My heart was racing, hands were shaking, hard to breathe and my eyes scanning over every marine that marched in trying to find my husband.

[nosredneh rrac tenaj] - Oh my brings back memories... I had this same experience 43 years ago. My youngest son was born 6 weeks after my husband left for viet nam. Our son was 8 mos old before he ever saw him. That homecoming is still a heart rendering memory.

Seeing those buses pull up and then the 1st Calvary horse detachment came thru followed by his company..it was amazing.. we spotted him and his best friend right away.. Because they yelled "F co 227th" is HOME!!!..while marching in lol..it was so Good to have them all home but especially him.. I will never forget that day
