[Christopher Michael Richards] - Why wouldn't you? Obviously yes. Even if you're a trophy only hunter you would understand the benefit of quality deer management and understand that the harvesting of does is essential to sustaining healthy populations and healthy doe to buck ratios.
[Miles Charlesworth] - Of course....herd management, unless she has a fawn.\
[Whitetail Overload] - Great answers everyone. Thank you for the great feedback. I say shoot 'em!!!!
[Jackie Anderson] - Meat is meat, unless of course she's got a fawn. Then leave her be!
[Billy Roisum] - If anyone says no they are hunting for all the wrong reasons!
[Omar Suarez] - Deer jerky don't know gender
[Colten Anders] - If you said no you need to learn about management and population control...
[Joe Aho] - I hunt to fill the freezer not for something to look at and brag about. Like my dad used to say "Horns hanging on the wall are pretty but they are awful tough to chew".
[Tyler Walter] - Sheenas a fn retard I've seen alot of does smarter than most bucks as most said its a must for balancing herd n damn they're tasty
[Eric Loose] - Obviously anyone who says No doesn't have a clue on deer management!
[Chris Pettey] - Yes I shoot 5 every year and one buck!!!
[Jessica Bell-Sharp] - It's a doe is a deer a female deer, ray a pocket full of sun if the light is right I will shoot me a doe and if I shoot it right it will not have far to go
[Marilla Cable] - not if she has little ones
[Greg Flynn] - Went to the forest today to change sd card on the trail camera. 15 yards on the trail I heard a large branch snap to my right. I went another 5 yards on the trail and finally saw what snapped the branch. It was a BIG black bear walking towards where the trail I was walking on started. He never saw me even though he was about 20 feet away when I saw him. Wait till I tell the boys. So at this place where I'm taking the boys on the 28th of this month, I've seen two big does and one big bear. I hope they get something.
[Billy Camblor] - Are they the one with spots????
[Ryan Holyoake] - I'm a meat hunter..... But I generally pass on does until late season.
[Justin Fenstermaker] - Yes. Filling out all 5 doe tags to say you're a killing machine; no.
[Jarrod Truman] - If you don't you aren't a real deer hunter you are just killing, it is vital for herd balance
[Shane Hamblin] - If u don't your not a real hunter!!
[Shaffie Tobia] - a. ,if you gonna eat it ..shoot it..if you ain't let it walk !
[James E Duff Jr] - If it's brown it's down as long as she is sizeable!
[David Slinkard] - Only in the head!!!!!!!!!
[Matt Fraelich] - Yes because there's way to many of them and the meat tastes better mmmm jerky!
[Jeff Buchanan] - ...what kind of dumb question is this? Truly moral hunters aren't trophy hunters; they hunt to eat. It's a sad society when grown ass men have to seek out and destroy the finest animals of a species just to mount their heads on the wall as if the entire act of doing so somehow progresses and enriches their masculinity or dominance over God's creation. There's absolutely no respect for an animal or any of this Earth in killing for sport. There is a great deal more soul in subsistence than in sport. To Hell with the headhunters.
[Amy Lundy] - Yes and lots of them to balance out the herd!!
[Joshua Roger Goss] - A, there's too many accidents and too many doe running around. Insurance would need to be cheaper because all we would be doing is paying deductibles!
[Cindy Farnham Johnston] - Heck Yess! good food there! luv my deer meat. all year, all the time! :) .
[David J. Wohlfeil] - For proper game management all sexes must be taken annually. So Yes duh!
[John Haden] - Kind of a stupid question for these modern times. Any hunter with half a brain knows its necessary today to manage the herd and remove some does. Really not even a debatable topic anymore!
[Shannon Housh] - Shooting does is a must to maintain healthy deer herds plus better tasting.
[George Mckinney] - Yes! They taste better!
[Scott Rodgers] - i seen people on here saying they dont get worked up over doe you are on drugs my friends doe are pretty dam elusive
[Ken Charland] - A...you have to keep the deer population in check
[Isaiah Barrett] - Yes .... buck aren't the only ones that need managing. Besides, you can't eat antler
[Jay Mccammon] - Sheena Coffey your comments shows your ignorance when it comes to hunting.
[Todd Baker] - Yes you should shoot does as long as no fauns in tow. And as long as you take an ethical shot. Alot of you so called meat hunters will shoot anything that walks and that's pure stupidity. A bucks meat tastes just as good as a does. Of course the younger ones will be a lil better eating than the older ones but I won't shoot a young buck. A doe maybe so but let them bucks grow.
