me stopped her. Asked her why she wouldn't attend to me. Her words were I don't like tattooed people. :( shattered I showed her my wallet full of money and left. Buying the charm at another store.
[sandra packer] - Larry McQueen, clearly gay with a name like that. You are a despicable person to say such cruel words to a teenager, it is people like you that cause teen suicides from bullying. Sunrise delete this dispicable comment!!
[eliscia hall] - some many bloody rude people on here. i am a big person, i eat my 2 fruit and 5 veges a day, i can eat my veges all day and my friut as i love them, i do work outs, i don't get there and eat a tub of ice-cream like you see on biggest loser and all the crap they eat in a week, some big people are not like that we just eat and wrong food and some people have medical problems,
[cassie lee allporttobe] - Oops, stupid phone. I used to get looks from other girls clearly wondering why I am with such a good looking guy and I'm a big girl... It's because he likes a little meat on his bones, lol
[nicole whitford] - It shouldn't matter what size shape you are we are all human and treat each other the way we would like to be treated.
[bob holstein] - @ Larry McQueen, I think you need to do the world a favor and keep your mouth shut!!! I'm 100% positive that is NOT your actual picture! I'm sure your just a sorry loser that sets at home and plays computer games and watches porn on the Internet, because you can't get a real woman! So how about you keep your mindless, stupid opinions to yourself!!
[sandra madden] - So easy to hide behind a computer screen and spew hatred isn't it Larry ? Alicia ?
[lollee hart] - ALICIA PASH.....You are a pathetic excuse for a woman.... !!!! You and Larry are a perfect match... What an evil lil girl you are!!!
[maria gilbert] - The girl i see in this photo is beautiful n probably has the kindest heart n would probably b the best friend you could ever have ... N may i remind those shallow horrible people one day ur life may depend on her saving it if heaven forbid something bad happened ... Think before being so heartless n cruel as i personally know someone who was so horrible n nasty to everyone she knew that when she took a dangerous fall n broke both arms she had such a bad reputation for how she treated others that the only person who stopped to help her after an extremely long persistent wait for help was ... In fact her daughter ... Is that how ud like to feel or be remembered moral of the story karma will return tenfold what u dish out ... Her attitude has since drastically changed ... So be kind n supportive of each other ... Who is to say what might happen to you in the next moment minute year or in your lifetime ... Give this lovely young n very pretty girl the respect she deserves and a reason to smile n be happy both on the inside and out ...... N to those too ignorant and lack an education iv struggled all my life with my weight n im telling u now medications surgery ill health and stress amongst many other factors can alter your weight i know a friend who ate nothing but healthy food n did everything right ...... U know what caused her weight gain a f n tumor she almost died from so u heartless fools do u think what u say will give someone a chance of a happy life or take it away n u can live with that on your conscience n iv known plenty of others struggling ...... So why not instead of being an ignorant oaf how about you be reminded u r human n what you judge others on can surely happen to u ... Mark my word ...
[stephen ramsey] - It's not just because of size if you are in blue collar uniform some staff at David Jones at Garden City look down their nose at you .
[kasia jaye] - interesting read... to the lady who says she wouldn't wear leggings to Tiffany... you snob! high end places are EXACTLY where dressing down sorts the wheat from the chaff
[kevinandaster pfitzner] - While working at a local mall a regular customer came in & was clearly upset so I asked her what was wrong? She told me she had gone into a dept store to buy her daughter a bottle of perfume for Christmas she asked for the larger bottle but was shown the smaller one & told the large size will cost too much for you here is the small.
How rude!! And crazy as we knew this lady had won a very large powerball jackpot a couple years before & had enough money to buy what ever she liked!
[marie kirpensteyn] - How does anybody know if she went into shop deliberately to buy a nice out fit a couple of sizes too small to use for the perfect goal... People often use this tactic. They hang it visible in their room to see when they wake up in the morning and they start that day on a positive knowing they will wear it soon. I've done it and it worked for me... I felt like a complete dick in a surf shop at 37 bigger than anything in the rack but i knew when i got home it was all positive....
[bart jaworski] - It's no one's business how small or big a person is.
