[randy scott corwick] - Awesome! Great job Gov.
[teree miron bankowski] - I just wish that the insurance companies...ie FEMA would help get the residents back as well....still so much more to do and the insurance companies are not being fair....
[lala laduca] - You Rock Chris!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[sandra goetz] - where's Snookie? LOL.
[sandra goetz] - where's the page with all of the people who haven't rebuilt yet because of red tape?
[nick vanderpyl] - Ha conservative right . The very thing wrong with this country.
[diana pezzeca depp] - Shame it's windy and freezing.
[brian delaney] - Hows your girlfriend oblahblah taste????
[brendan monaghan] - "Get the hell back on the beach!"
[zachary oertel] - Can you lower taxes to make it easier to vacation there? The hotel tax is over 10% last time I checked.
[rich grinzo] - He got the boardwalk done and that's all that matters ,so just drive right past those abandoned homes with red tape and pretend they aren't there ,good job gov
[kathy vangieri corsi] - Don't believe what you read!
DRIVE THROUGH ORTLEY!!!
[sam eldridge] - Hey, when are you and Obama gonna hold hands and gaze into each others eyes again? I cringe when I think how you stabbed the entire country in the heart to make Obama look good with my money. Amazing. When will you announce your conversion to the Democrat Party? Hillary will need a running mate, and you have proven that you are perfect willing to sell the country down the river for taxpayer cash.
[pat bansch] - but Kathy Vangieri Corsi didn't you see that beautiful red carpet going over the dune on 3rd and the newly paved parking lot so visitors can get to the beach..oh they forgot to post the picture of the street leading to it or post the fact that you better go at low tide because at high tide there is NO beach!
[jake scott] - But you can't be nice to Snookie?
[chet wilson] - And yet as I look out my front door I see an empty lot where a home use to stand and six of my neighbors are still not living in their homes. We live at the shore all year round, we ARE the shore not the boardwalks. I don't want to hear about the income they bring in. None of my neighbors work on the boardwalks nor any related industries. I'm glad all the tourists are enjoying our recovery money.
[richard o'malley] - And all that was needed was the Federal Welfare checks from a bankrupt government. NJ Shore is now the biggest "Welfare Queen" in the country. Be "proud" NJ, you needed everyone else's charity because you can't support yourself. I'm ashamed to live here. The only thing "Jersey Strong" is the stench.
[damon costantini] - Everything can't get done in 6 months. Everything is moving along as best it can. Other places better than others. Just the way it is. At least alot of towns are on their way and towns are open.
Way to go Gov!!
[david demir tosun] - Obama & Christie 2012!
[andrew palmer] - And now all America will pay for this ? No new TAXES? Don't think so!
[elvin dominici] - The best camping that any politician can do, it is to help all the people. Governor Christie has help everyone above and beyond party lines. A true public servant!
[james adams] - Republican vs Democrat: The New Racism. ... Christie's #1 job is to focus on NJ and still some people still want to bash him for doing the right thing last year with the President. Luckily ignorance seems to be the minority with these posts, hopefully they get themselves educated on the real priorities instead of their Fantasy Politics League.
[kim baur shipe] - That's awesome. We will be there soon!!!
[sandra tricarico] - Our beautiful boardwalk is now open and completely renovated from town to town.
[margaret mullin normile] - Businesses are open , but the beach houses aren't fixed...so where is anyone gonna' stay????
[jessica posio] - Ortley beach-right next to the highly publicized Seaside Heights- still looks like it did 6 months ago! Don't forget about us, we still need help! I want to go home!
[carrie davidson] - That is wonderful Governor Christie. YOU put people above politics. You worked with President Obama without a chip on your shoulder like, McCain, Banhor and lets not forget the ever negative Lindsay Graham.
[kathy benson ferre] - Oh yeah, I forgot it's the republicans fault, they caused the hurricane, get a grip people.
[linda gougler] - Gov. Christie knew you could do it!
[laura cinelli] - You did it but at what cost? Do me a favor because I like you when Obama comes down please no hugging and holding hands...not a good look ...
[julia falgares] - Thank you Governor! You are the BEST!
[jeanne orrange stocker] - and he does not like party politics!!!!!
[danielle catalano cavallo] - The governor did a great job but don't forget ortley beach . Now that boardwalks are up and business are up please work on ortley so those people can go home. But I do have to say you did a wonderful job so far, keep it up. You have my vote
[kathleen connolly] - So happy the beaches are open. Now we need to focus on getting the residents back in their homes. Forge forward still a lot to be done. My kids no where near getting back in their home in Waretown.
[angelica alvarado] - <3 THANK YOU governor!
[frank costanza] - Go NJ! Screw snooki
[taryn ford rudolph] - Great job! Make sure the money making part of the shore is finished and plaster your face everywhere for a pat on the back. However what about the hundreds still displaced from my town? The beach front in my town that is still a pile of debris? Oh that's right none of these things matter because they don't bring this state money! Or the phone call i have been waiting for from your office regarding issues of raising my home. Disgusting and a shame!
[taryn ford rudolph] - The beaches should have been your last focus when people of your state are displaced.
[bertha cahall] - Taryn, it is not his fault. If they are still displaced, it would be their insurance companies or lack of insurance. Jersey is so lucky to have this man.