[Justin Birk] - Ill make your hooves curl up you dirty little doe!
[Chip Rader] - No I don't , I can't get excited about shooting doe's , although I know they need thinning out ,I'll let someone else do it
[Kate Trull] - If you said no, you don't need to be around a gun at all. You have to do herd ratio. Population control too. Its a must.
[Justin C Bealor] - Absolutly i dont know about yall but the last time i had antlers in the crock pot seemed like it took forever to get done lol
[Thomas Griffin] - A deer is a deer.
[Wesley Clemons Koenig] - Yes sir! I'm a meat hunter. Whatever (within the law) puts meat in the freezer, I'll shoot (I won't shoot fawns or button bucks if I can keep from it).
[David Acree] - A ..... if ya think about it you know those BIG BUCK'S ya know OL'MOSSY LONG HORN yea he's smart BUT how did he get that smart his daddy sure didn't show him.It was that BIG RAIL HEADED NANNY GOAT that showed him so if ya shoot ya big ol'smart doe SHE'S A TROPHY herself
[Greg York] - A Mans gotta eat right?
[Dustin Nethery] - If she doesn't have spotted fawns, she is fair game... I'd rather eat buck tags at the end of season than have a doe tag left over.
[Carol Merril] - With the cost of food now days, with out a blink of the eye
[Chelsey Lancaster] - A. But only if she is dry
[Jason Brenic] - You have to!!! Gotta maintain proper herd balance !
[Hailee Daniels] - If you're hunting for the purpose of management and conservation, shooting does is an absolute necessity
[Donna E Johnson] - Yes i hunt for meant and you can't eat antlers, also the meat is much more tenders

[Tracy Holt] - Yes because the doe to buck count can get out of hand and you have to thin out the does
[Bret Gerhardt] - Dixin was that ur wife posting for u ?
[Bret Gerhardt] - Yup they eat better than buckes cant eat the horns(antlers)
[Bill Leydig] - Got to fill the freezer!
[Bethany Bathurst] - If it's brown, it's down!
[Dean Roberson] - You have to control population by doing so you keep deer from starving and infectious disease so "yes" I agree with it...respect nature though
[Doris B Mesa] - Killing for food is ok thats a mans ting i ont kill any thing but snakes spiter creep crawling things and mosqiteow lol
[Doris B Mesa] - No if youkill. the dearwhat will pull santas slay
[Susanna Hanvey] - Yes but only on the designated days to aid in over population.
[Dave Gunderson] - yes I have shot 2 in my life
[Michael Yunker] - You can't eat the horns. No matter how long you boil them they never get soft
[Thomas Cole] - duh it tastes great ... and it less filling .
[Helen Gail Hubkey] - Hell no, I wouldn't even shoot any of them
[Matt Richards] - Is it cruel to hit them with a car or motorcycle? I'm in GA and we have too many little deers running around...
[Bill Moroski] - Depends on how hungry I get. B-)
[Gina Toman Boze] - Depends how hungry I am...
[Amber Zhara] - Though I love all animals and they're ridiculously cute, when it's deer time, it's deer time. Nothing like canned deer meat! MMMmm! Yes, that includes the doe.
[Sonny Heidecker] - do belive shooting fawns.
[Eric Croney] - Yes, but mature ones. It's a must for population control, and I believe doe meat tastes better
[Peter Eickstead] - Yes. It is part of managing the deer population where you are at. And they taste good too!
[Steve Huber] - Yes! I love venison, and you can't beat a doe for meat. And I let the little bucks get older....
[Bill Phelps] - You don't eat horns. SHOOT!!!
[Effin Bee Serna] - Raul believes in shooting anything
[Phil Carpenter] - Yes this helps to control population!
[Sandy Merkel] - Yes, I just don't shot babies or Mama's that have babies with them
[Anthony Cann] - Yes otherwise there isn't a balance
[Brenda Hedden] - Look at that sweet face.
[Brian Lemoine] - meat is meat !!! Doe or Buck.....
[Jim Ashmore] - No. I believe it's a myth.
[Sherry Holt] - yes it's meat in my freezer and on my table .
[Duane Pease] - A. Kill them all . Save on car repairs
[Paul Watt] - meat is meat if the freezer is empty then shoot to feed I say
[William Boyd] - no I would never shoot them... I just run them over with the truck and car...darn things are on the roads more than the woods by my house so please shoot all of them you want so my vehicles are not damaged any more...
[Daniel Dutile] - Yes, I hunt for meat, if it's brown it's down.