[amanda williams] - I had soneone tell my partner we dont serve abusive people when we went to get food on way home from hospital- they based tgat decidion on hoe I looked at time - swollen bruised sure and very tired but then assumed id been abused by him not thst id had emergency neurosurgery to save mre from swelling on brain. Needless to say they didnt get our service and all oyr friends were told too. People are quick to discriminate and often wrongly
[ann day] - Buy on the internet and avoid all this !!!
[cathy nielsen] - I went to a specialist bra shop & the shop assistant said Oh heavens we don't cater for your size. (I am a larger size. She was fried egg size lol)
[lorraine venville] - I was told to lose weight at a clothing store because a 8 was to tight on my back and a 10 was too big... I have never been back.. I m not fat nor skinny I am a size 12 in alot of clothing and 10 so I didnt understand the sizing... the lady was a bigger lady too so I was very offended by her telling me to lose weight.
[lollee hart] - This is not just in the U.S . I have been severely bullied all my life by shop assistants. Until you have been there, you could NEVER understand. .. The world is cruel!!!
[lou ward] - Notice it is the males making nasty comments here .... grow up
[errol gusthart] - People need to stop teasing and being rude to her or anyone in that situation
Sunrise: Have you ever been discriminated against while shopping?
A US teen claims she was told to le - 100th Comments
[michael wilson] - Won't somebody think of her condishuns, she could have the diabeetus.
[bianca geihe] - Happens to alot of people we know. We bought a newer car and our local dealer around lunch time refused to come out and see if we were looking, they lost our sale and we drove about 8 hours north and bought our car. Their loss now.
[janet henderson] - So let me get this right Peter Xepapas because 99.9 percent if overweight people do this to themselves it gives 100% of humanity the right to treat them with disrespect ???? I think not . I'm in a with plan ATM and apparently I ate too low kilo joules yesterday that can make my body store fat so it's not so blank and white for everyone , and it certainly does not give anyone the right to be rude to me
[leanne fillion] - Least she isn't ugly like Larry
[elenka parkin] - I got fired from my work for being too short after i worked there for 5 years:(
[jill bettiol] - So let me get this straight, she walks into a store, the shop assistant tells her that nothing in there will fit her, and the shop assistant is rude? Because the girls too big to fit into their clothes?
So if I go into a shop designed for overweight people and get told that everything in there is too big for me, is that discrimination to?
I don't care if you want to be fat, that's your choice, but stop expecting the world to accommodate you. She's to fat to get into the clothes, maybe the sales assistant was trying to save her the hassle of rifling through the shelves looking for her size?
[ruth hourigan] - That has happened t me more than once. Most women don't complain when it happens to them because they are made to feel ugly and embarrassed. Unfortunately our discrimination laws don't cover size and businesses know they can get away with it.
[belinda gabriella] - discrimination is illegal! The lady should be compensated for the way the shop treated her - that's if it is the reason she was kicked out.
[carmen den ridder] - that not right.... keep your chin up , you gawgus no matter what
[luke cook] - I love the way those who have no valid argument just revert to insults. I haven't called anyone names. Funny how your all baggin out this shopkeeper for being rude and judgemental yet you're all doing the same thing!
[kylie sue] - That's ridiculous, I go to men's stores to buy for my husband and son, doesn't mean I'm shopping for me personally, I don't get thrown out. If she wants to try something on and causes damage she should pay, but definitely every right to look and buy if she wishes.
[helga marcenko] - I think you have lost the plot Luke Cook !!!!!!
[lisa funnell] - Yep had an experience at the Swarovski crystal store in Brisbane. browsing around contemplating a ring and not one sales person even looked up from the counter. Only customer mind you. Till 2 Asian tourists walk in and they were all over them, shame they lost my sale that day.
[julie shalders] - How rude and it is nasty and so are you larry mcqueen! So full of yourself!
[jaime mullins] - Sadly enough I have had it too im a size 6-8 quite small yes, and I was td to leave supre because mg hips are to large to look decent in their clothes....I just said fine later I went back in with a friend my same size and they called her fat and she was so upset (she has an eating disorder) ive also been in asked if I wanted to consider renting a house instead of buying because someine my age doesnt have the money or 'wits' to buy a house..I was 19 still have the money but gave up witb such a stupid real estate..now im building
[marnie kathleen hildebrand] - Man put in a complaint against rude people. .no one needs or has time for low people and their nasty words...some times people should look in the mirror before they judge!