[rita jacoby tarantino] - Too much hatred going on here, its truly sad!!! Gov Christie cannot be blamed for what happened with Hurricane Sandy he did not create the mess, he is only trying to fix it and he is only 1 person!!! He has done the best job possible in his position!! I hope all of you adults who are talking such hatred aren't teaching your children the same stuff you are talking because there is already too much hatred in this world and that's why there are wars going on because of hated. You all need to grow up and realize that this man did not cause this Hurricane to happen!!! I live at the Jersey Shore too and I know he has done the best job possible!!!!
[taryn ford rudolph] - @Bertha- it is not his fault that this happened or that insurance companies are being extremely difficult. But he is doing nothing for the smaller towns that do not bring in revenue for the state. There is a beach in my town still in a pile of rumble.... However if we charged to get on the beach or it was as popular as Seaside I am sure he would have been here helping!
[deb brown] - It is amazing how quickly the Jersey shore is coming back to life after such a terrible disaster!
[rosemary hartman] - oh i see, all the multimillionaires who had their noses up in the air because they own beach front property that was destroyed, now want the Governor to fix it? get real! spend your own millions to fix up your own property, or.........give it back to the state. the state has to fix state owned property first! the shore is vital to our economy through tourism. without it being fixed, you'd be crying next year when your taxes would go through the roof! your personal proprty damage is reimbursed through the federal government. so if it's not getting done fast enough for you, complain to your darling Obama, who promised there'd be "no red tape" & you'd get your money quickly!!
[ron bryan] - Good job Governor!
[sidney marks] - Bet it is nowhere as good as they want people to think. They only want us to come to spend our money. I will stick with S. Jersey beaches.
[chris mirabito] - Chris Christie is bringing NJ back, hell or high water!
[hurricanrana proctor] - Go get'em, Chris!!!
[laura herzo] - God Bless and Merry Christmas!!! Oooops, I meant to say God Bless and have a nice Memorial Day Weekend!!! (50F Degrees in NJ.) The Boardwalks may be Hopping but no one is in that cold ocean for sure.
[andrea casaburri- babajko] - Now if we can get mother nature to cooperate it would be the best of everything. I want to go to the shore really bad.
[tyna derhay] - Go Jersey!! Can't wait to come home to the shore this summer!!
Governor Chris Christie: Today's front pages say it all: The Jersey Shore is back! #MDW #STTS - 50th Comments
[valerie jones] - Seaside may be back...but there are too many more that are NOT!
[cliff brown] - Your welcome,Signed the american taxpayers.
[susan jolly-egger] - Taxes in NJ have NOT gone down...top advertising that they have!!!!
[kirsten coppola] - I love this guy. He is so smart. Matt Lauer tried to stump him & Christie wasn't having it.
[emily burek] - Is the Jersey Shore just the boardwalk? I didn't realize that. I'm looking out my window at all the empty houses across the street where people used to live. They are now vacant, some of them just abandoned with their doors wide open. So are you telling me I'm seeing a mirage or don't those people count???
[chris pinto] - Christie is a "Big Blast" more ways than one...
[kimberly morford baeth] - http://www.goldenopenings.com/worldrecordribboncutting.php
[joseph w beverly] - Everyone that knows me knows I am not one to whine about our party. I use my brain and take into account that in certain states a hard core conservative will never win and I also understand the importance of obtaining a majority in the U.S. House and Senate in order to control the Committees and by doing so our party controls the procedures and most of all what gets brought to the floor for votes.
However today my Governor Chris Christie is once again running around with Barack " The Traitor " Obama . It was appareling the first time and I believe it played a part in Mitt Romney 's defeat. Yet as so many have still not received their insurance money and have not even started repairing their homes Mr. Christie is going to tour the Ocean fronts and put a happy face on how the Shore has been Restored. Yes as he has on all the commercials" Were Stronger than the Storm" . I will say this I may have to hold my nose and support him for reelection as having a Democrat as Governor would be far worse. But I vow this I will not support him for President and will do everything in my power to help those from OUR side that run against him. How with four dead Americans, the IRS ordered to go around illegally attacking those that support his party, the attacks on journalists and God knows who else' s private emails and phone records , need I go on. This Temporary occupant in the White House obviously has no regard for the laws of our land or our United States Constitution. It has become apparent to me Mr. Christie puts his political aspirations ahead of his own party. That does not work for me.
[debbie uí briain] - Take a look Gov! While you were parading around yesterday, the children of Roxbury have been quite busy at the State House.... No, they didn't get a first rate visit like little Bridget's class did in the beginning of the month, nor did they get a tour, and a giggle when you killed the spider; they came to fight for CLEAN, HEALTHY AIR!!! The very air you stole from them! Come out of hiding and fix the mess you created!!! Are they not as important as Mendham children???? https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151694427377853&set=gm.378674752239105&type=1&theater
[trevor hepburn] - Your a RINO! Why are you getting donations from George Soros???
[zack chiles] - How many lap dances you have to give Obama for that? Get on your knees a few times for
Him and his buddies? Just a couple? Lol the new ObamaGirl! Right here!
[matthew brandi] - So much hate on here!