[Dave Evans] - yes i would,and yes i have
[Jamie Peak] - Only when my buck to doe ratio is out of whack. Right now I see three bucks to one doe. This has been like this for the last two years.
[Nicole Boudry Guenther] - In our area I would say no I would not. The reason is you are not just killing one deer you are killing whatever fawns she would have. Gotta keep the deer population high enough that I have something to shoot for years to come.
[Samantha Riley Fooce] - Sure, as long as you eat them.
[Jim Hubbard] - Only with my camera.
[Brian Andrews] - they have backstraps, don't they?\
[Kim Hill] - Yes as many as I can
[Tristan Rice Roberts] - No I don't believe in shooting a doe....... I believe you should shoot as many as possible!!! They are over populated where I live and are being a big nuisance.
[David Sherman] - Only in season!!!!!!
[Simeon Asbill] - yes it is all meet
[Robin Rob Lear] - A) Hell yes! Best tasting! And help with population management.
[Joe Brown] - Whack em and stack em!
[Logan Jones] - Yes...anyone who knows anything about herd management shoots does...and they make good jerky
[Jessica Reisinger Johnson] - Yes to keep a balance
[Mark Moore] - Yep i do you cant eat horns lol. Horns are just a bonus.
[David S Miller] - Antlers are kool but doe meat is amazing

[Kenneth Jones] - A They are doelicious!
[Shea Gilmore] - antlers are nice but they don't eat too good
[James Nix] - Yes that's what's wrong with the deer today they are not enough does taken
[Paul McCawley] - I only hunt does, more tender, more meat.(Mulies,in Idaho)
[Beth Denson] - And for the people who "don't like killing" do you eat meat?? At least deer hunting is a very humane way of killing animals to eat. Unlike all of the poor chickens who live their lives in a cage and are injected with hormones to make them be full grown in 2 weeks.
[Brandi Lefeber] - Yes, of course! The older does need to go, you have to cull the herd, just as a farmer culls his older cows and keeps his young heifers, it's no different. Any hunter that does this only improves the bloodlines in his herd.
[John Tschernach] - Either gender is delicious!
[Travis Belka] - a its meat in the freezer right
[Allison Roberts] - A.... meats, meat. You don't need a trophy all the time.
[James Strader II] - I shoot LOTS of does. Pass on the bucks till their a little older.
[John Spohn] - Yes I will be for the next 2 weekends
[Edward Deen] - I hate does they are some sneaky bit.h$s.. A shot one in a minute..
[Brian Gallo] - YOU cannot eat the horns...
[Kyle Hemmings] - I believe it's venison
[Laura RayneBo Parker] - i believe they should alternate doe and buck with each season. as long as it isnt during mating/pregnant times of the year? and if the doe is obviously with a fawn .
[Lee Daughdrill] - only if I have a tag to do so ..
[Brad Watts] - a. yes: killing all the bucks destroys the genetics, especially if you concentrate on trophies. Think about it people, look at the human race where more and more women are breeding with the sickly and weak because it's the only choices they have. Humanity has suffered the same way the deer herd does.
[Michael Pierritz] - Onlt 10s and 20s And if iam hungry. You don't think santa got that fat from McDonald hamburgers alone .
[Jimmy Hinton] - Yes, just for deer management.
[David P. Campbell] - Yes. If you eat what you kill. Don't believe on killing to kill
[Jake Kelly] - Yes. And anyone who says no is not a hunter. They are simply and trophy chaser. Manage the herd and help manage the population, keeps the buck to doe ratio higher, and you don't eat the antlers any way.
[Dave Albers] - Freezers empty...what to do? Brown it's down !!!
[Sam Dugo] - A, only a fool would say no...
[Rick Counts] - Yes .... food is food never could eat the antlers no matter how long ya boil them
[Steve Lee] - If you have ANY idea about managing a deer herd, your answer should be yes.
I love to shoot big bucks, but I also love to eat tender venison, and to have a proper buck to doe ratio. I put at least three does in my freezer every year, plus give away at least two or three. Shooting Bubba Big Buck is the bonus for me.
[John Williams] - Who are all these idiots saying no??? Heck yes two for every buck some years three!
[Mike Roebuck] - Only between the eyes !
[Bernie Dlugonski] - Why wouldn't you shoot doe? You have to manage the herd , and we allknow that the doe outnumber bucks by at least 3 to 1! And you can't eat the rack!
[Phil Willis] - Of course you do. Its called keeping the herd(s) managed and culling out the bad genes. Does eat good too. Ive passed on many bucks to shoot a doe, to keep the ratio as close as humanly possible.