[luke cook] - Oh and Sarah Mead.....if you look at my profile, I think "wannabe" is hardly appropriate ;) quit the little judge Judy aren't you!
[leanne brown-fraser] - I was in a 'brand name' store and bought a size 10 shirt for my beastie as a Xmas present. I obviously was not a size 10 and when I went to pay for it the assistant said to me - this is a size 10, I said yes I know and she looked me up and down and said - but you're not a size 10. I felt so small and angry.
[natalie burrell] - Hate to break it to you Larry McQueen but mussel junky idiot bragging about just how buff you are!!! What's the go mate you have to overcompensate for other flaws!! Your not perfect I fact you have the attitude of a pig! You will never be happy with yourself... I'm not a big person but the attitude of store assistance and people like you is purely disgusting!!! You should be ashamed for judging a stranger....
[jenny schneider] - My husband and I were looking at antique shops in the main street of Strathalbyn, SA with my cousin who uses a walker. This is a small town with lots of antique shops. We got to the last shop which had double doors on hinges but only one was open. My husband started to push open the other door so the walker would fit through and we were met at the door by the owner who said, "you can't come in here with that (pointing at the walker)". We said, "We have been in every other shop with it! So you're prepared to forego a sale then?" The lady said, "It doesn't matter, you're not bringing THAT in here!". My cousin who is very gentle and has a gracious attitude, but had tears in her eyes, said, "Thank you, I hope you have a nice day."
[lollee hart] - Even having a heartfelt conversation on facebook is bringing the Bullies out. The mean nasty comments on here prove exactly what we are all saying. There are such Cruel and Pathetic people around that, As we big people are all branded the same, They should too. Brand them on their forehead So, We can have a laugh back!!!
[prue valentine] - I'm a bigger girl and am under no disillusion that I could ever fit into clothes from some stores - so I don't go into them!!
The few times I have to buy something for another person I've not been treated any differently.
[paula jayne spice] - Medical problem or not its rude and people are so judgmental and horrible!
[sally cottle] - Lets hope nobody judges you and your comment carla as you have just done to so many. Tsk tsk to you
[justin hoefler] - Lose weight and you won't have this problem ..
[allison osmond] - It definitely happens. I play sport at a high level and regardless I get discriminated against not only for my size but for the sporting apparel I am always in.
People in this world need to stop being so narrow minded and allow people to be themselves.
[irene civadelic-katakis] - I usually shop at David Jones in burwood (nsw) and the shop assistants have always been nice to me. I'm between a 10-12 and there are times when clothes don't fit me but they never send me away they always help me out. People need to find manners and if they don't have any they shouldn't be working in retail!!!
[courtney bannister-tyrrell] - Ive never had anyone be rude to me while out shopping. Its disgraceful. And safe to say if I did id give them a mouthful back. Id report it to head office. Honestly who wants to be out happy shopping and get told your to fat. So many people shouldnt qork retail and in customer service
[kalee benham] - Yes but other way around walked into Katie to buy a present the ladies went what size are you? I replied 6 why she's like we don't have your size. With a filthy look I said I'm here for a present is that ok?
[karen bony] - I have had it because I'm not the tallest, get overlooked all the time, I like to point out, I'm short not invisable...
But must admit, I have walked into some clothing stores, looked around, found everything hideous, had some of the staff tell me how hot the items were blar blar blar, don't think they liked my response tho, "I would rather be shot backward out of a cannon, toward a cactus patch, then be caught dead wearing that crap lol
[christopher ryan-peek] - Happens all the time here! Only time you get services is overseas! Aus shop keepers are overpaid need to be on a tip basis to improve service! Happy to tip for actual service.
[karen simpson] - There are shops that don't cater to larger sizes and there are shops specifically for larger sizes but this should be advised in a fair and kind way to the customer, no one has the right to judge condition or not small or large
[alicia pash] - Well mayb it can be some motivation for her to lose weight? Sometimes we need that harsh reality check but lets face it, she probably went home n ate more to comfort her feelings :/ sorry i dont have much remorse or pitty for over weight people esp when we have famine crisis in this world!!
