[steven gärtner] - Good day, I have a request for you:
You, The History Channel, have committed an outrage against the history of Colombia, the country where I was born. Because for anyone with minimal knowledge about the circumstances of violence in this country could never think of placing this abominable character as the Great Colombian. That designation was an insult to the victims of the past government. I demand of you, The History Channel, apologize to my country. A no answer might mean that you are agree with tyranny, genocide and the paramilitary groups as a form of government in history.
[beki to] - Así es! Reina de Gran Bretaña, Irlanda y emperatriz de la India

[john mcclintock] - That was a great movie!! Imagine being 18 and Queen of the British Empire.
[belinda mphande] - wow! It was really great and historical.

[tfcreate tfcreations] - I'm amazed that they are actually promoting something historic.

[haley blackburn] - Guys, it was just a joke with truth behind it. Chilll out. Steve's comment was hilarious until you all ruined it by being politically correct.
[greg green] - @Andrew Dow - Agreed. This Shane is either a shill for The History Channel or just incredibly stupid. He's always on these threads singing the praises of the crap HC airs.
[brent lundell] - She always wished she had been born an American.

[mata fils] - We must obey her.
[fernando marsilli] - A very good movie.
[alice couvillon] - Such a history nerd! I love it!!
[mike harper] - Well if they call themselves the History Channel but don't show history, then it's ok for us to "like" them when we really don't. The goal is to shame them into giving up the name so that some other channel will be incouraged to fill the void with programming that isn't aimed at a 10 year old.
[rebecca day] - I love that movie.
[mike taylor] - My understanding is that the Victorian Era was a period of very high ethical values which she strongly influenced, hence it's name. But adultery was far less likely at that time than now. In fact it was often illegal. Still, then as now, there were unethical people.
[joan mae medz] - jack th ripper became sensational during queen victoria's reign as well :(
[peter higgins] - I do know she did SOD ALL to help Ireland during the famine
[pól Ó dulchaointigh] - The famine queen...
[romeo mia adamson] - yeah we have a copy of that movie,we love u queen victoria..x
[anne schmitz-steffens] - Good morning...I am Mary Stuard !!!:-D oh,moment...
[cormac lowth] - Six, she was ugly.
[ljubo popovic] - Kosovian battle?
[chrissy varey-brown] - Oh dear Mike, the Victorian era was one of double standards I'm afraid, the middle classes and upper echalon of society could afford to be 'virtuous' and straight laced, although adultery was not unheard of and frowned upon when committed by men, (the women they committed aldultery with were always held to blame as vile temptresses) if a woman committed adultery then it was viewed as a very serious matter and she would lose everything, her home, her children and her standing in society. Sexual activity outside of marrriage for a female was viewed not as illegal but as a mental disorder, many a female spent the whole of her life in a mental institution. Interestingly even if a man tired of his wife and went to live with his mistress, his poor wife could still lose everything, including her children, as in the case of Charles Dickens's poor wife. I think the worst about the Victorian era was that child prostitution was open and common, although the age of consent was eleven years, because of the squalid and near starvation conditions of the poor, mothers often started their daughters out in prostitution at the age of eight. This is the country Victoria ruled, and was as much a product of the era as any, she would have known about all of it, and found none of it surprising but the normal, if immoral, practices of common folk.
[michael krupar] - An excellent movie!
[michael krupar] - And doesn't she become the fist Empess of India?
[sian cusack] - Love that film. I watched it just the other day.
[valerio moglie-saremi] - Keep it coming, because your TV channel clearly isn't.

[lisa moore] - Yep, those shows you mentioned aren't even history.
[roberta scott shaw] - I understand there is a History 2 channel that actually does history. Don't know how many people can access it. I can't, won't pay the super high price for a bunch of crap I don't like to get a few channels I want.
[danny tomassinho] - La reina de norte era verdad?