[April Spillane-Brooks] - yes proper management includes doe as well as buck
[Brad Ross] - Yes unless a fawn with spots is with her
[Scott Taschetti] - Yes! It's a must for proper management.
[Billy Marlow] - yes yes yes yes
[Jeremy Richardson] - Yes... And "heard" is what you did with your ears & a noise in the past tense... pertaining to deer numbers... it's spelled HERD! Just an FYI.
[Kevin Payne] - yes, lots of them, donate the meat to those less fortunate. better with a bow/then to food then a car/then drug to the ditch.
[James John Fritz] - Yup, they eat just as good
[Arthur Brown] - yes you have to keep a balance of the heard
[John Haden] - @ John Wilkins...you were never the sharpest tool in the shed, were you?
[Kevin Holsten] - It's easier to keep em on the grill that way!!
[Cindy Farnham Johnston] - this is like asking if u would shoot a cow? I love my Beef !
[Chris Redelman] - yes for the sole purposes of meat and herd management of the heard
[Robby Vidal] - yes but not if she has fawns
[Jordan Turner] - What Tank said. I have some 168 grain Hornady's that are looking for a home in something brown and furry this fall.
[Nic Yadimolinawachabeltran Wille] - Have sex with them
[Tank Sroka] - if its Brown its down. cant eat bones.
[Jesse Weaver] - Yes meat is meat. Its conservation.
[Jeffery Johnson] - Yes I do it helps the population
[Shaun Earlywine] - Meats meat, cant eat the rack.
[Chuck Hall] - The smartest deer in the woods is a savvy old doe. Yes, I shoot does and they taste great.
[Brenda Sprague Templeton] - great for deer management and also alot healthier to eat than beef.
Whitetail Overload: Do YOU believe in shooting Doe?
b). No - 150th Comments
[Robert Latour] - yes help to keep over population
[Yolande Pace] - food is food...love deer sausage
[Jenna LaPlant] - Also, we have no choice if it is a doe or a buck when we hit one with a car!!!
[Jenna LaPlant] - I have assisted a wild doe give birth to twin male fawns. Both were trying to come out at once. If I hadn't stopped when I saw her in the woods, all three would have been lost. I have also seen a doe who had been hit by a car that had been taken to a vet alive, and had her leg amputated. When she had recovered she was released back to her herd.
[Brian Wilmoth] - Venison is venison... You can't eat the horns!!
[Lee Spirithawk] - Uhhhh YEAH! Ya can't eat horns!
[Kevin Davis] - Yes yes yes there better to eat anyway
[Willie Tichenor] - Absolutely, but I typically dont during first bow season here in MO. I take them during rifle season and 2nd bow season unless I really need the meat!
[Alan Batka] - You cant sex a venison burger...
[Chris Tarrants] - If its brown its down
[Tommy Smith] - I be leave in killing only to eat. So yes. It eats
[Sonny Morgan] - If its brown its down✌😎
[Julie York] - You betcha! Good eatin there!
[John Prusa] - Only if she does not have a fawn.
[Caitlin Davis] - I bow hunt, so any deer close enough to shoot with a bow is GREAT!! cant eat horns, but yes they look good on the wall! I DEER hunt not BUCK hunt!
[Jim King] - It's not only good management, it's politically correct. Who has ever questioned the gender of the beef, chicken or fish they consume? Or anything else for that matter. Find something real to be concerned about.
[Andrew W Sauer] - Yes, but no fawns.
[Shawn Burris] - hell yes and anyone who doesn't, doesn't need to be hunting....cause they're fucking idiots
[KeiliScott Taylor] - yes, unless has a fawn on her with its spots still then no!
[Jack Patterson] - They sure taste goooooood.
[Rachel Shields] - Yep....Buck or Doe equals meat on the table!
[David White] - yes but not if she has a fawn
[Ryan Farrell] - You have to, to sustain a healthy herd
[Donald Rice] - A).......absolutely....keep the buck to doe ratio in balance...but let's not forget to mention they are just as delicious!!
[Jim Cramer] - Definitely, I shoot a doe first, then go after my buck....Unfortunately BIG SPORTS TV CELEBRITIES, have created a trophy buck mindset among many, so all you here about is how taboo it is to shoot does....
[Jeff Snyder] - Yes. They taste good and helps even the heard.
[Anthony Desio] - If ya dont shoot them, then the dumb bastards jump out in front of your car and cause major accidents
[Bill Vice] - You can't eat em if you don't kill em first
[Garth Wilson] - a you cant eat those anlers