[trudy beverley] - I went into a plus size clothing shop with my daughter who is big and was asked if i new all the cloth were plus sizes as im about a 12 i said i no im not stupid i can read lol
[peter kierce] - That's wrong . She should of been looked after .
[cheryl macklin] - People can be so nasty, sometimes they should have a good look in the mirror
[deborah lee milton] - Yes!!!
Where do I begin?
Myers : looking for white goods for newly built home -3 kids in tow . The mature salesman just walked off mid sentence to answer the phone ??? Did a Julia Roberts showed him my 10,000 and said big mistake - huge
Sports girl - we don't have that in larger sizes ( when I was looking for my teen daughter )
The list goes on and on
This disgusting behaviour is why I believe shops profits are down and online shopping is successful .
[karen gurney] - Look it happens all the time. You might go,into a shop wanting to buy something for your daughter,. The staff say nothing but the looks tell all.
[beau dreux] - If it's the case that she was told to leave because she was "too big" then that's her problems, not the shops.
[dennis heape] - All the time.if your shorter than average and happen to walk to a counter before others.you will be overlooked for service to the taller person.
I am convinced most are unaware they do it to you when serving. At times i get the shits and say something, only to be looked at like i am the one showing the bad manners.
In many cases it's been so bad i have just walked out and bought else where and where i will be treated with respect.
One Large Electrical retailer (well known) ignored me completely,i walked out and their very helpful opposition scored the $4,500 sale.
[alicia elizabeth] - I don't remember ever being discriminated against at a shop. I guess if I have, I haven't cared enough to remember it. Discrimination is more about the person doing it than the victim. However, it is good to let people know if how they are treating you is leading to you feelibg uncomfortable, embarrassed or upset.
[tyler jane savage] - I feel uncomfortable shopping as they have made the sizes all different.
Wouldn't put it past them.
[neville nuk nuknuk] - stupid Americans. Can you actually report on Australian stuff that is acually news!
[allison disbray] - Yes in the Chanel store in Sydney.
[rachel summers] - I was once told that the shop didnt have my size. They did actually have my size but I was there to pick up a $2000 dress for a friend. I rang her and she cancelled the order. Then shamed the shop on tv.
[jen martin] - What if she had been buying for someone else, fair enough If the sizing May not have fit but I am sure she would have worked it out, no need to be sø rude about it. Sø that store just løst a sale and That was only one person We have heard about, imagine How many others their are. I would be appalled If that were my staff.
[candice driver] - Well lets face it she is. I'm also discrimated on because I smoke. So many places im not allowed. But My hefty additional taxes pay the health systems and the fat people are the most that benefit from that. A big reason they will never completely ban smoking.
[bridget moran] - I guess it's how they said it as people tend to be sensitive concerning their weight! If nothing fits they may be helping her to save her time etc but being gentle and honest is the way to go
[nicola maree] - Myers is the worse for this! If you're not dressed to a certain standard, waving your money about, they won't even take a second look at you !
[jude griggs] - Three quarters of Americans are big, the others are so skinny with their bones showing that if they were dogs their owners would be charged with neglect .
Sunrise: Have you ever been discriminated against while shopping?
A US teen claims she was told to le - 150th Comments
[georgina dellios] - For work, I wear track pants and runners and sometimes I need to go shopping for something or have some free time between jobs and decide that some retail therapy would be good. So, when I enter the brand stores dressed as I am, the retail 'assistants' don't even look at me let alone talk to me. I give them the chance to approach me but after 15 minutes of nothing, I walk out of the store commenting that regardless of how I'm dressed, my wallet is full.
[the wedding shop wangaratta] - if you are in central Victoria and looking for a Wedding gown or Bridesmaids gowns, feel Welcome to call in for Great Service and no Discrimination.
[matt gibson] - I get discriminated against all the time, and not because of my weight, but because of my disability. I get patronized, looked down at, and sometimes even laughed at.
[kerian ladgrove] - Yes I have. 30 odd years ago. My mother was a big size and I, being 19 at the time and very small went into a shop to buy my mother a nice dress for mothers day........ Only to be told, we have nothing small enough for you in this store, your wasting your time in here. I turned and walked out. Never went back. .... That was in Finley Australia . Store is not there any more
[elena cormack] - This is why people turn to online shopping.
[lauren mcleod] - I've been told after a sigh that there will be nothing for me in the store. So I just left, never mind I wasn't shopping for myself!
[sherellee nilsson] - It is disgusting rude and wrong. I coped it over and over not only in shops but everywhere the damage it causes is not good. Everyone is equal no one is any better than the other so people need to look right in the mirror. Look at damage u r causing not good not good at all.
[barry johnston] - Yep, I went in a shop to buy a $4000 handbag once... They told me to leave 'cause I couldn't afford it... They were right of course, I only had a Lady Godiva in my wallet...
[tash elefsen] - I had the similar discrimination in a shop in adelaide after having my son...the shop assistant said 'sorry love we only go up to a size 14 here!' I looked at her in disgust 'well you just missed out on me spending my hard earned cash in your store judging me like that, especially considering im a size 14!' So rude and made her wat her words! #judgementleaveslastingscarres!
[lisa medhurst] - Alicia pash you should get together with Larry McQueen you are both as shallow as each other !! both morons grow up
[luke cook] - Well why should fat people be excused from heckling? I smoke and I cop it everyday! They're just as big a drain on the health system as a smoker. You don't like being judged because your fat? Lose weight! Simple. In this shallow disgusting society that's how things are.
Also whoever the halfwit was that called me a "rocker"..being just as judgemental as the person who kicked this girl out. Love the hypocrisy :)
[samantha jones] - I was told once that the clothes in a certain shop wouldn't fit me as was to big. I tried it on out of spite and it fit me but I refused to buy it and walked out. The shop has now closed down.
[kiesha van der heide] - Yes, mainly when pregnant from shallow minded people! Comments like pregnant women shouldn't be shopping here (dress boutique shop) etc. Still cop sh*t and nasty comments for breastfeeding, but it's their problem not mine!
[carol holt] - @inky chick...would have asked to speak to manager. ..if she was manager would have told her she missed on $1000 of sales!!
[kat flesfader] - I sometimes get what I call "the Pretty Woman look" where shop assistants judge you on your way in. It's not nice! I'm a size 14 and once had a size 6 shop Assistant TRYING clothes on in the cubicle next to me, saying how the dress made her look "fat"' I high-tailed it out of there, so inconsiderate!
[kharon miller] - I was told by a shop assistant that I really couldn't afford the items I was looking at and maybe to look at the cheaper version .. I went to a shop that was more expensive than the shop I was in and spent up big .. I was discriminated because of how I was dressed
[jen beech] - ive never had a problem when shopping, im always nice say hello when walking through the door, they always fall over themselves to help me.
[sharron harrington] - Absolutely, try being female and going car shopping!
[debbie bullough] - thats disgusting thing to do name and shame them sweet
[carla napoletano] - I'm sorry but maybe you should dress nice when shopping in a nice place I mean I wouldn't walk in to Tiffany n co wearing leggings! And if you wanna shop in a nice shop go somewhere you know has your size!
[jasmine pirere] - The nature of a human hey...who can we blame really?!? I would've told the toe rag 2 go sniff a stink sock OR worst case scenario, my foot will leave an imprint between her/his eyes..
[jenna smith] - It shouldnt matter if you are big or small...no one has the right to tell you no and why should you change because people are judgemental....be happy with who you are and if you arent happye only then can you decide to change. Dont change because others tell you too. Big people are beautiful too people just dont see the inner beauty.
[julie knight] - What if she was in there shopping for her sister and friend
[luke cook] - Then lose some weight tubby Mcfatfuck!
[jess brooks] - You think it's easy to loose weight.
[rebecca jane cranston] - What they did to that young lady is totally wrong
Being a big girl myself I have been looking for work for many years and keep getting turned down everywhere I go
Why can't u men see that beauty comes within the person
U men sometimes go with chicks because of their looks
[krystal hawley] - I don't believe a shop assistant would tell her to leave I believe they maybe said I'm sorry I don't have anything in your size but to tell her to leave because she's too big is pretty heartless.
[jo mckinnon] - I had a lady in one of our local businesses discriminate against me...
You see I have bi polar and occassionally when im manic im somewhat wound up...
But when I entered this shop in one of my mania full on moods....
Well guess what the shop assistant said...
Yep I was a high as a kite on some form of drugs...this was enough to send me spiralling to the otherside of the pole.
Depression set in because apparently I cant be me in my own home town...
[shaz smitham] - No but being a fat pig I know it's hard to find clothes to fit me in a lot of stores so maybe this store didnt cater for plus sizes not sticking up for the store or anything
[lisa kokegei] - I walked into a shop and was looking at clothes and the shop assistant said sorry I got nothing in your size, I looked at her and then walked out
[debbie austen] - As a big person you learn what shops to avoid, she's on a learning curve. Truth is, she probably was too big for their stock.
[skye pearson] - I was told to leave a shop due to the way I was dressed
[catherine edwards] - Yes I get the funny looks because I am big
[michael wilson] - Sara Overton you're my hero
[brandon thompson] - I walked into an army disposal shop and I was asked by to touch anything as I wouldn't be able to afford it.
so I scrapped everything on the way out.
[sara overton] - I went into a plus size shop and I didn't know ,I asked for a shirt in my size and they said they had nothing in my size , I didn't have a whinge though I just said ok and left
[peter busch] - think she should give KFC a break for a while
[tamika jayde] - I'm so glad I live in aus and we don't have that problem
[emily lashmar allan] - Not size related but shop discrimination related.... I was in high school (nearly 20 years ago) we had pooled our money to buy our music teacher a retirement present, I went into an unnamed exclusive jewellery store looking for crystalware (we had lots of money to spend as the teachers had put in aswell) and was marched by staff and security out and told I didn't have enough money to spend in this store and to go elsewhere like the $2 shop across the mall. S I did the Julia Roberts thing in pretty woman, went to the next jewellery store bough up big stood in the doorway of the first store and called out "big mistake BIG mistake"!!!!! The school then phoned the store in question and the sales person I believed was in big big trouble for that!
[ali and-ollie] - Yes a local Coffs Bridal store which is no longer In Business ( he he Karma) . I walked in wearing Jeans, a flannie, Akubra and Ariats and The sales woman steered me away from the expensive dresses to the cheap rack and said these dresses would be In your price range. I looked at her and said well "you just lost a sale of Two tuxes, two bridesmaids dresses and two flowergirl dresses..... Good work" :)
[suzie wilson] - There's nothing worse than going into shops like Supre, & having very loud music blaring forth & the teenaged sales assistant bopping along to music whilst talking on her mobile! I walked around Supre (Penrith Plaza - NSW) for ages looking for a gift & never got a second glance, unlike teenage customers who walked in way after I entered the store. I walked out in disgust! How do these people get jobs? It's about time we started reporting them.
[benita conway] - Ive been both obese & 45kg as im sick. When I was big I was told that they had nothing big enough for me (with a lot of attitude!!)
When I was small I went in to one of those little Asian shops knowing their close were smaller & I was scoft at & told to try a kids shop!!!!
Please people learn some of us are what ever size we are cos we're sick & we take lots of med's!!!!!
[steve huisman] - One of my favorite movie scenes is pretty woman where Julia Roberts goes back into the boutique and sticks it to the snobby owner and her staff...
At a brand name surf shop my wife and I were largely ignored until we mentioned loudly enough for the assistant to hear that our nieces and nephew would like this or love that.... Then they came over. We left. And walked into another surf store further along and the guy was pleasant and made a good sale.
[jessica rogers] - What if she was buying for someone else how do they know? I buy for my mum.... Or buying her motivation piece (you know the dress you want to fit into) or something
[chels brown] - I have also gone into supre for buying gifts at various times....
[chels brown] - I went shopping with a family friend who is very well off, they are so well off they regularly go to England to watch the cricket anyways, we were fixing up a investment property and had to get electrical appliances so we were in our work clothes with paint stains and in a work truck and went to a electrical store, the friend knew what he wanted top of the line electrical things, oven, stove, fridge etc the bimbo serving us said are you sure you want this there are cheaper items and put it on finance..... Well when he pulled put his fancy credit card they couldn't move fast enough, even though he could have paid for it with his "lunch money"
[shannon mcdonald] - I only discriminate against those who have stolen & then come back... Never on size or race... But come in my store & try 2 get a discount on an already discounted product... U will be told 2 get out
[kristine lawler] - Well said Kylie Sue
[samson matanisiga] - Business doesnt discriminate anybody. Whn u are a part of business if u are a boss or staff all shld know whn it comes to this subject ull lost heaps frm any customers claim.
[chris bart] - Ewwww Katrina Bart you walked into a shop in trackies you westie

[kathy dodd] - All the time! The nicest small ladies shop I went in was Alannah Hill in Brisbane and the were just lovely. I was shopping for my skinny daughter in law but they didn't know that
[kimberly vick] - At lorn Jane the fitness clothses shop I was told " we don't sell BIGGER size " now am on a size 14/16...lol I thought I was an average size..so I didn't sign up to the gym because they way she looked at me..and that was in her Robina Town Centre shop
[diane jones] - Name and shame the shop and the person that said this to you . They deserve to lose business if they wish to be so rude .
[andrea maree] - Yes at lorna Jane. Just after having my baby I had a sales rep approach me and say sorry we don't have sizes big enough for you. I told head office of the comment and was ignored..I'm now a size 12 and worked in the fitness industry but I still refuse to shop with them.
[crikey mate] - Thats disgusting ..Hope the young lady realizes that the person with the problem is one asking her to leave
[liz king] - We all need to be healthy maybe she wouldnt fit into any clothes. People are falling ill with a serious brain disease because of obesity and numbers are increasing. It happened to me and if I was given the right support as a child I wouldnt be sick now
[michael brown] - At work place all the time racist dogs
[valerie kamilow] - yep ,it was when i was really sick and my stomach use to swell and the asistant in rockmans told me on top of her voice that they dont sell Maternity clothes i was 18 i am now 43 and to this day i have never stepped foot in any of their Adelaide stores since and dont intend to even after writing alettet to Management never got a reply or acknowleged that the was received or teh incident had happened
[bridget moran] - I got told nothing would fit cos I was too small, the store was so pretty! I was feeling sorry for myself cos my ego likes to sulk when I can't have what I want but in a minute when yr over yr silliness I just said sweet I will buy mum a present! Life is a gift! Turn off Ego xx
[karen penney] - Yes i have and i'm not petite though sporty figure and i rarely get anyone to help- i just walk out and spend my money else where. At the end of the day its the shops loss. :)-
[david holmes] - ive never had any thing bad said to me while ive been shopping even if I did I would give it back to the person if a person got something nasty to say to me I just give it back you say something be prepared to get it back or otherwise don't be nasty
[shirley ellingworth] - that is absolutely disgusting.
[tanya nielsen] - I have to admit it's really difficult being a plus size woman trying to buy clothes. Particularly when the plus size section is often less than half the size of the regular section. Retailers need to be aware that us big girls have every right to look just as good as our smaller friends. I don't like crying in change rooms because I can't find something that fits.
[kelly morgan] - Sad to say I was told both... I went into a shop and was told to leave cause I was too big so I left really offended. Next I walked into a plus size shop and was told I'm too small for any of their clothing. To begin with for both of these places I wasn't event shopping for myself I wanted gift cards for presents. I would have still bought them but why if thats the way they treat customers!
[justin humphries] - http://cdn.memegenerator.net/instances/300x300/38747328.jpg
This is appropriate here.
[stuart male] - I've been discriminated against. I was told to get out because I didn't have any money.
[peter xepapas] - 99.9% of overweight people are huge because they eat too much. This is the reality so wake up and diet for your own health.
[jules dorman] - Yes by my x husbands first cousins wife at woolworths supermarket
[nat doyle] - I have been told to shop in the children's section as there isn't anything small enough to fit me (I'm 170cm and this was before most stores had size 6).
[mandy corcoran] - I was shopping my wedding dress meant to be one of the best things mine was a nightmare i was a bigger girl and ever shop i walked into just looked and said we have nothing for. After being told this by 7 different shops i was shattered. Then i tried one last shop called Jenny and Jarrys bridal wear and they were jusy fantastic.
[glenn fishlock] - Hang on people did you read it right she only claims this happend nowhere dose it say its proven . So much for innocent until proven guilty. For all we know she could be lying
[kristine puplett] - Try having a ladies size 14 foot (10.5 men's, eu 45). I frequently get told they don't make shoes that size, or that I need to go to a shop for transvestites. Even Internet shopping won't help when you need pretty high heels :(
[michelle chee] - Grrr ppl are so nasty I wwas a big lady im a size 8 o was 28 in clothes this is TRUE
[kahui tobin] - I put on my condescending tones and withering looks. Act superior. Gets results every time. I went to Tiffany's to get my little sister a gift and because I had casual clothes on (it was 38 degrees in Brisbane) they ignored me. Stood there for 10 minutes before they even acknowledged I was there. So I stood there with a very rude condescending look and said to the woman "If you wish to pay your rent with your commission then I advise you serve me." She went all red and continued to act haughty towards me even when I asked questions about an item. As soon as I said I'd have it she turned into an angel. Rude.
[joanne clark] - Ive been told the same thing here in Aus. My friend who is a size 10 got told to leave a shop in the US cause they had nothing small enough to fit her!
[casey herrick] - Yes I walked into a store for bigger girls with my mum and with only one other customer in the store as I walked around she said hello to my mother and to the male customer both of which did not fit the demographic of the store and ignored me the only person that would fit the clothing being sold there I promptly walked out and spent my money else where
[ripeka harris-tate] - Most people only discriminate against you because there afraid of you.
[luke cook] - And overweight people deliberately ingest crap food! I fail to see the difference. If I see an overweight person in a shop buying nothing but sugar and saturated fats, how is that different from a smoker?
[racheal nagas] - Disgusting treatment but not surprising, people in general are less tolerant and more judgemental these days. Now that I'm older if anyone gave me crap I'd tell them where to go but at that age criticism can be really devastating. Shame on you to the shop assistant and get over yourself.
[joanne frazer] - Jenny Schneider I would sue that shop for discrimination, absolutely disgusting
[melanie gabbusch] - When I was buying my wedding dress I went into a shop and was told by the shop assistant who was quite larger than I was(which was a healthy 10-12) that oh I'm sorry you're too big nothing in here will fit you! Yep well they missed out on a $2500 sale.
[brandon schmidt] - Hahahahaha she was prob eating all the grapes
[lollee hart] - Mikail....Shame on YOU !!!
[margaret woodham] - Omg that's really bad you have the most beautiful face and i bet your heart is just as beautiful just be happy
[mikail persson] - She should have left the store. What if she's sat on someone?
[joanne frazer] - Good on you Inky, what a Rude cow.
[vicky sorbello] - Size discrimination goes both ways! I have been told repeatedly " I'm sorry, we don't cater to your size. Try the children's store." I've also been offered the children's menu while dining at pricey restaurants.
[maree adams] - My 21 year old son had a epileptic seizure in a well know retail store in Tasmania, & has been banned from entering the store unless accompanied by another adult.
[kellie hackett] - It happens all the time, not just weight, the way you look etc. Those stores don't deserve your money!!!!
[lynda wilson] - Being a big breasted woman I find that Bras & Things shop assisstants completely ignore me when I go there so I don't go there anymore. Found a great Bra shop on the Gold Coast that have bigger sizes.
[june dyer] - Yes I went to Elizabeth lady refused to sell me or serve me because I lost my boys I left crying
[christine smith caldwell] - well that was very rude of that store.they don't need people in there store.
[tanya jones] - Yep I feel for this girl.. I was in a electrical shop and it was a busy day. I was waiting for assistance. They helped everyone around me. Then there was no one in that section I was still waiting. When next I hear. Are you going to help the fat chick or do I have too. Oh and the bloke that said thid was no tooth pick himself. . I was so hurt and upset. I left the shop. And then drove 3 suburbs away to go to same company but different shop. And I had just lost a heap of weight..
[shirley bowden] - Anybody can walk into a store and look for sure, maybe she might have been looking for herself or someone else. Bad bad for business.
[kate jones] - these kind of people that say mean things bash others to make them feel better about themselves. its all a ego boost. i had a guy do that to me once
[mia violetta-rodriguez] - A sales lady in Forever New at Werribee Plaza told me that I wouldn't find a size big enough for me in the store as they dont sell "large" sizes, she was quite rude and offensive about the situation. .. I was a size 12 at the time.
